I am sure it has been asked a lot, but how does the DDP work (or not work) at the Pepper Market at CSR? Is it similar to the food court at POP? Do they have snacks, and what items there are included as CS undder the plan?
Thanks

Hi!

The DDP does work at the Pepper Market.

There are signs for what constitues a snack or dessert credit.

You get an entree, drink and dessert for a counter service credit. You can get any entree that they serve which can really come out to be a great deal considering the food at the Oriental Station is usually ~ 15.00. As you know there are ~ 6 different stations ranging from Italian, Oriental, Grill, Mexican, Deli, etc and some of those entrees can be pretty pricy, which is great when it is free on the Dining plan! For a party of 2 I have noticed that for lunch the "bill" is usually at least 30.00 if we were paying OOP.

We usually used a lot of our Counter Service Credits at the Pepper Market as you get so much food (and much more choices than just burgers) and good counter service food!!

The DDP worked just great at the Pepper Market last week. Meals there are a CS credit. The only real restriction is that you can only get certain desserts (the pastries and cookies). Otherwise, there are tons of great options. Note that there is normally a 10% tip added to meals there; however, it is not for the DDP. This does not mean that the servers' tips are paid, though. You should bring cash to leave at the table as it can't be charged.

We used the DDP on Friday night at the Pepper Market. Beware - any bakery item that counts as Bakery III wasn't allowed as one of the snacks on the dining plan. We were with a very large group, and many of them had a slice of fancy chocolate cake, and I had to pay for all of that at the end.

There was a spreadsheet posted awhile back that reported the best "value" under DPP.

PepperMarket was the most expensive CS by average prices....so if you're on DDP, you SHOULD go to get the most bang for your buck!!
