"Personally, I think I would make a great stripper!" 8/10 The End

:thumbsup2 all the baking looks great. I know what I will be doing with DD on our last day of spring break :sad1: But that does bring us to 46 days from WDW :cool1: Made the last payment today! And DD is ready to bring our big bins and cooler out and start packing!
So excited for ya!
Waiting for the rest of this great TR. By the way...now my Jason wants to get his ears pierced...dang those "cool" boys of yours :cool2:;) He wants tatoos also but that is my brother's fault...Uncle B is also :cool2:
Treyner and Baylor both got their ears pierced at around 2nd grade I want to say - just one - and then got the other one done for Treyner in HS and Baylor this past summer.

I grew up in the 80's and the guy ear piercing rage...for me it is no big deal. I like the look actually. Treyner has a tatoo in mind - I think he will get it this summer and Baylor...I am sure will get one as well.

I have 2 - one on my right foot below the ankle on the outside. It is a moon/night flower for my grandparents - about the size of 1/2 a 50cent piece since it is just a crescent moon.

Then on my back - a celtic/crown ornated cross with the kids birthstones in it as the jewels.

Reminds me I need the foot one re-done - color on the feet fade and it is about 10 years old - maybe a tad more.

My back I had done after I was in the hospital for Mothers Day. Sick of being sick and sick of missing my kids so I wanted something for them to always be with me.

If I get one more - it will be something to represent Dan and I.

I have told the kids that if they get one to make sure they take their time, look at the artists work ahead of time and that I would like it to be meaningful to them - not a Ferrari cause you think they are cool at 20 sort of thing.

In the end though - it is their bodies and I have little input after 18 and esp. if I am not paying their way. So I figured start instilling in them my thoughts now while I still have time.

but "Bless her/his heart" is not so good. ;)

Caught on to that one!

Like in the Midwest it is equal to, "I'll pray for you."

Coming from the wrong person it can equate to: "I will pray you get strangled from the last spawn of Satan's 3 legged cat."

:rotfl2:

Insert tasteless joke here :rotfl2::rotfl2:
We are so alike - I love you....
I needed me one of them silcone mats when we were laying on the beach. ;)

A silicone mat would only be good for your bottom on the beach if you wore it like a diaper and then people would talk.

Although the benefit would be that you could oil it up with Pam and be a heck of a fun attraction to watch on a slip-n-slide!!! :3dglasses :rotfl:

I swear, keeping up with your TR's is like a full time job, (strictly volunteer work though)
I think you should open a restaurant and be the entertainment, your stand up routines would have the lines out the door, I'm serious here!!!!!

I remember the good ole days when I would drive from Texas to Michigan with my parents every summer, we would stop at interesting places to dine. Those are great memories. Waking up in the back of a van, not knowing where you are, (that sounds a little off) going into a restaurant half groggy with a flip flop mark indented in your face cause you fell alseep on it. Dad wanting to take pictures and my sister Bo and I holding up menus to stop from being in the pictures. Good times!

Jason and I spent the afternoon watching a show about tattoo artists...and then he began drawing the tattoos he would get and I would get. Now I could hardly stand to get my ears pierced so I'm not standing in line to get a tattoo. My brother has several and will end up with a full body suit before it is all over. His are just beautiful and show his faith. But Jason at 7 is a no-go on the tattoo...I just tell him that when he is out of the house he can do what he likes, but not till then ;) Two years ago he got a tribal band "lick-and-stick" at DTD. He was 5 then and the hostess at Planet Hollywood asked me if it was a real tattoo  Bless her heart;)

My DD on the other hand is quite different. She just had her "coming out" (not that kind ;)) in Cotillion. Big white gown, long gloves, the works. She is my southern belle.

I love you too but who is Pam?:confused3

You are naughty!!!

I like it! ;)

Ok - guess what???

Today I called into a radio station here and they had on a woman (Sue Storm) who is a faith based spiritual guide. She believes that people have certain angels around them at all times and you can call on specific angels for help if need be in whatever you are struggling with or need success in.

Anyway - I got through and asked about myself and writing.

I asked specifically, "If I follow a career in writing, can I be succesfull enough at it to provide for my family?"

She said she was listening to the angels and they said, "Yes." That I would need to do something in between because it will take some time.

Then she said that they told her, "You are a glorious writer and all will come to fruition."

I am not sure how people feel about faith but I usually do not listen to the show I did and the fact I got through has given me that push to just do this passion of mine.

I will let ya all know what happens and maybe it is nothing more than encouragement but it really made an impact on me today and I am for once going to believe in myself enough to be vulnerable to failure because I believe I can at least create something that you all enjoy and Disney fans are the best!

:grouphug: I hope you go for it! You have so many followers because you are a great writer. Sign me up for the first copy!!

I am a strong believer in faith, but faith or no faith, you have what it takes to be a writer, believe in yourself as much as everybody else does and it will happen for you. I will be the first in line to buy your books.

You are seriously witty and entertaining. You sound like a fabulous cook/baker. But, you should write for yourself first, we will follow yes, but it sounds like something that has to be FOR you first. Ya know?
Anyhoo, i vote for a funny cookbook? 0r How to Eat Homemade on the Road! Love all your food/stories. Carry on.....:surfweb:

Ears pierced on boys is fine. It's my girls who were the big babies about it.
I would also rather my daughters get their belly buttons pierced instead of tattoo right away, tattoo is something to think about and ponder!:upsidedow

You know what I was thinking (I know, I know, don't try to change the Mona Lisa,) but what if you mixed mini chocolate chips into the filling mix? I wonder if they'd still stick together since they're be lumpy things in there? :goodvibes

Boy am I :laughing:right now looking at my awful typing here. I must've been so tired!! It reads like some hick with a super thick southern accent ' they're be lumpy things in there!' :lmao: I read where you quoted it and I was like 'ugh, embarrassed!'

;) I understand totally! I was so happy that my user name wasn't taken when I made my profile (many moons ago) Only later did I see that I had spelled Daisy wrong  And here I am a teacher!!! Oh well...that's what I get for staying up till all hours and making my profile. No wonder I got the name so easily.

:lmao:I never even noticed your username was like that. I guess I just read what people write and not so much inspect their usernames. I'm a teacher too! I guess that's why my post bothered me so much :rotfl:

BTW - When does GA get out of school!? You must be going the DAY you get out based on your ticker :)

We only have 30 more school days. The kids are done on May 21. I have two more work days on the 24th and 25th. I'm doing our last min packing and cooking for the trip on the 26th. We will go to bed early...like 6pm that night and then get up and on the road by 4am on the 27th. That puts us getting to POR about noon!!:cool1: Can't beat an 8 hour drive!
We go early in the summer because my DD is so busy the rest of the summer. The heat isn't so bad and the crowds aren't bad yet.
Getting out of school so early is nice but we start back at the beginning of August. I'll be back before the end of July.

What grade do you teach? I teach Kindergarten :)

We get out on June 3, but might be done earlier if they decide to furlough us :( My family planned a beach trip to come down here in June, so we have to wait until July (but that works out because that's our anniversary!) It's about 7 hours for us to drive, LOVE IT!!

Oh, and I teach first grade! Gotta love the little ones :)

ETA - Sorry, Dawn, for hijacking! :)

I remember reading about Carsyn on your PTR that is why I hate group projects

When I taught high school I once had a conference near the end of the semester with a parent whose child was dangerously close to failing my class for the second time. She commented that she didn't like that one of the final assignments was a group project and that wasn't fair because the work wasn't always divided equally. I REALLY wanted to say "you're right, it's not fair that someone has to be stuck in a group with your kid!"

I'm back and just found the contest....I'm going to guess...11 (but that may already be taken so I'll change it if I need to) OK, that was taken and I have lost track of the other guesses since then so just assign me the lowest number not yet taken!

I had always wanted a tattoo, so when I turned 40 my best friend and I went to get them, she got a teddy bear and being the the Disney lover I am I got my fav character, Dopey, on my ankle. Everyone told me I would regret it but 13 years later I still think it looks good!

You're writing style is wonderful, I can definitely see you being successful doing it professionally, I know I would get in line to buy anything you wrote.

Terri

Dawn - you absolutely should go for the writing thing. The great thing about your "regular" job is that you can continue to do it until your writing hits. Just be sure you put aside time every day on a strict schedule to write. I have a couple of friends in MN who are writers - one writes sci-fi and plays. I'm not sure what the other writes but they talk about it on facebook every day. When you get going, I can put you in touch with both of them if you want so you have someone in MN to talk to about it. I fully support you on this and I'll be ready to book and manage your multi-city book tour!

It has been said that we only read the first and last letter of a word and our brains just figure out the rest of it. So as long as the first and last letter are right and the right letters are in the middle it doesn't matter what order the inner letters are in. Until you pointed it out I didn't really notice your name was misspelled. :hippie:

Dawn I'm finally here, I've tried to stop reading TR's but you should feel special as I decided to read your new one :rotfl:

It still amazes me how far you drive but at least you made it fun, I'm sorry you missed out on some Garratt's the Moms panel were given a code a while back for free shipping (I think) so if we get another one I'll let you know :thumbsup2

I think I'll jump on the bandwagon and ABSOLUTELY agree that you should write a cookbook.

Watching Julie and Julia though, it looks like a lot of hard work. I've never really agreed with those types of shows. But in this case, if it gives you the push you need, then all the more power to ya :thumbsup2

I've wanted tattoos for a while now. I've been contemplating getting a tattoo on my back, with the Chinese characters for "mom" and "dad" with angel wings around it. It's supposed to symbolize that my parents are my angels and they've always got my back :littleangel:

I've also been wanting a tattoo of a mickey shadow. More like...a typical Hidden Mickey, with three circles in that sequence, with a tiara above it. Not sure where I want it yet. It's to remind me never to forget what being a kid is like and that I'm always a princess, no matter how old
