THANK YOU!

Ok, the website seems to be up again, they did some updating it seems.

Here are a couple I found, mostly $20 or under, but there are a ton on the website, I would suggest browsing it. :thumbsup2

And it is too bad you didn't have this legalization bit planned while I was still at home! Iridesse (Tiffany & Co.'s pearl store) was going out of business in our mall, so I could have picked you up something for 80% off!

Ok so I went to Mandy's sites..the jcpenny's site specifically...and those dresses are empire waists...:guilty: I don't look good in those...
So, I went to the David's bridal site and it they have a very basic champagne colored floor length "ball gown" in their outlet for like $60.00...I'd have it cut down to tea length. It comes with a wrap. it will work...I wanted straps-I'll get over it. :rotfl:
Sarah! I wish I knew this sooner...tiffany's is a big deal with us. (all silver stuff...but still..we love Tiffany's!) I like the second earrings...pretty...hmmm...
OK off to continue the search!
Thanks for all your help!!!

(I'll post pictures later...if I'm not dog tired!)

Ok so I went to the mall today...looked at the JCPenney's dresses...um...they come to the knee...and aren't very flattering
ok so, bridal stores might be next...looking for cheap prices  I have 400 miles to drive next week. I get reimbursed mileage for the miles I drive for work...I'm gonna try to plan the wedding on that...:rotfl: It is actually not too bad!

Ok...I'm exhausted and going to bed...I feel like I'm going to fall over...More later!

Holy Cow! What a day!
It started out that I was the only photographer for an entire elementary school! The day went down hill when my first classes were a class of children with special needs and a kindergarden-These came in at the same time. Needless to say I was behind all freakin' day! :headache:

Now, DF and I had discussed we were going to do the Alaskan Disney Cruise for a honeymoon. Yes! You heard me right...DCL in Alaska...:dance3: I put DF in charge of this today b/c there was NO way I was going to be able to take care of it. I had at least a dozen emails from my TA and the same amount of text messages from DF...which I had 5 seconds to look at and 2 seconds to type back "ur choice. I can't. No time." Poor DF and TA figured it out...We are scheduled for our honeymoon on May 31. 2011 DCL Alaska :banana::banana:

Ok. So, I get home...I received an email from our officiant at home. He's game to do the ceremony!!! Nov.30 2009!!! It's a Monday and will take place in the evening. One of the girls from work said she would do the photos! :dance3: I still don't have a location for the ceremony...but what the heck...It just might be at mom and dad's -who knows!

I had sent my wedding coordinator (Pam Pearce) and email telling her what the game plan is. I just sent her an email giving her my list of dates and time preferences. WP- is non-negotiable. :yay:

I also decided to have my seamstress make my dress. I wasn't going to but the extra time will let me get together enough money and will be more than worth it! :woohoo:

It's just that now, my parents aren't home an I can't share all of my exciting news with them!!! :guilty: Oh well...they will hear about it soon enough!

WOW the past couple of weeks has gone soo well! Life is good. I'm a very lucky girl! :goodvibes

Wow, it's all happening so quickly!!

So is November 30th 2010 going to be your Disney wedding? I've often considered doing the same thing, but not the whole year before hand. There'd be no ceremony or anything like that, just a simple legalisation at the court house and nothing more, just to make everything that little bit easier. However I'm not sure what date I would have the official wedding date as, the court house day, or the disney wedding day. I'd prefer it to be the wedding day, but something tells me I would always think "but that's not really true, is it??" :rotfl:

Can't wait to see photos of everything!

Yup Nov 30, 2010 is the Disney wedding! :bride:
I would prefer to just have the whole dang wedding there-but unfortunately, I can't get health insurance unless we're married and mine is running out. We aren't really having a ceremony per-say. It's just that an old professor of mine told my mom years ago he would marry us. It will make the Disney wedding easier...there will be no reason to go to the courthouse in Orlando.

We have dubbed this ceremony the "legalization", Dress Rehearsal, and the Dry Run...Since we don't get a dress rehearsal for Disney-this works-just a year earlier

We also came up with another piece of the puzzle...We need 2 witnesses. This has proven to be a bit difficult. Close friends of ours are in med school...our wedding date is on a Monday. :guilty: The other close friends of ours-well...lets just say they have both had marriages that ended in divorce and while they are supportive they have no problem voicing their opinion about marriage.:sad2: So, then there is another friend of ours who we know would stand up for us in a heart beat...but we couldn't think of a second person.:headache:
So, after some thinking I mentioned that maybe we should have DF's grandparents stand up for us. They most likely won't be able to go to Disney. Which we both felt bad about...DF liked the idea! And then his aunt and uncle will be there too (his aunt felt left out of the Disney wedding-remember 8 person guest list and since this was around the time of Thanksgiving...they would be driving in...it seemed to work) The only part that sucks about this is that our mothers won't be t here and I don't know how I feel about that...We don't know where the ceremony is going to be...but I'm hoping I can tuck my mom and dad in somewhere-even if it is out of site behind a curtain or something...:rolleyes1
So, DF mentioned this to his mom and it just might fly!

We got so much done yesterday that we didn't want to push it! :cloud9:

:flower3:
Ok...So we know for certain with out a doubt that my flowers for Disney are red roses...
A friend of mine just offered to make me a bouquet for my "dress rehearsal." So, show me some bouquets. I don't know what I want...no gerber daisies. no carnations...I'm game for anything else...

Off to search...:surfweb:

I think it's such a great idea to have grandparents as your witnesses, especially since they won't be able to come, but who better to witness your wedding than a couple that has been together for so long!

Is your friend a florist? Maybe just tell her the colors you'd like and have her surprise you.

Do you have any favourite flowers that don't match in with your Disney wedding theme, that you wanted to use, but can't?

I know it would be great to have them witness it. Still waiting from DFs mother to see what they think.

No friend isn't a florist. She made all of her flowers for her wedding though and they turned out pretty well...

Do you have any favourite flowers that don't match in with your Disney wedding theme, that you wanted to use, but can't?

I think off whites or light greens...I don't know. Just not red roses (and those are my favorite)...and I kind of want to stay away from roses all together so this will be a little different. I thought about calla lillies...and hydrangeas...but I don't think they will go together. I'm open to suggestions...Maybe just hydrangeas in white and green?
Wow! this was much easier when I had it all figured out...but that is for the DFTW...Leave it to me to be difficult.

...ok So I found this...
B-RoseandHydrangea.jpg

But then I was thinking (scary I know...) What if I did off white roses for the first wedding and then did the red roses for the DFTW...Here is my thought---bare with me..
My dress would go from tea length to a full gown
My roses would go from off white to red
I don't know about hair yet...I'm thinking might go from up to down. No tiara to with...

That way when you look at the pics you can see the progression...Too stupid?

My other concern is the location...We don't have one. We considered getting married at his grandparents home...That is where they got married-if that is the case the above will work perfectly b/c they have too many colors going on there.

I like the bouquet up top...but it seems a little bright for November in a dreary weather place...but it is a cool bouquet. Hmmm...

Thoughts? Ideas?

Things are just a whirlwind here! It's all good. There is a bridal show that a friend of mine and I might be going to on Sunday...if for nothing else than fun. We're gonna meet with our officiant. DF has requested a fun ceremony...Something light. This is for insurance purposes only. :rotfl: We just want to have fun.

My disney dress has come in ! We are going to pick it up on 10/9. My dad recently had shoulder surgery...So, he has been bored out of his mind. So, I asked my mom if he wanted to come with us. He was so touched by the idea...He's so excited that we are including him. :goodvibes

I'm gonna check out the $100 rack at the shop. I want my seamstress to make the legalization dress...but I'm having a hard time parting with the money...*sigh* It will work out...I just need a dress...but I want something tea length and pretty...not ball gown-y...

In the process of all of this...I still have to prep for an interview and major exam! YIKES! :scared1: I'm just hoping and praying that it all works out. This interview and exam are so important! The wedding is imporant too...but time wise...YIKES...I'm just starting to get nervous...I know...but everything is coming up so quickly...it's crazy! I thought I had another year. Don't get me wrong. I wouldn't change a thing! I'm getting the opportunity to spend the rest of my life with an amazing man...but I'd like a pause button! Just for like a week...LOL

Ok...no more whoa is me...I haven't been this happy in I don't know how long...I'm loving it! Just a big ball of nerves!

Hi All!
It's Sunday!!!
Today a friend of mine and I are going to another bridal show. (the same one that offered to make my flowers for my home ceremony) I have pics to post!!!

I must have forgotten to post before, or maybe I read at work and then couldn't post ;), but I think the progression idea is kinda cute. You could always do white roses with green hydrangeas, kinda like your inspiration pic but without so many colors, and I think that would fit the overall look you're going for.

Have a great time at the Bridal show, hope it gives you tons of ideas. :goodvibes

Hi Everyone!
WHAT A DAY! I'm so glad that a friend of mine suggested going to the bridal show today! As with every bridal show, we sampled cakes, cookies, and took part in all of the candy that was available! I hope this isn't an issue when I pick up my wedding gown on Friday! LOL
She took a ton of pics and was sooo great!
We stopped at the Davids Bridal Booth...They were giving a $50 gift card away if you made an appointment. So, I did...and I got the card! So, I might go and check out their $99 dresses ...with the card it would cost me $50! Also, for the other bridal shop that I got my dress with I got a 20% off coupon for merchandise that is in stock. So, I have some options for the legalization dress!!!
(I did find some earrings that I really liked at DB...So, if all else fails I'm gonna play dress up and buy the earrings!)

They did a dash for diamonds...they called every number around mine...and didn't call mine!

I saw a woman I know who just got engaged. She was so overwhelmed and didnt have anyone with her :guilty: So, we chatted for a bit...She wants to have her wedding in May 2010...and has nothing booked!!! :scared1: Girls send her some pixie dust that she can get stuff together and with as little stress as possible! :wizard: We sat together at the fashion show...she is thinking pewter and orange for her colors...I thought those were pretty cool...I don't think I've seen them before. Like I said, pixie dust that she can get everything together! :wizard:

My friend has the pics as soon as I get them I'll post!

Overall, it was an awesome day! Life is good!

I seem to be writing every day..or a couple of times a day...but things are moving so quickly! DF and I are going to get our Marriage License 10/23!
Disney Dress Pick Up 10/9
David's Bridal with mom (for legal ceremony) 10/16
This on top of the interview 10/29 and the exam 11/7!
What a whirlwind!!!

DF and my mom keep telling me that I shouldn't get this excited about the legal ceremony...but honestlly how can I not??? A good friend of mine keeps telling me its my day and that she will do what ever I need to have her do...Down to moving furniture, photos, video tape....what ever! I am very lucky to have a friend like her!
And even tho my mom says it's just to make it legal...she is still planning cake and coffee after the "ceremony" THEN DF says "this is just to make it legal." :rolleyes2 SEriously? Arent you a little bit excited...:duck: That is what I say to that!
I guess for me it doesn't matter...What was turning into a daunting experience has turned into the coolest thing ever! I couldn't be more excited! I am getting what I need (health insurance) and the celebration that I've always dreamed of.:lovestruc
SHEESH! Nevermind the honeymoon!!! :boat:

I'm still waiting for my friend to post pics so I can post them here. I also tried to post earrings that I want from DB...

Let the good times roll!:yay:
