"Personally, I think I would make a great stripper!" 8/10 The End

I don't have one of the giant mixers either, I used the regular hand mixer  I hinted to Brent that a counter mixer would be a great birthday present :rolleyes1

Oh, yay!! I was afraid to not follow the directions EXACTLY (I'm like that, I'm too much of a rule follower sometimes ;) ) Glad to know I can go outside the box and it will still work :) Thanks!

It will work. Just so you know its a lot of arm work, though. I think the end result was worth it!

Well I thought I had come out of lurkerdom to tell you how much I have enjoyed reading all your trip reports, but I must have posted it on your PTR by mistake. :confused3Anyway, I do love reading your reports and I'm really enjoying this one as well!

Terri

WHAT!!!!!!??????!!!!

You started this TR a week ago and I am just catching on today!?!?!

And to top it off, I am 25 pages behind:scared1:

CRAP on a cracker!!

Going back to read now

******************

Stopping to say Hi to Jeni16, a fellow Iowan which reminded me that I thought of you Dawn last week when I had my first Maid-Rite! It wasn't bad but really did need the pickles, mustard and ketchup. See Dawn, I'm not using the handy links in your first post...I'm reading it all!

OMG! So scary about the kid bringing a gun to school. Glad Baylor and everyone else is OK!

Reeses Peanut butter bars!!!! Sounds YUMMO

It will work. Just so you know its a lot of arm work, though. I think the end result was worth it!

You know what I was thinking (I know, I know, don't try to change the Mona Lisa,) but what if you mixed mini chocolate chips into the filling mix? I wonder if they'd still stick together since they're be lumpy things in there? :goodvibes

I should have multiquoted, haha. Your birthday is this week too?? When is it? Mine is the 16th. Happy Birthday!

Well Happy Birthday! Mine is the 13th. I hope you have a great one! Next year, I am going to be at Disney on or around my birthday because where else should a person turn 40??:confused3

Good grief girl, your report is barely a week old and it's 25 pages already. I was about to do my daily exercises(need to lose 50 lbs in 5 weeks :faint: ) when I found your report...then I had to read your pre trippie, so now here I am at 8:45 pm about to do my Denise Austin exercise DVD, thanks for keeping me entertained the last few hours. After I finish I'll probably go back and read the rest of your trip reports, you crack me up. :lmao:

My husband thanks you for the recipes, he's in heaven:cloud9!

Spaced well, but cooked too long

010-1.jpg

Cut time down to 8 min but didn't space well

011-1.jpg

A must use spatula if you don't have the silicone baking sheets!

012-1.jpg

Here we go, spaced pretty good AND not baked too long! Divine!

The end result, finished this fine Sat am and presently 10:12 pm Sat there are 4 cookies left, with 75% of that in my happy hubbys belly! Now these are amateur compared to yours I'm sure, since I used Kraft Peanut Butter and cheap vanilla:eek: I love love love these cookies, I thank you but my hips don't!;)

Oh and by the way I love them both ways, with and without the icing. How come my turned out so thin, were they supposed to ? I used a hand mixed also, wish I had one of those fancy counter top thingys! Cookies are my favorite dessert over pretty much anything, weird I know, I was deprived as a child!

Hope that is a good "OH MY" not an, "OH MY" like you need to go to the confessional! BTW _ what does MH stand for? I always think math but now it's bugging me!

:rotfl:Yeah, it's a good "OH MY WORD!"

MH is for my school's name, but I teach math, too! :thumbsup2

I am not from the south so I do not know if foods tend to just be more bland.

I am, and no, I don't think we like bland food. :) My granny was the best cook . :thumbsup2 Of course, I cringe just thinking about how she got all that flavor in her foods----it usually involved a big ole' piece of "fatback" thrown in whatever she was cooking!

:thumbsup2 all the baking looks great. I know what I will be doing with DD on our last day of spring break :sad1: But that does bring us to 46 days from WDW :cool1: Made the last payment today! And DD is ready to bring our big bins and cooler out and start packing!

Waiting for the rest of this great TR. By the way...now my Jason wants to get his ears pierced...dang those "cool" boys of yours :cool2:;) He wants tatoos also but that is my brother's fault...Uncle B is also :cool2:

:rotfl:Yeah, it's a good "OH MY WORD!"

:thumbsup2

but "Bless her/his heart" is not so good. ;)
Ugly baby...."bless it"
Bad hair fresh from the hair dresser...."Bless her heart"
You always know you are in trouble when a southern woman says to you..."Well Honey, bless your heart!" Could be a run in your hose...could be the town knows your husband is up to no good!

That's funny! Praise the Lard and Pass the Bisquits!:lmao:
I need to get one !!! It is very funny!!
All of the food on this thread looks/sounds amazing!!:goodvibes It's making me hungry.....then again what doesn't make me hungry!!
Sucking on gummy bears as we speak so I do not go over my fat content for the day!!! UGH!!!
Oh my you have me cracking up right now!

ACTUALLY I use the mixer to get the tassles spinning...
BUT...can you get the tassels to go the opposite directions???? :confused3 :rotfl2:
How did I know I would get busted out about the peanut butter? Cause I have had practice spying on my rotten kids trying to get away with things!!! :rotfl: I had turned the jar around so I wouldn't get yelled at, but apparently not enough... I just think for the cookies - there is a density that Skippy gives...maybe we should have a baking weekend and try all different types of peanut butter!

We just dropped a 45 foot walnut :scared1:
How is your husband handling loosing his 45 foot walnut? That must be in some sort of record book! ;)
I guess this would be a bad time to mention that I'm a JIF girl, huh?:guilty:
I do not mind Jif - just not for cooking.
Oh, and I'm dying to try to make those (my husband LOVES peanut butter,) but I don't have one of those giant mixers... :(
Arm work baby! Lot's of it!
Ok, all this food talk is NOT helping me. I have a goal of losing 50 pounds before I turn 40 in a year and 3 days so I didn't buy the ingredients.
Make them the morning of your birthday and bring them to work - you get one let the play gurus eat the rest!!!
I hinted to Brent that a counter mixer would be a great birthday present :rolleyes1
I never had one before either. Dan brought it into the relationship - now I want a bigger one!!!

Well I thought I had come out of lurkerdom to tell you how much I have enjoyed reading all your trip reports, but I must have posted it on your PTR by mistake. :confused3Anyway, I do love reading your reports and I'm really enjoying this one as well!

Terri
Thanlks for stopping by and I hope you move in with the rest of the loons! :cloud9:
I don't think I could bake anymore without my stand mixer.
Amen!
WHAT!!!!!!??????!!!!

You started this TR a week ago and I am just catching on today!?!?!

And to top it off, I am 25 pages behind:scared1:
There are a few of you I think are way behind!!
CRAP on a cracker!!
What kind of cracker specifically do you crap on? Ritz?
Stopping to say Hi to Jeni16, a fellow Iowan which reminded me that I thought of you Dawn last week when I had my first Maid-Rite! I wish you would have taken a picture!!

You know what I was thinking (I know, I know, don't try to change the Mona Lisa,) but what if you mixed mini chocolate chips into the filling mix? I wonder if they'd still stick together since they're be lumpy things in there? :goodvibes
I think it would be worth a try! You could also roll the outside of the frosting in the chocolate chips!!
Loving it so far.
Thanks and I love you said hi!!:cheer2:
so now here I am at 8:45 pm about to do my Denise Austin exercise DVD, thanks for keeping me entertained the last few hours. After I finish I'll probably go back and read the rest of your trip reports, you crack me up. :lmao:
Good for you for following through with your exercise...I will pray for 50 in 5 (good luck with all that!) and know the crazy talk you give yourself cause I have done it many a time...but most of all - I hope you enjoy the laughs here!
My husband thanks you for the recipes, he's in heaven:cloud9!
How did he like the bars?

The end result, finished this fine Sat am and presently 10:12 pm Sat there are 4 cookies left, with 75% of that in my happy hubbys belly! Now these are amateur compared to yours I'm sure, since I used Kraft Peanut Butter and cheap vanilla:eek: The cheap vanilla is a killer for sure but you gotta use what you got! I love love love these cookies, I thank you but my hips don't!;)
Maybe I should start a restaurant and a weight loss center next door!!
Oh and by the way I love them both ways, with and without the icing. How come my turned out so thin, were they supposed to ? Mine were not thin but how old is your baking soda and do you keep it in an airtight container?

All your baking supplies should be in an airtight container - soda takes on the smells from what it is around (hence they use it for fridges and closets and shoes) so if you leave it in the box that once yo open , you cannot re-close, it takes on aromas from your spice cupboard, grease from your stove etc. Plus it gets old - air sucks the moisture from the powder and causes your products not to rise.

Ingredients are a key to your cooking.

Spices are actually only guaranteed for freshness for 6 months in the container they come in. How old is your spices? I know people who move with their spices several times.

Store your spices in a cool, dark, dry place away from sunlight or heat sources. Many spices have larva in them - with heat, bugs hatch. Plus the sunlight dries them out as does age - like drying out a flower.

You would not expect a flour to smell 1 year later but people think their spices last 4 years.

Ok - sorry - former kitchen guru...all I can tell ya is get thee to any natural foods place that sells bulk spices. Invest in some spice containers from any multitude of places and buy your spices in bulk.

Cheaper than the store because you are not paying for a name brand or container and the freshness of a spice with no preservatives will knock you off your feet.

Your family will think you have a new recipe and the truth will be - same recipe, just better ingredients!

MH is for my school's name, but I teach math, too! :thumbsup2
I got lucky then!!
Of course, I cringe just thinking about how she got all that flavor in her foods----it usually involved a big ole' piece of "fatback" thrown in whatever she was cooking!
Ya know what though - they cooked with real animal fat and real animal pieces and real everything.

You ate less cause you savored the flavor and you were satisfied with your food.

I do not remember my grandparents milling around the kitchen after they got done eating cause they knew they were full but still craved...something.

This artificial garbage that is in so much of our food - is taking more than it gives IMO.

MHTeacher.....looks like you are going to POR this trip. We check-in May 27 for 10 days. Will we overlap at all?
