I hope she was the "seeker" rather than the "hider"...if not, I would guess her father with a big black camera and lens would probably give her spot away.

Hmmm- Maybe I need a nice long 400mm f2.8vr so I could get farther away and not give away her hiding place. I like the way you think!

Anyway, my DF got me the D80 for my bday and this is from my first set of pics straight out of the box (no settings, etc as I don't know how to use them LOL).

Great pic for right out of the box!! And welcome to the photo board... it will soon become your home on the web like it has for so many of us here. Testing out the new SB 600 I got for my birthday (in two weeks,lol).
I know it's not technically perfect but to get DS to a)look right into the camera b)almost smile and c)have his eyes in focus all in one shot is a pretty amazing accomplishment around here!

Verrrrrry cute...but I thought you ordered all of this online?? Someone must have splurged for the overnight shipping option!!

Happy early birthday and enjoy the new flash---I haven't gotten around to using mine yet, but I'm hoping now that I'll want to play with the D90 more, I might feel the need to take pics indoors at home, making the new flash a necessity rather than just a fun toy

Haven't had a chance to take ANY at all, so sad. I did snap one accidentally the other night, but I've been working 12 hour days and am just too beat when I get home. I'm hoping tonight I might get down to the river to take a few night shots and then tomorrow as a V-day present, I'm hoping DH may agree to go walk around somewhere to let me try it out. We'll see!!
