Philly area pin meet details

YAHOO TWO OF MY MOST FAVORITE PEOPLE. I am so glad you could make it . I told John you might be coming up and his face lit up like you would not believe.
Have a safe trip.

A friendly bump to the top to remind everyone about this coming Sunday.

Wolffer, Great to hear you are planning to attend. (not saying that I am not happy everyone else is attending, but Wolffer has been invited to a few of our mini-meets and hasn't been feeling up to joining us!)

Just saw Shirley at little while ago and she told me about the meet. We already have previous plans, so I can't be there. :( Maybe next time! Have a great time everyone and someone take pictures!! :)

Hi Barb,

Sorry you can't join us on Sunday. Perhaps you'll be able to make the next one which we're planning for the KofP Mall as soon as they get the new Food Court opened near the Disney Gallery.

As far as pictures are concerned, Franklin Mills does not allow us to take pictures. Don't know why, but they always mention it when I check with Security. I would think we'd be good publicity!

Oh I forgot to mention I did invite Barb and also firiends Sandy and John and Carl.
John is a CM at Willow Grove and Carl is a CM at Plymouth Meeting.

Okay.....got our final count...lol

Sean, Ray and I will all be there!

It will be great to see SO many of you!

My pins are in order........I think.......lol

Hi everyone!! I'll be there with my 5 year old daughter Carina. Hope to see some familiar faces and meet new ones!!:D

For those of you coming to Sunday's pin meet, who are not familiar with Franklin Mills, parking is best at the Boscov's end of the mall. It's a shorter walk to the Food Court from there, especially when you're carrying heavy pins!

Also --if anyone should stop and/or question you, Maureen from FM Marketing gave the OK and Security has been notified.

Any questions or if you need directions, feel free to e-mail!

Hi,

I usually lurk/post on other boards, but I met Chuck-PA and his wife while waiting in line this morning at TDS (for pins for my husband). While we were talking they mentioned they were going to the pin trading event tomorrow at FMM.

I'm not a collector, but my husband is and I wanted to tell him about this. Would it be ok for him to go? He's never visited the DIS, but he knows I do.

If he's welcome, are there any rules he has to know about and what should he bring except pins he is willing to trade?

Thanks,
Betty Anne

Hi Bettty Ann,

Most certainly, you and your husband are welcome and encouraged to come to the pin meet tomorrow at Franklin Mills. There are alot of spouses who are not pin traders, but rather just Disney fans. They sit and chat about their Disney trips ( and other things!) while we "pin- crazies" do our trading! YOu don't have to be a DIS member or a member of anything to join us.

Some people bring things they'd like to show others, maybe some hard to find pins, but mostly people bring their traders. We have had people bring their latest trip photo to share. Really--anything goes!

We'll look forward to meeting both of you tomorrow. We're so glad you'll be able to join us.

Any other questions...feel free to e-mail!

Greetings from Philly!! :bounce: :bounce:

Lauri's asleep as I'm giving a quick check of e-mail and the boards.

We'll see everyone at Franklin Mills tomorrow at noon.

Hi to all my old friends.............................
Seems like this post was just the other day, when we all use to have lots of fun with pins! Hi to ALL !!! I am quite lucky these days. I retired after 33 yrs of teaching, and have a 10 week old granddaughter Bella! Diane and I are excited about this new stage in our life. Seems funny to be posting again :flower: :earsboy:

Thanks Suzi & Vince!
Here is a picture of Bella at 10 weeks along with some pics of my old pin room which I still have...........
