"Personally, I think I would make a great stripper!" 8/10 The End

Hey there Dawn! Wow!! I have been away from the Dis for a few days and look what happened!! :sad2:
Well all caught up now.....first my guess is 29.....it was a good year :rotfl2: although seems like a long time ago. Probably because it was.
Ooooh love all of your food :goodvibes
Love Baylor's snowboarding outfit....believe it or not I still snowboard and it is a good excuse to wear ridiculous clothes ;)
Do we get to see pictures of the booger van? :rotfl2:
Beautiful picture of Treyner and Taylor....she has quite the eyelashes!!

Tracy

Hi Dawn - coming out of lurkdom! I've gotten halfway through your last trip report and am happy I was able to catch this one early on. Love the Space Mountain photo! What a great and fun family! I'm hoping you will post your potato salad and chicken salad recipes...

Can I be put down for 36 in the contest? Has that been taken? :confused3

Great start to your TR...can't wait to see how you did getting to Tennessee. If I remember correctly, the area of TN that you were going to was just a couple of hours from my hometown. I live in Nashville now, but it's always fun to me to see others' impressions of the interesting sights down here. :dance3::lmao:

Can't wait to read more!

Same show - I will double check - maybe it was Fresh Prince - it seems the older sister was in it - was the Cosby son in it as well? Now I am totally needing to figure it out!!!

Lol, I am too. I actually never watched it, maybe only once or twice. My Mom really never told me that was where my name came from, I just asked once. Also, it is kind of the wrong generation.. I am only a sophomore in college. :) And, I could never really stand the character "Whitleigh's" voice (not sure how she spells it). :D

:goodvibes Thanks so much for the recipes. I can't wait to try them. They may become additions to our trips if they are a hit. DS loves peanut butter :thumbsup2
What a hoot!! Anderson is not too far from us. I thought I had heard of it before. You were up around my DILs when you were up in Ashville and Bat Cave....ate at a Chik-fil-a in BatCave once when I was out and about with MIL. Well, we head up there on I-85 and I thought I remembered it from those drives. Hope he is loving it. Is that where he met Taylor...she is beautiful.
By the way...my son, Jason, is 7 and all about the "cool" older boys my daughter, who is 14, knows. He saw pictures of your boys as I was reading and they are on his cool meter :cool2: "See Mom..those boys are cool and dress cool. I'm like them." :cool1: So now they have a following from a 7 year old wana-be.;)

That is the back of his 4 year old head on my avatar with his daddy. :goodvibes They both get their hair cut on our first day at the MK. Everytime my DH has gotten his cut by the same guy that cut you son's. He has been there forever!!:goodvibes

I cannot wait to make these recipes! Yummy! Not only could you be a writer, a Disney planner, and apparently a stripper, but you could be a baker and a cookbook writer too! Very thorough recipe-thanks.:thumbsup2

wow........i can't wait to try those recipes out! I'm already drooling (how come there isn't a drooling smiley???)

OK Dawn -I am coming out of lurkdom. And I don't know why I lurk...I mainly do it with trip reports. Thanks for pulling me out of my shell!

First, I hope that Treynor likes Anderson College. My grandfather graduated form Anderson. When he attended, it was a two year college, I think. He was always so proud of his alma mater!!

I do love your trip reports. They are truly entertaining and you make me laugh no matter what you are reporting on. Thank you for allowing all of us to get to know your family and for sharing all the fun and craziness that ya'll experience!

I promise to try and not get sucked back into the lurking mode....:rotfl:

hi Dawn, it's ty. I do post but have found myself lurking lately. I just discovered this TR, I need to go back and read but wanted to let you know that I am reading. I think alot of people including myself do not post so much because (speaking for myself) I sometimes feel like I need to be witty to keep up with you ( that is a compliment there) I can sometimes pull wit out of my hind end, and other times it's just no there. I really enjoy your writing, I'd like to live in your head, if only for a minute, just to see how your mind works. How can you take something so ordinary and make it so danged funny?

Okay. I done gone and got caught up. I am back to staying up all night again. I'm off work again. for my knee....again!

That is super scary about Baylors school. Years ago our Jr High Principal was shot and killed by a student who then turned the gun on himself. Parents shouldn't have to worry when they send their kids off to school, but I do, every day.

The food you made for this trip! Wow! amazing, I hate to cook, peanut butter and jelly is my specialty, if the kids want something more grand I might toast the bread first.

My guess for the movies is 50. Yup, I'm going big. Although I bet the movies were put in and people fell asleep before the opening credits.

EXACTLY, sometimes I want to post but I can't think of anything funny, or at least not something other people would think is funny, so I don't post rather than diminish the hi-larity of one of Dawn's trip reports. It's just so hard to live up to the comic standards set on these threads, Dawn is just too good at what she does :snooty: :sad1:
I was thinking of doing my own trip report for my December trip but I can't compete with this stuff so I will just sit back and read! :surfweb:

Can't wait to hear more, your family sounds awesome =) we have decided to drive on our next Disney trip.

Oooh, that sounds nice. My uncle owns what we like to call, The Bus.
Yuki & Family = normal = bus
Dawn & Family = crazy = booger

It's a 10 seater with full reclining seats. It's basically those small shuttle busses you see that some hotels have at the airport.
Our friends in Ireland have access through family, to that same type of short bus but theirs do not recline!
We always take that on 3hrs+ trips. It's just awesome when there's only about 6 people going.
I need to see if I did not get more pictures of the Booger or I will have to go outside and get some!

Am I too late to join in on the adventure??? I'm de-lurking myself, No!!!! Please de-lurk!then again I wasn't a lurker to begin with because I've just now caught up on your trip reports and now I can finally post in this one! Does that mean you read the old ones and now are on this one? So now I'm going to mosey back to page one and play catch up!
Hope you did not get any saddle chap in your moseying!
As for my guess - I remember what it was like when a group of us friends got together and we would pick a movie and either some of us didn't want that movie or half way through it we decided that wasn't what we wanted. This was back in the " cough cough" 80's, when VHS came out.
I remember Beta and then VHS and renting the player and a movie from the video stores because nobody but the ubber rich could afford one right away! ;)
Ok then, how about 13.5??
How bout it? You can have it!
All caught up! Glad Baylor is okay!! The food you made looks amazing! Also, I want to make a guess of 33 on the movies.
Thanks for your bid and thanks for your concern for Baylor...update to follow.
I vote 35
Slam bam and you are outta here...if you are having de-lurking anxiety - let me know and I will get ya a paper bag to breathe in! :lmao:
Ok, I normally lurk on trip reports but I totally don't want to make you wonder or worry. My psychiatrist thanks you! Love the report so far, so much so that I DVRed America's Next Top Model tonight instead of watching it, this is truly a big deal I have not missed an episode in all 14 seasons. I'll just watch at a hour late. You are just too entertaining. Now I have to go read your past reports.
If I ever make these tales into a book - your post will be going on the back cover!!!

Maybe I will do a recipe/travel book. A chapter followed by a recipe.

"Travel Tales and Tid Bits From the Open Road"

My mother in law has a thing for Y's in names too. My husband is Bryan and his sister Alyce. (Alease when sounded out I guess...)Glad you told us how it was pronounced or I would have gone with Alice! Our daughter has a Y too, her name is Rayne. Adore that name - Princess Di's step-mom has that name. Raine, Countess of Dartmouth,...totally on my name list! But enough of that...

I'm off in search of your old reports now. Oh uh for the movies I am going with 34...I know someone has already gotten the answer though...lol
Ya just never know...some people might have had personal movie viewing devices....:rolleyes1
Ok, I gotta get my guess in...
But all the good guesses are taken.

I will go with.... 1 1/2.
Get ready to choke yourself - that has been taken! :rotfl2:
Bummer you missed the popcorn store and that you went all that way for a store that wouldn't have been opened anyway!
It was on our route so not out of the way!
Treyner and Taylor are BEYOND really really ridicously good lookin people. I know you're a proud momma!
God made him as cute as he did - I had nothing to do with that and I had less to do with Taylor's looks...let me explain to you how babies are born:

"When a mommy loves a Daddy..."

Put me down for 50 movies! Go big or stay home!
Got it!

Really great TR here, especially the part about Garretts Popcorn, I loveee them. We ordered some for a trip to tx once. The cashew carmelcorn is amazing. Have to try with cashews added now...I will never loose weight!
Also my vote is 42 for the movie count!
Ok - have that for you but why is there 3 r's in your name?
Do you have a typing stutter?
I have a thinking stutter! ;)
Keep up the TR!

I think the next smallest number left is 15 movies. Think again! It is gone already! However, I am thinking that between resting and playing X-Box, they probably just watched 3 movies. Excited to hear the answer. We also love Garrett's popcorn and have great memories of trying to make it there in time whenever we visited Chicago. They also have a store in NYC. I wonder if you can look up where else they are located in case they have another store along your route. I am sure that there will be many more adventurous car trips.
We called them and all their locations were in Chicago or at the airports in Chicago they said! They do not sell in gas stations or grocery stores!!
thank you! These are saved on my desktop for the next time I head to the grocery! They sound much more yummy then the store bought break apart cookies I baked tonite. Yucko! So easy, but not nearly as good.
Amen!
first my guess is 29.....it was a good year although seems like a long time ago. Probably because it was. I turn 39 this year, not 40 like I previously thought, so I am holding onto the fact that anything under 10 years is not so long ago! :worship:

Love Baylor's snowboarding outfit....believe it or not I still snowboard and it is a good excuse to wear ridiculous clothes! I want to loose weight and snowboard this year if it kills me which it might! He wants a sombrero to go with his pants - and take it down the slopes!
Do we get to see pictures of the booger van? I need to find them!
Beautiful picture of Treyner and Taylor....she has quite the eyelashes!!
She does...but would 2 beautiful people create an ugly baby? :confused3...sometimes the good genes crosses each other out! :teacher: Not that I want a baby soon from them but I am thinking future possibilities.
Tracy

Hi Dawn - coming out of lurkdom!Tell me about your screen name - Treyner goes by Trey at times!!! ! I'm hoping you will post your potato salad and chicken salad recipes...
Yup! Today!
Can I be put down for 36 in the contest? Has that been taken?
Yes - and I need to know about your screen name as well...is Riah your first name?

Lol, I am too. I will look up the info today! And, I could never really stand the character "Whitleigh's" voice (not sure how she spells it). :D

High and whiny!!!!
:goodvibes Thanks so much for the recipes. I can't wait to try them. They may become additions to our trips if they are a hit. DS loves peanut butter Hope they go over well!
Hope he is loving it. Is that where he met Taylor...she is beautiful. No - they met actually a few years ago in HS then reunited this past Christmas when both were back home!
By the way...my son, Jason, is 7 and all about the "cool" older boys my daughter, who is 14, knows. He saw pictures of your boys as I was reading and they are on his cool meter. "See Mom..those boys are cool and dress cool. I'm like them." So now they have a following from a 7 year old wana-be.
I will be sure to tell them!!! That is so sweet!
Everytime my DH has gotten his cut by the same guy that cut you son's. He has been there forever!!
Great guy!!!
I cannot wait to make these recipes! Yummy! Not only could you be a writer, a Disney planner, and apparently a stripper, ummmm...I will say I did not say that and I would only make a good stripper at the old folks home where the disgruntled clientele would not have enough strength in their arm to whip their shoes at me!but you could be a baker and a cookbook writer too! Very thorough recipe-thanks.
I am thorough with food. Thank you for your astute observation. Must have graduated top of your class. You have seen pictures right! :rotfl2:
wow........i can't wait to try those recipes out! I'm already drooling (how come there isn't a drooling smiley???)
The Dis is full of slackers perhaps? :confused3 :rotfl:
OK Dawn -I am coming out of lurkdom. And I don't know why I lurk...I mainly do it with trip reports. Thanks for pulling me out of my shell!
Your welcome and please send your check to...Dizneydawn c/o...me!:lmao:
First, I hope that Treynor likes Anderson College. My grandfather graduated form Anderson. I will tell Treyner! When he attended, it was a two year college, I think. He was always so proud of his alma mater!! Treyner adores it!

Remove the vacuum!

Yet another lurker coming out of lurkdom....I am looking forward to reading the rest of the report.
Well maybe you should view your screen name! Mary would not have been a lurker...she would have been up in everyone's business! :rotfl:

That makes me sad...please do not think you are not one of the very funniest people I know. And....I just love reading everyone's responses...funny, sincere or even the ones that tell me I am insane! Please never not post!!! I am not funny all the time. Swear!
That is super scary about Baylor's school. Years ago our Jr High Principal was shot and killed by a student who then turned the gun on himself. Parents shouldn't have to worry when they send their kids off to school, but I do, every day.
I get it! Sorry that happened to you guys.

Hello Miss Witty!
My guess for the movies is 50. Yup, I'm going big. Although I bet the movies were put in and people fell asleep before the opening credits.
50 is taken - update coming!!!

Leash - I am going to drive to Vegas, get distracted by casino lights, pass out from exhaustion and then broke not be able to afford a taxi, rob an old lady near a vending cart....... and then...crawl to your home and choke you!

Write girl, write!!!!

Can't wait to hear more, your family sounds awesome =) we have decided to drive on our next Disney trip.
Trade ya distances!!!!:worship: Welcome!!

Those recipes sound wonderful! Can't wait to give them a try. Maybe this weekend while DH is watching the Masters.

Can I go with 10.5? I think that many might have been played but not necessarily watched. I am so excited about this TR!!!
