"Personally, I think I would make a great stripper!" 8/10 The End

*sigh* Ok, put me down for 15 then. I KNOW I'm not winning any prize here.
if anyone does not win this one...there will be plenty more!!! Tons of gifts!!!
I'll take 18 if it's still available!
Yup!!
Ok, since I originally thought 0 and that was taken, I'm going to analyze this.....hmmm....

Minnesota (I don't know where in MN you live) is about 26 driving hours from Orlando, which means you couldn't possibly have had enough time to watch more than about 13 (or slightly more if they're shorter Disney movies.)

15 and 18 haven't been taken yet....I'll go with 15! :thumbsup2
Ya gotta figure we also drove back...plus around and about while gone!
GRR!!! While I was analyzing, 15 and 18 were both taken!!!! Curse my left brain!!!
That is so me - got ya for 19!
I'll do 19

Alright since 14 was taken I'll take 30 because, all those young adults cannot agree on a movie and they might have started one and decided they didn't want to watch it and picked another or say you and Dan couldn't stand to hear a movie.

Rhonda
You must have kids! I will put you down for 30!

Well I'm late again, but what else is new. Better late than never, right?

Scary about what happened at Baylor's school. I was in high school when Columbine happened - sitting in PM school (like detention, but longer). They actually let us watch tv for a little bit while it was happening, so scary, I can't even imagine it happening at my school. :scared1:

As for the movies, most of the good guesses are taken, so I will go with 28 b/c that is how old I am and the due date of baby #2. Has nothing to do with you or your family, but what do I have to lose? ;)

I have teenage boys growing out of my ears! The answer is most likely 0. They luv their xbox. Good luck to everyone. I'll play the next time around ;)

How's the recipes coming along. popcorn:: (someone has to keep you on track :rotfl2: Notice all I care about is the food)

so how did you all sleep scrunched up in the mini van. We've done this a couple times and it never works. I just wake up all cramped and more tired. How long did you get to sleep?

DOH! I wasn't even thinking about the drive home, Duh! Can I change my guess? :lmao:

Dan just got home with his laptop which is where all my secret ingredients are stored!!!

We bought the booger - which is a full size conversion van. Plenty of room between seats so knees are not smashed and the back bed - even when upright in a couch position - is like a full size couch length!

:rolleyes1 - NO!!!

Oooh, that sounds nice. My uncle owns what we like to call, The Bus.

It's a 10 seater with full reclining seats. It's basically those small shuttle busses you see that some hotels have at the airport.

We always take that on 3hrs+ trips. It's just awesome when there's only about 6 people going.

Am I too late to join in on the adventure??? I'm de-lurking myself, then again I wasn't a lurker to begin with because I've just now caught up on your trip reports and now I can finally post in this one! :3dglasses So now I'm going to mosey back to page one and play catch up! :woohoo:

I have a 5 year old daughter who thinks she is a princess and cannot wait to go to disney world because she wants to see where cinderella lives and wants to go to the the bibbidi bobbidi boutique.

As for my guess - I remember what it was like when a group of us friends got together and we would pick a movie and either some of us didn't want that movie or half way through it we decided that wasn't what we wanted. This was back in the " cough cough" 80's, when VHS came out.

All caught up! Glad Baylor is okay!! :flower3: The food you made looks amazing! Also, I want to make a guess of 33 on the movies.

Ok, I normally lurk on trip reports but I totally don't want to make you wonder or worry. Love the report so far, so much so that I DVRed America's Next Top Model tonight instead of watching it, this is truly a big deal I have not missed an episode in all 14 seasons. I'll just watch at a hour late:) You are just too entertaining. Now I have to go read your past reports.

My mother in law has a thing for Y's in names too. My husband is Bryan and his sister Alyce. (Alease when sounded out I guess...) Our daughter has a Y too, her name is Rayne. But enough of that...

I'm off in search of your old reports now. Oh uh for the movies I am going with 34...I know someone has already gotten the answer though...lol

Ok, I gotta get my guess in...
But all the good guesses are taken. :(

I will go with.... 1 1/2. :upsidedow

Bummer you missed the popcorn store and that you went all that way for a store that wouldn't have been opened anyway! :sad2:

Treyner and Taylor are BEYOND really really ridicously good lookin people. I know you're a proud momma!

Put me down for 50 movies! Go big or stay home!

:teacher:

:lmao:

Really great TR here, especially the part about Garretts Popcorn, I loveee them. We ordered some for a trip to tx once. The cashew carmelcorn is amazing. popcorn::

Also my vote is 42 for the movie count!

Keep up the TR!

I think the next smallest number left is 15 movies. However, I am thinking that between resting and playing X-Box, they probably just watched 3 movies. Excited to hear the answer. We also love Garrett's popcorn and have great memories of trying to make it there in time whenever we visited Chicago. They also have a store in NYC. I wonder if you can look up where else they are located in case they have another store along your route. I am sure that there will be many more adventurous car trips.

Recipes:

Dawn's Peanut Butter Dandies:

ingredients

* 1 cup butter melted
* 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
* 2 cups confectioners' sugar
* 1 cup peanut butter (Skippy Creamy is my choice)
* 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
* 4 tablespoons peanut butter(here you can use Skippy Crunchy or Creamy depending if you like extra nuts)

Directions

1. In a medium bowl, mix together the butter, graham cracker crumbs, confectioners' sugar, and 1 cup peanut butter until well blended. Press evenly into the bottom of an un-greased 9x13 inch pan.

2. In a metal bowl over simmering water, or in the microwave (make sure container is microwave safe - no cheap plastic folks), melt the chocolate chips with the peanut butter, stirring occasionally until smooth. (DO NOT OVER HEAT!!! In fact I take it out when a few chips are still semi-formed and do the last bit of melting with a stir of the spoon - if you overheat the chocolate - it will not turn out.) Spread over the prepared crust. Refrigerate for at least one hour before cutting into squares.

- It tastes great after freezing as well. You can cut them after refrigerated for a few hours and then place wax paper between the layers so the chocolate does not stick to the row above.

Dawn's NutterRoos Num Nums!

Ingredients

Cookie Dough:

2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
4 teaspoons baking soda
1 pound (4 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature - (honestly - do not melt - just let God let it hit room temp!)
2/3 cup creamy peanut butter, (Skippy - and no they do not pay me!)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
2 large eggs
1½ teaspoons vanilla extract -(invest in good vanilla - see if you can find a Hispanic Grocery store - they have fantastic Vanilla - you will never go back to grocery store garbage that is IMITATION!)
1/3 cup coarsely chopped peanuts
2½ cups quick-cooking oats

Filling***
(This was the original I came up with but now- I do this plus a half- depends on how much frosting you want)

¼ pound (1 stick) butter, at room temperature
½ cup creamy peanut butter, (you guessed it - Skippy)
1 2/3 cups confectioners’ sugar

Directions

1. Make the cookie dough: preheat the oven to 350°F. In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Set aside. Using a mixer with a paddle attachment, cream together the butter and peanut butter. Add sugars and beat at medium speed for 4 minutes, scraping down the bowl two times to make sure you have it all in.

2.At low speed, add eggs and vanilla. Add flour mixture and beat at low speed until well mixed, frequently scraping down bowl. Add peanuts and oats, and mix well

3.Using an ice cream scoop for huge cookies or large melon baller for smaller ones (the key is you want them the same size so they can be made into sandwiches) 2 inches in diameter or a tablespoon to ensure the cookies are the same size, place balls of dough on parchment-lined baking sheets or silicone ones at least three inches apart. *Huge key - be patient - you need these to spread out so do not mush together.

4. Bake until cookies have spread and turned very light golden brown, about 10 minutes. Remove from oven and set aside to cool and firm up, 5 to 10 minutes. *These cookies you want to let sit on cookie sheet - most others I would say to remove right away because they continue to bake on hot sheet - hence the importance of taking out when LIGHT brown!* Transfer to a rack to cool completely before filling.

5. # For the filling: cream together butter, peanut butter and confectioners' sugar using an electric mixer until very smooth.

6.To assemble spread a layer of the filling on underside of a cookie and sandwich with another cookie. You want to make sure the frosting is not too stiff or the cookies will not stick together. - Add more butter if needed by little bits till spreadable!

7.Makes 12 gigantic or 36 smaller cookies.

Hope you like these guys and will add more again tom! You better tell me how they went over after you make them!!

thank you! These are saved on my desktop for the next time I head to the grocery! They sound much more yummy then the store bought break apart cookies I baked tonite. So easy, but not nearly as good.
