"Personally, I think I would make a great stripper!" 8/10 The End

ACHHHHHHH!!!!

The mileage challenge!!!!!!! I totally forgot with all of Treyner stuff to post the winner on Sunday!!!!!!!

Ok...

Mileage was 4,766 and that would make the winner....

4,750....manntra!!!!!!

I still need MarietheCat24 to pm me her address for the first challenge! :worship:

manntra...pm me your address and you will have a gift on the way!!!! :cool1:

That can only mean I need another challenge to post this weekend! :teacher:

Tell Carsyn that she is beautiful the way she is. Size 3 is not attainable for many, many people and if she WAS size 3, she would be way too small to kick butt at Rugby! I said that - if she were dainty - she would not be able to woman-handle some of those girls! Plus there is a huge difference in being fit and not. She can run miles on the treadmill, stay in and never get taken out in a rugby game etc...and I would die if I ran a block. She needs to listen to how her body feels as much as hoow her body perception is! I can't wait to see prom pictures. I know she will be the best looking girl at that prom!
You are too nice!!
Oh, a couple of your pictures made me miss NC!! DH has family that lives in Asheville. That part of the country is just SO beautiful.
I am leaving this northern tundra as soon as I can get my youngest to graduate. Although the north shore is beautiful and many areas are gorgeous and I love the lakes...I hate the winters...HATE!!!

I'm right there with ya! My DH is a mechanic, so he takes care of our cars. Actually, I think I can refill the wiper fluid... This is the honest to God's truth. In spanish class, we had to translate car phrases into spanish...and I asked out loud...

"Can you change my blinker fluid?"

Yeah. While the whole class was laughing, I was trying to figure out what verbiage was put wrong only to find out that I am a moron.

Great picture of the mountains! Asheville is so pretty...my dad's family is from a small town outside of there. In fact in the Smoky Mountains there is a scenic overlook named after my family. :snooty:
So what causes the mountains to have that smokey appearance? Fabulous to see!!
Glad you found the glasses and got on your way!

Damm you work computer and your filters! I will have to wait to get home to see the pictures. It almost doesn't seem right to read a TR while having to wait for the photos :sad2:
It's not and I just saw that the pics of Carsyn are gone because I forgot I moved them on facebook.

So I need to go fix the rugby injury page!!

I'm in! You are hilarious. :lmao:
I was goin for hot but I will take hilarity for 20 Alec!
I can't believe all the adventure your family has, and you've only gotten to North Carolina! :rotfl:
Lord, we haven't even gotten to Treyner. It is so fun reliving these memories. I need a video camera!!
ECU stands for East Carolina University. It's in Greenville, H Carolina! So does each state in the south have a Greenville? :lmao:

My major is Hospitality Management, with a focus in hotels and lodging. Essentially my plan is to, gasp, work for Disney at one of the resorts. That is way cool!!!

So cool to see you tromping around where my DILs live. I'm looking forward to seeing Carsyn's prom dress pics. I finally learned how to post pics (yeah, I know ) so if you would still like to see my DD in her Cotillion dress then I'll post them...and one of Jason, my little "wanna be".
Totally post them please! I did not even know they have Cotillion's any longer. Tell me, what is the requirements to have one, be a part of one?
Oh man those sisters!:rotfl2::lmao:
They need a show!
Gosh that update was too funny! :lmao: Glad you found Baylor's glasses though.
Nobody was more glad than Caroline but I think Susan was disapointed because losing Baylor's glasses would have given her years of reminders of the day she lost an innocent child's eyeglasses and grief!
You must be really proud of her!
I am just happy she is out from the boys shadows and found something she enjoys so much to do that is all hers - regardless of how good or talented she may be. She deserves to be proud for trying something new in 11th grade!
Dawn you are fab. Never a dull moment right? No - not even on narcotics from an ER visit!

Wow, all this action and you're not even close to WDW!
We have the Keys to go to first my dear!!!

Yeah me!!!! Mmmmmm.....chocolate.....That's a great way to describe my hair!:hippie:
We did take pics right? :confused3 Was it on a reg camera or was it maybe on a phone??? I am so mad!!!
I'm sure my milage is way off.
THANK YOU FOR REMINDING ME OF THE MILEAGE CHALLENGE!!!! :worship:

Great picture of Asheville mountains. We love to drive through the Blue Ridge Parkway when we can get up that way.

Actually, there is a Greenville, South Carolina. It confuses a lot of people when they call the animal shelter where I volunteer, because the SC shelter posts a certain group of their animals online, while we do not.

After a quick Google, there are 32 states that have a Greenville. California has two, those greedy west coasters. And almost every state that qualifies as "south" has one.

Greenville.....it's a southern thing y'all.

Okay that mileage was crazy! I don't even remember my guess, but I am sure I didn't know about all the stops and stuff on the way. I just figured MN to KeyW. and back plus a bit extra for good measure. Oh well.

Bring on the next challenge!!!

Your new Kizzy looks adorable, I love all the photos, so cute!

OMG almost 5,000 miles :faint: I only drive about 8,000 in a whole year :rotfl:

yep my car is just over two years old and has done about 15000 miles in total - if I have to drive 200 miles in a day I think it is a long way and I am stressed - another difference between countries perhaps????

My car is just 3 years old and has a little over 53,000 miles but I am still stunned by almost 5,000 for just one vacation! I don't know if I could have done that and I love road trips.

How are you part of a Cotillion? Well some groups are clubs and some are part of etiquette classes. My DD started taking etiquette and ballroom dancing classes when she was in 5th grade. The kids can continue on through college and actually become part of the staff. During their 8th grade year they are part of the Cotillion class and at their spring formal they “come out”. They are formally introduced during the spring formal and the girls wear white gowns and flower halos in their hair. If they continue after that, they are part of the Lead Dance group during high school and college. They also continue to wear white gowns or a tux with full tails. They take the dancing and etiquette classes each week and have parties and “teas” during the year. They may operate differently in other areas but that is how it works in our area. It is amazing to see the dancing at the Spring Formal!! The girls are so beautiful and the guys have so much fun! I know what you are thinking….sure they do! But they really to and they get so into it!! My DD is really excited about Lead Dance next year because they will learn more of the “fancy” or “extra” steps you see on the ballroom dancing competitions or like on “Dancing With The Stars”.
Didn’t mean to take over your TR. Thanks for letting me share!
:goodvibes

She has such a baby face but she is 14. She will love looking young one day.;)

This is when she was formally introduced. It is held in the basketball collisum at the University of Georgia. I cried the whole time.

Nope, depends on the person - my car is the same as yours and my last car I turned in after four years with 26,000 miles on it. We take a trip about 4-5 times a year that is 180 miles each way and my DH drives (we usually take my car though since I have hardly any mileage!) And I live in Texas where things are big and far apart! :goodvibes

just wanted to say hello I am fairly new here on the boards. I just love your TR so much you are so funny it's great. I caught up on this one and went back and read your previous TR from last dec and am going to read your other one as well. Your family is awesome and I only hope that when my boys grow up they will still want to be taking family trips to WDW, because I hope to go every year if we can. I can't wait to read more and am excited to have finally come out of lurkdom :thumbsup2

Thanks so much Dawn!! It really was a guess .....I have thought so hard about all of these other contests and overthink everything :rotfl2: That is sooooo many miles though...I have had my car for three years and I just looked and put about 7500 on it a year! I think I need to get out more!! :rotfl: Well in my defense I do work six days a week and only live about 5 miles from work ;) :sad2:
Thanks again!! :goodvibes

ECU stands for East Carolina University. It's in Greenville, H Carolina (for clarification, please refer to the picture in your most recent update). G-vegas, as it is so fondly known by all of us Pirates, is about halfway between central NC and coastal NC. ECU is the only thing here. Literally. Our mall doesn't even have a cookie store, much to my chagrin :sad2:

My major is Hospitality Management, with a focus in hotels and lodging. Essentially my plan is to, gasp, work for Disney at one of the resorts. The plan is to do the college program junior year, hopefully be invited back to do an internship senior year, and then go from there. But I'll be happy with whatever comes my way. I actually JUST (as in, Monday) got a job working on the waitstaff at a local convention center/country club place, so I'm hoping that will give me some good experience!

See, when you're nosy, I give you waaaaay more information than you could possibly care about. My friends call it talkative, I call it thorough.

We have majors in the same "college". :D For some reason Interior Design is in the college of health and human services at my college. It is my dream job to work for Disney some day too. I think that would just be awesome but I am kind of too chicken to do the college program. :) Still thinking about it...

Great picture of Asheville mountains. We love to drive through the Blue Ridge Parkway when we can get up that way.
We need to actually drive that sometime!
Actually, there is a Greenville, South Carolina. That is where Taylor flew into!

After a quick Google, there are 32 states that have a Greenville. That is crazy!

When you're in the south, it's "GREEN-VULL"
When you're in the north, it's "GREEN-VEAL"
Tredyner gets crud because we pronounce the thing on top of your house a "rooofe" and down there it is a "wruff!" Or is it vice versa? Now I can't remember! And we have pop vs soda!
I just figured MN to KeyW. and back plus a bit extra for good measure. If your bit was higher you would have been fine! :lmao:

Holy Mileage Batman!! That is insane!! :scared1:
Thank you. Next hotel we register at will have padded rooms! ;)
OMG almost 5,000 miles :faint: I only drive about 8,000 in a whole year.
In the past year...like 12 months back exactly..we have drove to and from our little niche in the world to the below places. I MapQuested the routes we took so I can give you a ballpark on the least amount of mileage for each since I did not keep track of all the side stops etc.

Merrillville, IN - April 2009 - (16 hours) 900 miles - soccer

Sioux Falls,SD - June 2009 (9 hours) 600 miles - soccer

Orlando, FL/Vero Beach, FL/Ashville, SC - June/ July 2009 - (55 hours) 3,400 miles - Visit friends from Ireland and a little touring

Duluth, MN - July 2009 - (5 1/2 hours) 344 miles - Dan's work but I tagged along

Ely, MN - July 2009 (9 hours) 524 miles - Family Burn Camp

Durango, CO/Black Hills, SD - July/Aug 2009 (41 hours) 2,610 miles - Drop Treyner off at College #1/1 Day sightseeing in SD

Anderson, SC /Orlando, FL - Dec 2009 (55 hours) 3,402 miles - Meet Treyner at new college and quick 4 day Christmas Present Trip to WDW

Key West, FL/ Orlando, FL - March 2009 (FOREVER) 4,766 - Spring Break Trip

So without trips Dan has gone solo on for work which adds a ton more and other family related trips which are roughly 12 hours round trip which there has been at least 4 I can think of...a good ballpark this past year in the car is

16,546 and that does not include stops like I said or local travel for sports/work/pleasure.

No wonder my hiney did not get smaller last year! I was never off of it!! :lmao:

yep my car is just over two years old and has done about 15000 miles in total - if I have to drive 200 miles in a day I think it is a long way and I am stressed - another difference between countries perhaps????
Our friends from Ireland cannot comprehend the driving here - they rarely leave their area...don't need to but for vacation and then they fly where they are going! Gas used to be a ton cheaper here though so driving 5 hours was cheap and easy so most of us grew up doing that!
My car is just 3 years old and has a little over 53,000 miles but I am still stunned by almost 5,000 for just one vacation! I don't know if I could have done that and I love road trips.
Next time we will need to add on a few more pit stops overnight. I have friends who are driving to Vegas, California and then Florida, NYC this summer in a RV - Taking an entire 4 weeks for an all girls road trip with 3 generations!
They are formally introduced What does that mean exactly? What is the significance if ya will? :confused3 The girls are so beautiful and the guys have so much fun! I know what you are thinking….sure they do! Treyner danced until 10th grade. Clogging, jazz and hip-hop - loved it but the dance instructor got nuttie and wanted the guys to dress a bit too girly for the guys liking so he and one of his BF - quit!
:goodvibes

This is when she was formally introduced. It is held in the basketball collisum at the University of Georgia. I cried the whole time.
Her dress was gorgeous!!!! Of all the girls I could see from this pic...she totally stood out! I would have been crying too!!!
Nope, depends on the person - my car is the same as yours and my last car I turned in after four years with 26,000 miles on it. And I live in Texas where things are big and far apart!
I can't imagine! Treyner and Baylor play for a soccer team that was 45 minutes to and from our house and they practiced 3 times a week - then you have games. I am green with envy of you!!!!
just wanted to say hello I am fairly new here on the boards. I just love your TR so much you are so funny it's great. I can't wait to read more and am excited to have finally come out of lurkdom :thumbsup2
I know if it is important to you it will be important to them!!! I thank you for reading along and I hope you enjoy the older ones as well!!! :lovestruc
Thanks so much Dawn!! It really was a guess .....I have thought so hard about all of these other contests and overthink everything :rotfl2:
Tracy
CONGRATS!!!! Over-thinking can be a curse but you did well grasshoppa!!
For some reason Interior Design is in the college of health and human services at my college.
Treyner has Interior Design as his major as well but he wants to end up doing more landscape/architecture design...
WOW! Almost 5,000 miles!!!! Now THAT'S a road trip!!
Or the road to Hell...your choice!!! :rotfl2:

"I have friends who are driving to Vegas, California and then Florida, NYC this summer in a RV - Taking an entire 4 weeks for an all girls road trip with 3 generations!"

Now THATS a road trip! Since airfare is so high for our September Vegas trip and flights are selling out fast(Badger game AND Labor Day weekend), we decided to Mapquest the drive just for giggles. 25 hours! :scared1: We decided to go with a package we aren't thrilled with the arrival time there, but we'll make the best of it.
