Photo Sharing - Nikon Part 2

A little cheese, a little fruit, a bit of salad and greens and some dessert. Only thing missing is the wine. That was off to the left. Our wine and cheese reception at the White Swan Inn in San Francisco.

Denise, I was looking on your Flickr page and noticed that you edited more pictures like this. Would you mind telling me how you edited this photo? I like the subtle color and lights in this photo.
Thanks......
I edited it in Light Room. I just looked back and I used a preset that was FREE from Matt Kloskowski. He has a blog about light room and often posts free presets. This one is called Matt's Sin City-Dark Red. There is also a Light Red one as well but the orange isn't as bright. I took so many of these the night my class was there and I didn't want them all to look the same so I played with every slider and preset I have and made each one different. His blog site is http://lightroomkillertips.com/
He has some great LR tips too.
This is one of my favorites too. I like how the flag in the middle stands out, especially since I took it on 9/11.
I had fun playing with all the sliders in LR and how each shot is so different from the next. I always thought Photoshop was my favorite tool but I am really loving LR!

Chill room at Alcatraz. If a prisoner was uncontrollable they would fill this tub with ice and make them sit in it for hours. Perhaps this is where the phrase "Chill out" came from!

After lurking on this thread (and the last one) for ages, I thought I would finally participate as well. :) Hopefully next week, I will have LOTS to share from The World. :thumbsup2

Snapped in my garden, this is from one of the last groups of sunflowers of the season:
