Water park during thanksgiving

We plan on going to MK from 11/26-11/29. We want to take advantage of the free water park on check in day. Customer service will not tell me if the water parks will be open during this time. Does anyone know if the water parks are typically open during this timeframe? From the rumors I have read, typhoon lagoon is open and blizzard beach is closed.

One of the water parks typically goes down for refurbishment in the fall, and the other goes down when the first refurbishment is finished. They try to have all the water park refurbishments done before spring break season starts. Right now, the Disney website says they will both be open until September 7th. If you look at park hours for later in September, Blizzard Beach shows no hours, but Typhoon Lagoon does. So it appears Blizzard is going down for refurbishment first. The maintenance schedule got a little out of whack during the pandemic but should be back to normal now. Unfortunately the park hours only go through September 26 right now, so we can’t see the hours for when you are traveling to know which park will be open when you visit. You will just need to check every so often until the hours for that week are posted.

Yes 1 WP will be open. Right new we know that BB will be closing after Sept. 7th leaving TL open.

Nothing has been announced for the November time-frame when TL normally goes down for it's annual shutdown that runs until Spring.

Well it is not back to the pre-Covid days since they chose to open both parks for the 2025 Summer Season which has not been a thing since 2018.

They kept TL closed beyond it's normal Spring Break opening. TL opened on May 1st while BB closed for a short maintenance widow, and then BB reopened on May 21st so they could run both parks from May 21st to Sept. 7th when BB goes dark.

Awesome. Thanks. We really don’t care which one is open (prefer TL since it’s more family friendly). Is the water heated during this time?

Is the water heated during this time?

Yes but it is not the temperature of the water but what happens when you make the walk in wet swimsuits between the various rides when the air temps are lower.

FYI most likely you will be able to enjoy a waterpark unless there is a rare cold front. The following video is from Dec
