Adorable!

This is my first time posting on the Photography Board. This is Smitty, he has this love/hate relationship with the camera. Also I am not so good with my camera. I am just learning. Oh, btw, hate the time stamp. Had someone tell me they taught a camera class and would look at my camera for me and guess what. They set the time stamp! On my camera (Canon A95) once it is set you can not take it off!!!

Ok, so I found that you can't take off the time stamp a tough one to believe and in fact, you can take it off. I searched the following site and have quoted from it below:
http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/canon/powershot_a95-review/
It says:
"I already mentioned the Function menu earlier in the review. There's a regular menu system as well, which is small and easy-to-navigate. Do note that some of those options are not available in "auto" mode. Here's a list of all the options in the record menu:
AF Frame (AiAF, FlexiZone, center) - AiAF is 9-point autofocus; I discussed FlexiZone earlier; center just focuses on tech center of the frame and can speed up focusing times
Redeye reduction (on/off)
Spot AE point (Center, AF point) - whether camera meters on center of frame or AF point while in spot metering mode
MF-point zoom (on/off) - center-frame enlargement in manual focus
AF-assist beam (on/off)
Digital zoom (on/off) - it's best to keep this turned off
Review (Off, 2-10 sec)
Reverse display (on/off) - whether camera "flips" the image on the LCD when you rotate the screen all the way around
Date stamp (Off, date, date & time) - see below
Save settings - to the "C" position on the mode dial. Handy feature!
I wanted to mention the date stamp feature since there's been some confusion about it. To use this feature you must use the function menu's resolution option to select "postcard size", which is 1600 x 1200. Then and only then can you print the date and/or time on your photos. It should be an option at all the resolutions in my opinion!"
So it would seem that if you change the size of your photos away from postcard size, the timestamp will go away. Give it a try and let me know how that works.
Andy
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok I am a dork!!
I guess I just freaked out when I read my manual and it said once the date stamp is set it can not be deleted. I should have looked closer in the manual. It said that the postcard setting has to be selected. I always shoot in postcard! I just did not think to change it to something else.![]()
Thanks again,

Here's a photo I took of Jasper about an hour ago sitting in the morning sun.
I had to take my George in for an emergency Vet visit this morning. Ended up having surgery. He is a "stone farmer" per the Vet, having several in his bladder and had a lot down his urethra. She was able to flush them out and had to do some other attempts to make sure it was all clear. Thankfully, it all is. He was growling again even though still groggy, which mean my little Mr Hiss and Spit is still with us! So, I decided to come to you all who love and adore our 4 legged, furry babies and post pic that I took recently. I will admit, I wouldve loved a pic of him with that collar (satelite dish) on...

He's gorgeous. Glad he's doing ok after his surgery. Did the vet put him on a special diet?
Sha, I'm glad Geroge is doing better.![]()
Thanks! he is now home and able to walk after 2 hours of walking like a drunk. His eyes are not as so dialated... he is starting to act more himself: eating, bathing, litter box.... shadowing me. Just took the bandage off for his IV site.
