PeepsII-The Hot, Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Feb 2010. 12/2-Part 2 has begun.

All caught up! Jordan, I need 1/4 of your organizational magic! I'm with you all on the Rankin-Bass Christmas specials, I made Piper watch Rudolph with me while she sorted Halloween candy..tried to get her to watch Santa Claus is Coming to Town afterwards, but she wasn't falling for it.

My organizational skills come from a long line of perfectionists in my family. Great now, but not fun growing up. Nothing was ever good enough (yes, I've already shared that with my counselor)

ok.....if you insist....

That's exactly what I saw this morning in the mirror...:scared1:

That is disturbing on several levels :lmao:

It is. It soo is.

Last night I was almost 40 behind. I caught up and read it all !!! :scared1:

Of course nothing else got done at home but there is always tomorrow.

I check in again 10 hours later and am 3 pages behind again. Luckily I can multi-task.:lmao:

I got nothing done today except filling my belly.

Ohh..I haven't seen Twas the Night Before Christmas..time to cruise the web. I don't remember Mad Monster Party either..but while we're on this road...who remembers "The Great Space Coaster"??

that is my favorite!!

I remember getting so excited when the christmas specials were on....back before dvd's or videos....

I only know Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman. None of those other ones sound vaguely familiar......

pretend like the trip to disney doesn't exist. would you take the job? if yes, then take the job and try to either reschedule the trip or work it out where you can still go. if no, then don't worry about the job and go enjoy your trip!

i'm sure everyone else has said the same thing. do what's right for YOU! :goodvibes just remember that disney world isn't going anywhere and will be there, ready and waiting, when you get the "real world" stuff sorted out.

I know. We jinx each other all the time....

I'm planning on the gym..really...even buying new workout clothes....

I'm leaning towards Boma again as it's close, but I've heard great things about Kona Cafe......but it would be a hassle to get to...

There are many other factors going into this that I'm not really at liberty to talk about. It's VERY complicated. There might be more candidiates, but the interview process takes a few months. The holidays aren't usually great times to be looking for people.

I'm all too familiar with how filling ministry positions goes. Long waits, dog and pony show preaching, elder/ board interviews, blah, blah, blah... It could be a long while...

That's funny! I thought of KONA very first thing too, but you're in the sticks in relation to the Poly. YOu could cab it, but that's an extra $10 right there. That's why I went with Boma.

Do you know how much I love you Dawn!!!!!!!!

thanks for the advice.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 I'm still trying to figure out if it's something I can do....it's a HUGE responsibility and a decision I can't take lightly.

Wow!
You've got a tough decision to make.
As excited as you are to meet me don't let it sway your decision.

Seriously, if you feel that it's the right path for you then take the job and leave WDW earlier or just let them know you're going to be gone.

We've been on the job roller coaster here for almost a year....it's always a little scary. I'm really good about praying.....it's the waiting for the answer I'm not so good at.

Is it totally selfish of me that my first thought about your dilema was about me not getting to "meet" you?;)

That's pretty much how it's been......

Is it totally crazy that my WDW is actually influencing my decision?;):rolleyes1 It really isn't, but it's going to come into play tomorrow for sure.

I can't see them not letting me go to WDW....we'll see though

In all seriousness, I"m so glad you see it this way. I can give a fair amount of credit to my youth leader for the work I've been called to here. Seeds were planted and watered during those tender years- a lot of finding out "who you are" goes on in H.School!

As far as relating to 7th graders, I don't think that would be a problem for you. And I say that totaly seriously! (I think I just made every english major cringe with that sentence)

You would be awesome with those kids and they would be lucky to have you. I've worked alot with the kids at my church and it can be pretty rough at times, but they help to keep me from taking myself too seriously.

I've found that teens need a good combination of spiritual and fun.

I believe you fit the bill!

we'll be at Kona on the 6th....then heading to MK for our meet........

Liesa, if I take this position it's like finally saying goodbye to the life I led for the last 20 years that I didn't go to church. While I don't miss that life, it is hard to let go. Does that make any sense?

I have had so many people that have gotten to me to where I am today.

Aww thanks Cherie....I think..;)

Yes, completely! I won't make you divulge all your "stuff", and I'm not going to do the same here either, but suffice it to say, been there, done that.

Letting go, starting over, making change, it a package deal, and sometimes takes a forced move like this to do it. A catalyst to a finality in a season of life- tough, get good. A crucible so to speak...

Just to let you know I'm crying a bit right now. You hit it just right....I'm so thankful to be where I am right now. I would be dead if I had continued down the path I was going down just 4 1/2 years ago.

I'm thinking another BOMA breakfast as well, but KONA is still calling me...

It's a hard decision...Thanks for your advice!!!!

Rosie can I add you on the Countdown Forum/Feb 2010? What are your dates?

Then we can be thankful together! For each other. 20 years ago, I was smoking pot driving from Flagstaff to Phoenix- clearly something HAD to change!!!!

Good people came into my life, I found Direction, met my husband who challenged me in a lot of areas, was patient, kind and forgiving, who gave unconditional love...

Doesn't mean, AT ALL, that I don't slip up, but the slip ups are of a different nature now, but the cut was complete, and very freeing. Interesting how Abba can use such a creative variety of ways to get us to where we need to be to be useful once again.
