People waiting in line say the darndest things!

We were on the monorail to the TTC, when we overheard a boy of about 9 or 10 say to his mother, "I do too know where we're parked! We're at the ticket and constipation center!"

I couldn't even pretend not to hear, I was laughing so hard. :rotfl:

OMG! I choked on my ice tea! Too funny! :rotfl2:

Standing in line at Lion King..

Man in front loudly singing along

Ahhhhhhhh Pennsylvania ..
because we all know there is a Pennsylvania Africa :lmao:

We had breakfast at 1900 Park Fare earlier this month and as Mary Poppins arrived at our table DD5 jumped up and pointed, "HEY! You're the lady from that movie!!!" She had just seen the beginning of the movie the previous week. ;) Ms. Poppins was most gracious.

This thread has been fabulous -- thank you!!!

Ok...I'll admit...this took me awhile to figure out what was funny...once I got it I was DYING! I'll be singing that here at work for the next hour!:rotfl:

about 10 years ago we were in wdw with my sister and her 4 year old grandaughter, patience. we had connecting rooms and she was free to pop back and forth at will. one morning she popped in while dh and i were having a smoke. as we seldom smoked it was something she was not used to. i didn't think anything about it till we were in a long line at the mk and patience looked at her grandmother and loudly anounced that 'she saw uncle bob and auntie pokin in there room this morning'. yup, her four year old self couldn't say smoking so she said pokin....i pretended i didn't know her. :rotfl:
people were staring and i did have to explain to my sister so she wouldn't report us to children services....:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

The best I heard was from an older tour group of 70-80 year olds.

Group Leader to the rest of the group: (Looks at Small World) "That must be that haunted house, let's not go in there".

Haha, if they only knew.

We live in Nebraska...NE for short. I can't tell you how many times I get told that stands for New England. sigh

A few years ago we got fastpasses for the Land. The fastpass machine was cranking out tickets for five minutes later. The stand-by line? over an hour. So as we are walking down the FP line some guy says very angry..."Look at those park snobs! They're cutting in line!"

I really wanted to correct him, but the DH took my arm and asked me to not have a battle of wits with the unarmed. He didn't have the energy for it. :rotfl:

I LOVE Nebraska! I lived there for 4 years while my 1st husband was at Offutt AFB. It's beautiful and I miss it! :)

I'm betting the Group Leader DID know - and had no desire to ride IASW!:lmao:

Sad, but geography isn't given much time in schools these days. The end of grade tests don't ask that, so it isn't taught to the kids. I bet most kids could not even identify the seven continents.:guilty:

Actually, I am 39 and I don't recall spending much time on it either. I teach PreK/K and am sad to say that I don't know EXACTLY where some states are, especially the ones in the middle, LOL. I know the areas, but if you gave me a blank map and asked me to fill in the names, I would probably get 1/2 right.

I just have to say this because my lovely state of Louisiana has a bad reputation as far as education is concerned......

My daughter learned all the states in alphabetical order in 1st grade. She could fill in a blank map with their locations also. No biggie....everyone in the class did it.:woohoo:

In line for TOT, a very elderly couple were standing just in front of me. They were speaking Japanese to each other very quietly, and I could tell they had no idea about the ride. When we got to the boiler room, and just before you enter the elevator, they were very confused about the directions the CM was giving them about where to place their feet on the arrows. A lot of hushed whispering, then the CM literally placed their feet where he wanted them. Then they both said "Aaaah!" and they nodded. So all through the ride, the Twilight Zone part, I kind of kept my eye on them, nodding to them and smiling. Then just as the ride showed them how high up they were and we began to freefall, I distinctly heard this meek foreign man beside me yell out (clear as a bell), "Son of a B----" :scared1: I laughed so hard, I couldn't even tell you how many times we dropped!!!

I haven't finished reading this thread yet, but I can't stop laughing at this one!

I usually don't mind living here! :cloud9: We don't live too far from there. LOL The DH works in West O. I'm not sure you would really want to be here right now though...We have hit record number of days with more than 1" of snow on the ground (read that 1 foot) LOL and it is finally above freezing today, hasn't been like that in more than a month. :woohoo:

I'm not sure if this qualifies or not...but one night after a week of "DD don't get on that railing. DD get off the railing. DD stop climbing." She fell off and hit her head. We took her to first aid and got her fixed up. The next day with a beautiful bruise on her forehead, we were standing in line for a ride and a little boy was climbing on the railing. His mom was doing the same thing we had been. "Get off the railing. Stop climbing." Well, the DD walked over to him, pushed up her bangs and told him "I wouldn't. This will happen."

Needless to say, he got down and the mom thanked her for the show and tell. ;)

This came from my daughter at lunch. We were at Animal Kingdom and I said lets go to Yak and Yeti for lunch. For some reason she said no and was very adamant about it. But I wanted to go there so that is where we went. She reluctantly ordered her lunch and we sat down to eat. She was very pouty and would not eat. She began looking around and all of a sudden her face lit up after reading a sign and said "OH this is Yak and Yeti, not Yakin Yeti (such as in vomitting Yeti)" God only knows what she was thinking was in her noodles.

And I'm sure after that she always listened and did what Mom & Dad told her!?:rolleyes1

Even I know where Boston is, and I'm British.

Care for a spot of tea? :lmao:

Sorry, had to do it.

By the way, what language is spoken in Wales? (just kidding - I read your post!)

This wasn't in line, but on ME on arrival day. There was a couple sitting behind me with some brochure/map. They were talking about what attractions they wanted to see.

The woman: Oh, There's Fantasmic (couldn't pronounce). I definitely want to do that!

The man: Yeah, me too. That's that boat ride.:rotfl:

Now, they are READING/LOOKING at the descriptions of the parks. :confused3

Hope they had fun on the boat!
