"Personally, I think I would make a great stripper!" 8/10 The End

Chapter Twenty - Volume 2

We piled in the Booger after POFQ and headed to go shopping at the Cast Connections store.

I adore that place. Just odds and ends are everywhere and you never know when you will find some treasure.

This time I bought some Christmas goodies. Pale blue and white tree skirt and stockings with Mickey daintily embossed throughout. Bought a sweatshirt for my niece and a few other goodies.

Dan walked into the other store only allowed for cast members and found me an awesome pair of patchwork mickey flannel pajama pants.

Finally, we were back in the van and after a quick stop at Disney University where Dan bought tickets for Taylor to Typhoon Lagoon and Epcot, we were off!

It was a sunny day and although not blazing, it was warm. Every time we are at Typhoon, we have a specific spot we like to make camp at. It is around the left side between Crush N Gusher and the shark reef/lunch area. It is never crowded unless the park is jam packed and if you want to relax - there is plenty of quiet. :worship:

Everybody got slathered up in sunscreen and Baylor donned his sock. The 4 kids went off and Dan and I did a lap on the lazy river. :lovestruc Eventually we all snorkeled with the sharks and when we came out, Carsyn decided to get a ring from the Pearl Factory.

She picked out the setting and got a stone that they had loose rather than opening one that was not the color she might want. Again, I love me a big ole ring but Carsyn is more into simpler jewelry so she asked to downsize the pearl I would have picked. It was not about saving money, it was about the look and I appreciate her knowing what she likes. This was in lieu of a class ring and I don't think I have ever seen it off her hand more than doing dishes and showering.

It has plumeria flowers on the sides and although not cheap, will always be a special keepsake. She bought herself one July 2009 that was about $70 and had a pearl she had opened but it turned her finger green and in December had to take it back. The lady then said she needed actual silver and not plated stuff. She just has they type of skin that can only tolerate more precious metals. (I am sure her husband will be thrilled!)

Here is a picture from prom that some of you might not have seen.

After getting back to our gear, we had some sandwiches and chips and a bottle of water. Of course the boys inhale their food and need to entertain :bored: themselves while waiting for the rest of us to finish.

They decided to become lunatics and freak out passerby's. :rolleyes1

That's right. They stood along the sidewalk, directing traffic at times, acting like models at others, delighting at the quizzical looks from those in swimsuits, just trying to get to H20.

Some would see them and do a double take, not sure if they were a few apples short of a peck or possibly on rampant amounts of illegal narcotics. :tilt:

There were people behind us in the sand lot, laughing at them because as people would walk by, at times the boys would imitate them or perform an impromptu skit - all the while having their noses altered in the mask.

For example - a hairy man walked by with his less hairy (thank God) wife, and after they passed - Treyner pretended to pet Baylor's back. :chewy:

A couple walked by and the man had a beer belly 10 feet out in front (literally Kate Gosselin's sextuplet belly) and wearing a speedo. :scared1:

I at first did not think he actually had on a swim suit till I saw his backside because his whole front was covered by the overhanging foopah. :scared:

Well Treyner, covered Baylor's goggles like he should not be seeing such sights after the guy passed. :3dglasses

For the most part though, they just Vogued. :lmao: They never broke form in their fierce Tyra moves and Taylor and Carsyn who were Trying to get some rays - spent most of the time, scooting their chairs as far back as possible to pretend they did not know them at all. :cool2:

(I had pics of Carsyn but they seem to have gone AWOL...:headache:)

The kids swam in the lazy river, scouring the bottom for money and lost anything and after a few more turns on some water slides - it was getting to be late afternoon and we were all starving. Time to head back to POP, get changed and get our eat on at Ohanna's! popcorn::

Did you just say 'foopah'????? :scared1:

I thought that was a term only my husband used!!

Love the updates....I'm quietly following along. Still kicking myself that we missed meeting up with you in March. I would have loved meeting the infamous Dizneydawn and her clan. You crack me up and always put a smile on my face. Love the boys too....the upside down swim masks are oh so clever!

great update - we've never been to either of the water parks - another on our growing list of to do's at Disney - my kids like to scope out "moobs" and muffin tops!:rotfl:

Great update! I cannot WAIT to get home to see what the photos look like, I am sure they are great!

Reminds me of the old saying..."if you want to feel better about yourself then visit a waterpark". My personal favorite is when a wardrobe malfunction has occured and the person is totally unaware. We have an older gentleman at our local pool who always naps in his lounger. His trunks (which happen to be very short) do not have a liner and it never fails.:banana::banana: You can guess the rest.

I have the same type of skin Carysn has! Our skin knows the good stuff! You can never fool us! :p

HAHAHAHA, what Treynor and Baylor did was hilarious!!! Do you have more Vogue shots of them?

Very, very funny update. what your boys did sound something like me and my sisters would of done to pass the time.

Nope - I have a ton of off the wall sayings. One time I used the phrase, "I almost sh** a pink twinkie," in response to almost having a car accident and my kids have never let me live it down.
You crack me up and always put a smile on my face. Love the boys too....the upside down swim masks are oh so clever!
Glad you are smiling...it helps when you have teeth.

They are amazing. Love them almost as much as the parks.
Great update! I cannot WAIT to get home to see what the photos look like, I am sure they are great!
Hope you like them!

I do not get women who were cream/off white suits. If you are a rock hard body and super tan, then maybe but enough with the pasty white complexion and white suit. You just end up looking like a dirty Q-tip when you get wet.
:rotfl2: Sounds like Treyner & Baylor provide quite the entertainment for your family! How funny!!!
They usually do and I usually am asking them to settle down which after 15 years I should know will never happen.
I have the same type of skin Carysn has! Our skin knows the good stuff! You can never fool us! :p
She doesn't seem that dissapointed. She can also wear Silpada because it has no nickel and is not plated.
HAHAHAHA, what Treynor and Baylor did was hilarious!!! Do you have more Vogue shots of them?
I will double check for more photos - I think Taylor may have taken some...
:rotfl2: I just about spewed my Diet Pepsi!!! :lmao:
The oone of them in a full body pose makes me laugh because Baylor is such a guy's guy and is willing to act a little Project Runway for the sake of a laugh.
Those two are  (but in a good way) :thumbsup2

Very, very funny update. what your boys did sound something like me and my sisters would of done to pass the time.

When we were leaving the hospital the other day after seeing my dad, it was after visiting hours so the lobby was empty. They decided to play "COPS."

Swear to God, Treyner at 19, did a side roll on half his back like he was dodging bullets and then got up on one knee with his finger pointed in a gun like he was protecting civilians behind a barricade.

Baylor almost wet himself and then I could not stop laughing because Treyner got up giggling, then noticed he had rug burns on his skin. Detictive Duffus did not figure in the lobby industrial strength carpeting!

I was praying for a hot nurse to come around the corner.

BTW - ya know how the whole idea of nurses was supposedly a fantasy of some men due to the white uniforms etc. etc...

Does that fantasy still transfer when most wear Scooby Doo, Care Bears or Frogs on their scrubs? :confused3 :lmao:

What is the Cast Connections store!?!? I'm assuming you can only shop there if you or a family member are a cast member? Sounds fun :) :) :)

Yes it was for cast members only and their friends/family. It had overstock inventory and items tro buy at a discount. Some of the stuff was neat but some was the same sort of thing you could find at the Character Outlets that sell Disney stuff.

BTW - Dan had to quit his part time gig at the Disney Store. Today is actually his last day. He is traveling a ton for his job now and his work changes his schedule all the time.

At Disney - he had to be available for 12 shifts a month, at least 3 a week. (Both actual shifts and ones he was on call and did not know until 2 hours before his possible shift if they were using him or not.)

This meant when he was home, he was on call so we could not plan anything, or he was working. Too much for the bare bones pay. Plus the discounts and tickets were not what he was told when he was hired. He was hired back in October and he never even got his "id card" from Disney. When we were at WDW and trying to use the discount, they could not believe he only had is employee ID and no badge. There they get it immediately, but stores have to send out to California. Well in December, it was okay explaining it as it had only been a few months. But in March - it was such a pain in the hind end, we never used it for purchases or discounts on food because it literally was a 20 minute process for the manager to come over, get into the HUB, verify his info and get the small discount he got.

He had been told wrong info on tickets and it turned out he only got a total of 4 one day passes a year. 2 for the first half and 2 for the second. Plus, now with all the 40% off codes, is 50% off a hotel room worth all the headache of never having a set schedule and never having a weekend free? That and free dining is available now more often as well.

The sucky part is even though he earned the 2 tickets for the first half of the year, we do not know if he will actually get them as they are to be sent out mid July.

He left on good terms and might be used seasonally still. This way if he ever wants to work for WDW in Florida where the benefits are better, he can re-apply.

I hope to get an installment up this weekend! Happy 4th everyone!!!:)

LOVED the update.

Personally, I like Blizzard Beach better. But that's because my Dad and I are not the sit and lay out sort of people. It always inevitably leads up to us starting to splash Mom with water, so she prefers to send us up to go play. Sometimes she joins us on the slides, but after the last...foopah...I think she's too embarassed to ever try again. Dad and I thought it was hilarious...but then again, we were also denying she was in our party.

Happy 4th to all my lovely DIS friends!!!!

Too bad Dan's perks at the Disney store weren't all they were supposed to be. I was in the one at MOA last night and thought about him. Wasn't sure if he worked at that one or if there was still one in Southdale? If I would have seen him, I sure would have said hi.
I'm sure it will be nice to have your weekends back. DH works every Saturday (has forever) and it would be nice to have two actual days together.
LOVE the update - those boys crack me up!! Could I hire them when I'm in a bad mood or depressed? I KNOW they would cheer anyone up.

Regarding: Lady Gaga meets Mickey Mouse

EWWWWW!!:scared1:

Dawn, what is it with you and the constant need to give people nightmares??

First it was the sasquatch on the WISH boards and now this.

The dad zipping to and fro in the background....the hideousness of that image will haunt my dreams.

Hope things are getting better 'round yer place!!

Dawn, an update! yay.

All four of my kids do crazy things like your boys. I try and tell them to settle down too. but then i just let them go and laugh at em'.

Sending  to u and here's hoping things are going better for your dad!

Happy 4th!:thumbsup2

Dawn -

How is your dad doing? What's the latest with his infection? Hope things are going well for him.

Loved the update. I see the boys are up to their usual antics again. :rotfl:

The visual of the Kate Goeslin beer belly in a speedo is a little too much for me. Yuck! :scared:

LOVED the update.

Personally, I like Blizzard Beach better. !
I like BB for the slides as well - but Typhoon has a more relaxed river and music.
Too bad Dan's perks at the Disney store weren't all they were supposed to be. I know - and now it looks like he will not get his free passes from the first half of the year - it is BS. He is not happy.
LOVE the update - those boys crack me up!! Could I hire them when I'm in a bad mood or depressed? I KNOW they would cheer anyone up.
They rent out pretty cheap - I will let them know! :lmao:

At some point you just need to embrace their goofiness!

How is your dad doing? What's the latest with his infection? Hope things are going well for him.
Thanks - he is having surgery today to move muscle to the hole in the knee and hope it heals. He does not want them taking muscle from his good leg because if the new would they create does not heal - then he has a problem in that leg too. I don't know what to think. He is beyond depressed and it has been 3 months since his amputation and by now he expected to be mobile. Now we do not know when that might happen.

It just sucks.
