Hi guys. I am not slightly joking when I say I have been on the phone with the NCAA and the cocah and leaving messages with the compliance NCAA person at Treyner's school for at least - 10 hours the past 2 days.

I will explain tom. Seems nobody can agree if he will be okay to play in the fall and I am exhausted.

Treyner's complaince coordinator is saying he will be fine to play. Longer explanation will be posted tom!

I was gone all day with my Dad and am just getting home from Rugby with Carsyn.

GREAT NEWS!!!! She scored 3 Tri's (touchdown in football lingo) and there are college scouts looking at her!!! Now if she can only stay in the non injured mode!!

I will say she looked bad butt out there with her steri-strips on her forehead and still kicking hiney!

I have nada going on in the morning or afternoon and promise at least one chapter. I miss writing for sure and all of you guys!!!

I'm sure they will have a great time, over here manual transmission (stickshift) is far more common than automatic transmission so that is 'normal'.

Isn't it strange how something like driving can be so totally unique to each country? I drive both but in Ireland, driving on the opposite side, let alone having the stick shift on the opposite side was more than I think I could handle!

Thats great that she found a dress.

I brought it with me to ECU...only wore it for Halloween though.

What does ECY stand for and where is it at? Since I am being nosy...any ideas of a major?

In your "Pluto giving a lap dance" TR you mentioned a Nike clearance store. Do you happen to remember the address of the store? I would love to go when we go down in July but I can't find it in the yellow pages. I do know where it is and I will double check the recent store receipt to make sure it is exact. It is on 192 heading south from WDW - all the way into Kissimmee, on the left in a strip mall. The mall faces south so you might actually pass it so I will get ya the address. There is a Nike Outlet you will pass first on the left as well...many people assume that is it. I would say count on a 20 minute drive with traffic from WDW resort areas. By the way I love all 3 of your trip reports so far. And your boys are so handsome They are!! and Carsyn is just beauiful. Can't wait to see the pictures of her prom dress.

She is beautiful but spends too much time worrying about the fact she is not a stick thin model. I keep telling her she needs to be the best she can be for her size, shape, build...not anybody else. She is built like an athlete, not a waif and learning to embrace that when size 3 is ideal is hard at any age.

Hi Dawn, the pics of the dogs are precious! Poor Carsyn, her head looks painful, yet she is still smiling! She is tougher than most people I know! Not a drama queen and I love that fact!

AND while we were down in the World last week, we were in line at TOT and there was this HUGE group of young guys (18 of them). Well we get in another elevator and right before we drop, the ride stops and it's announced TWICE " please keep all articles of clothing on" Why they went ahead and did that beats me! But I had to think of the Space Mountain picture!

Very shortened summary for Treyner:

In order to play collegiate sports there are requirements for GPA, amount of credits per year and how many of those need to be in Fall/spring semester vs summer. Because Treyner transferred schools, he went from 12 credits earned to 4 credits accepted at Anderson from Ft. Lewis.

The NCAA decides what the rules are for transfer students and there is a whole lot of gray area. You do not get the same answer twice from the NCAA and the compliance coordinator at Anderson will not talk to parents due to privacy issues.

It made a difference because he may have needed to take summer classes online plus there was a discrepancy whether May online classes count towards spring credits or summer ones.

Very tedious phone calls and hours of hold time and now...the compliance person is saying he is fine...that he only needed 12 credits not the 24 we were told because the 24 is for a full year at the current school. He has only been at Anderson for 1 semester. That although he only had 4 transfer into Anderson, and in order to play spring soccer he had needed six, the fall eligibility is different. There is a bi-law that states he will be okay to play fall since all of his credits would have been fine for eligibility if he stayed at Ft. Lewis.

Basically, the kids can only be punished so much if they loose credits in the transfer process since they cannot control what the new school will accept. But if they slacked and failed out of the first school and would have been not eligible to play there, then they cannot play for a year at the new school either.

We have it in writing now...and honestly it has sucked the life out of the end of last week and all this week. When you call the NCAA you are talking to phone reps - not field reps who are actually at the schools going over compliance and what they call, "Progress towards Degree." Phone reps no less than field reps - yet that is who the NCAA gives parents to talk to!!!

It is way more complicated than what I shortened it to - but I want to get back to writing this TR!!! I am so sick of talking about it you have no idea.

Bottom line:

Eligibility = scholarship. No eligibility = no scholarship!

Now for the prom saga!

As quick as it came - so it went!

Treyner will not be going to Prom as he will be in Arizona with Taylor and her family for Taylor's graduation. As soon as we found out he did not need the online May classes to end and start in May for spring credit, he was able to go to Arizona for almost a week and will not miss any soccer games.

It ended up working out okay because Carsyn's friend had a back up to Treyner anyway!

So much for the prom pics! And he will not even be here for just some with her all dressed up!!!

He is ready to take over the role of Carsyn's agent though for Rugby so I guess he is not a total slacker!

Question for all you guys:

Treyner will be driving back home the weekend of May 1st. He says he is fine driving solo but I think someone should be with him. It is almost 20 hours and he cannot rent a hotel room if needed if his car broke down etc.

Found one way flights into Atlanta for $100 and to me, it is worth $100 to know he does not fall asleep at the wheel vs risking it!

Are you saying you would fly to Atlanta and drive back with him? I would TOTALLY do that! I would need the piece of mind and not want to worry. That's a pretty long drive for a relatively young man by himself. I'm sure he could do it, but you're right, what if something did happen?
