I have a question I hope someone can answer:goodvibes I called yesterday and spoke with a CM about buying a brick and she told me she would e-mail me the form to fill out. I still haven't received the information. How long does it usually take to get the e-mail?:confused3

Laugh O. Grams--I know! It is so cool they are going to be in the Magic Kingdom area!:goodvibes I can't wait to see a picture and actually get to see it in person next May! I bet they are swamped with applications. I do wonder how many of us Disers will have bricks close together?:rotfl:

Ok you guys, stop faxing so MY fax can get through!! ;) They must be loaded up with forms down there!

Check you PM.

Did anyone else notice that once your brick is placed, if someone destroys it even one second later, you have no recourse?

I'd read that the previous program had a requirement that Disney replace the bricks if they're damaged within 10 years.

Now, it looks like you get to pay $300 for the brick, then $100 anytime you want it to be replaced...if the program still exists.

So all you're really buying is a promise that if Disney charges you the $300, they'll put down a brick somewhere - which may not be in an area accessible to you. After the brick is in place, they can pick it right back up and sell that spot to someone else, and you have no recourse whatsoever.

I'm not sure it's worth $300 to buy the right to have a brick put down for 1 second.

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

I never got a call or email back from the WDW office. I got the forms from another Dis too.

It would be fun if many of the Dis bricks were together.

What is everyone else saying on their bricks? I am stuck! Our names are short (all only 5 letters) but I want it to be special!

Yep, I saw that too. My friend (another DISer who is getting a brick too) and I were talking about it yesterday. The way I take it they could put the brick in for one day (one minute, whatever) then remove it for any reason, and there is nothing we can do about it. It's a risk, so I can totally understand one not wanting to pay $300 without knowing what will happen. But, I think for some of us it's just worth the risk! :)

We went round and round about what to put on it, but ultimately just putting our first names won out. We could have squeezed all 6 of us into 2 lines (we all have 3 or 4 letter names) and put something else on the 3rd line, but we wanted my dh and I to be on a line alone, so that bumped the kids into the 3rd line. I thought about putting "We love WDW!" but from reading the terms I don't think that would have been allowed anyway.

I've heard of alot of people putting their hometown on the brick. Maybe a last name? You're lucky though, my first name is 8 letters and my last name is 12. I only had enough room for me and DBF's names and nothing else! (lucally his is shorter than mine!)

yippee! Mine and my friends' faxes just went through. :) Now I'll watch for the charge... (lol I am way too excited about this!! My non-Disney friends would think I am CRAZY!)

Hello everyone. Was wondering if someone, anyone, would mind emailing me the info on the brick. I think it would be a great surprise for my wife if i could get one and have it in place before our next disney trip!
Thanks in advance for any and all help.

That's really nice. BTW...CONGRATULATIONS. Wishing you both a wonderful wedding at Disney and a fabulous life together. You know we want to see pictures of the wedding don't you?

We would probably leave our last names out because I never changed my last name when I was married.
