My First Wedding...shot yesterday. I was a nervous wreck, but I think I came through it ok!! Besides, it was pro bono, so you get what you pay for, right?

you did great! We'd hire you based on that shot. :thumbsup2 And yes, the price was right. they got way more than they paid for.

this is by no means a good shot or even one I would keep of any other type of bird but I was out at our local state park last evening as the sun was going down and I spotted this bird on the other side of the lake. I thought it looked like an eagle but thought it couldnt be because in 51 years of living in this area I have never seen an eagle around here. Sure enough thats what it was. I will definately be making that area of the park a fequent spot to stop in hopes of seeing it a bit closer.

I haven't gotten any better at using this camera yet, but someday....

i love seeing birds/ animals in the "wild" you normally would only expect to see in a zoo! i just noticed an eagle's nest in our area. it's off a main road in a bunch of scrub so hopefully i'll be able to get something with my teleconverter and 200 lens before the trees leaf out but after the mud is dry enough that i don't need hip waders:rotfl:

Less than a mile from our house, there is a unique Croatian village being built around a small lake. It's modeled after an actual village in Croatia named Adriatica. This is from last night and one of the alley ways between some shops....

I love seeing animals in the wild too that normally would only see in the zoo or AK. I was so shocked to see an eagle there I had to at least try and get a shot. He was all the way on the other side of the lake and I had my 55-200 on the camera but it was still way too far of a reach to get a good shot but at least I got one good enough to see it was an eagle. The eagles are making somewhat of a come back along areas of the Susquehanna River but not really near here so it was indeed a real to treat to see it. Next fall I am definately planning for a trip to the Conowingo Dam area which is where the eagles and all types of water fowl congregate because of the power dam and the water releases they have there. Nikoncafe has a thread going about Conowingo if you want to see some awesome pictures of eagles.
