Last time I called for adr's I told the cm that I needed to make some adr's. The guy had no idea what I was talking about! I had to explain it to him.

Jordan, you may not be as close to the Boardwalk, but you'll be right on the monorail. Just hop on over to the TTC and then to Epcot. From there it's just a little stroll...

Presidents' Week is a bit of a snaggle, but you can't argue with a couple of extra days of peaceful relaxation in the World!!

So, no luck getting a third guy to even things out at Pop?? I'm sending pixiedust! Hang in there, Jordan. It's almost August!

So it looks like my aunt and uncle (Wendy's parents) are now going at least at this point. My uncle is recovering from major surgery so I think they'll decide a bit closer to the trip...

Having older folks changes the dynamic a bit. So that will be a factor in planning. Although my aunt and uncle have no problem doing their own thing.

Ok, so maybe yet another change of plans (sounding familiar? Like echoes of 2008?)... so my folks may NOT be going after all - they have this airline credit they need to use and they're not able to apply it towards FL so they may go to Hawaii instead while we're gone. So maybe the old folks factor won't be one... and Jordan, now either you guys or Kim/Allan can probably stay with us at BLT for the week.

This would only be if Jordan stays with us... otherwise he'll have to bus it or taxi it from Pop to the Boardwalk... (well maybe Pop to DD to Boardwalk or some other interim park since buses don't go resort to resort).

For my trip in 2008, Wendy and Derek paid for the first 2 nights of my alone time at Pop as my birthday/Christmas present. I just kinda threw it out there and I think they are up for doing it again this year. So it looks like my WDW vacation just got extended by at least 2 days.

I think it would be awesome to stay at any resort during its first year, especially one like BLT. Have fun with the rest of your planning. I hope your uncle's recovery goes very well!

Heidi, I seriously thought about this. Fewer crowds, better prices....but at the end of the day, I like having that alone time at the end of the trip to kind of unwind....but I do have some news to share.....

chapter 14. You WHAT?

Here's how I'm feeling right now:

Let me tell you why....

Now you know Wendy and I are as close as two cousins can be without being brother/sister. She has always been generous in showing her love to me over the years as she knows I don't make half the money I did when I was working in the outside world.

In the past they have bought me my digital camera, a few different cellphones, a few extra nights at WDW, a DL annual pass....both Wendy and Derek are generous and loving and I feel fortunate to not only call them family, but also 2 of my closest friends....we've traveled together many times and we know each other's faults REALLY well...but have learned to accept one another unconditionally...

Anyway......so Wendy and I were emailing back and forth about those 4 extra days today and then she starts asking me where I'd like to stay....she asks if I had my choice would I choose CBR, POR or CSR...then she asks if I'd choose BCV or BWV....

So then she emails me back saying that she booked me a room (well I'm on the waitlist) for BWV standard view for the 14th-18th of February on their leftover points for 2010!!!!! Can you believe it? I certainly am on right now and a bit misty eyed that my cousins would do such a nice thing!!!!

It was only a dream to stay at one of the Epcot resorts those last 4 nights as there was NO way that I would be able to afford the 350-450/night or higher prices. And now my dreams have come true. Of course, there's a possibility that the waitlist might not come through, but AKL and OKW are available and I would be more than happy to stay at either of those as well, although BWV or BCV would be my first choice (ESPN and more drunk stories, need I say more?)

Anyhow I just thought I'd let you in on the GREAT news and let you know what great cousins I have....

I'm on a quick lunch break....yesterday I was at church from 8:45am-10:30pm.....today probably close to the same thing...I wish I could be catching up on other PTRs and TRs. I just don't have the time right now. I promise I will catch up soon. I miss reading everyone's reports......

It doesn't sound like my aunt and uncle are coming after all..Hawaii is calling their name. So Kim and I will be doing a UFC cage fight to determine who gets to stay at BLT with Wendy and Derek
