Personalized Ear Hats before trip?

Where can I get mickey and minnie ear hats that are personalized before the trip? If love to have them for my kids for pics right away. It seems Disney store online doesn't personalize them...

My $0.02, purchase the hats of your choice from the Disney Store (online), and bring them to a local embroidery shop in your hometown!

We have done the same. We're flying from the UK so want to spend as little time in line as possible, this includes waiting for hats to be stitched.

Can you bring a pair from home and have them personalized at wdw? If can it be done in DTD?

From my experience one store will personalize a par of ears if bought in WDW and you have the receipt. We were at Disney once and I saw a style of ears I loved for DS however it was in a store that didn't personalize. We bought ears then brought them to a store in park that personalized and show them receipt and they did it. Not sure if they will personalize ears you bought at home or from Disney Store.

You can also try calling Disney merchandising...if it's in the park they can ship it to you and they can personalize it. When DS was born we didn't go to Disney, but I wanted a personalized First Christmas Disney ornament for him and a Disney stocking to match the one DH and I had gotten from Disney. I called Disney merchandising and I was able to order the ornament and stocking and have both personalized. The only thing with ordering from Disney merchandising is the shipping costs can be a bit high.

I got mine from the Disney Store personalized for the kids. That was how we told them about the trip. I was trying to post a picture of them but I can't figure out how.

On DDs first trip, I bought a package from Disney Florist and it was waiting in our room when we arrived. It had personalized Mickey ears, an autograph book and pen, and some snacks. I think it was about $35 or so--totally worth it to have the ears ready and waiting for DD.

I was just wondering the same thing, we leave on valentines day so I was hoping to have the hats with our names for valentines gifts. In the parks so they still embroider names with the yellow thread and script font I remember as I kid?
Do I need to call disney store to order them?

Glad this got bumped up. I couldn't find it the other day. You can't get them personalized from the disney store online. Or maybe you can if you call. IDK. Your WDW Store has them and will personalize but $15 for just the monogram is a bit steep and it doesn't appear to be in the traditional gold like they use at the parks. (Just FYI for anyone else looking to prepurchase these...)

I'm 99% sure I'm just going to order DD's blank and have my friend with a machine embroider it for me. I really don't want to waste time trying to find somewhere to do it once we arrive.

For very little extra you can have Disney Floral do it and have it in the room for you when you arrive. The packages start at about 35 and go all the way up to 350 plus.

You also don't really have to stand in line when you get them embroidered. My friend bought his ear hat on our last day of our trip. He walked to the hat shop in DHS picked out a pair filled out the form and they said it would take 10 minutes or he could come back at any time. We simply came back on our way out the park and picked them up no problem.

That seems to be up for debate. I was given a surprise package for me and it was already set up in the room when we check in at 3pm. There was no way anyone in my party could have prechecked in either because we were staying on a CM discount and since I was the CM I was the only person who could do the checking in. It appears their rules have become a little more lax than they use to be.

Got an email back from Disney this morning. They said you have to by them their if you want the to personalize them.
