PeepsII-The Hot, Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Feb 2010. 12/2-Part 2 has begun.

Awesome pictures of The Wall!! My boys have informed me that they want to see The Great Wall of China. I'm so glad they're travelers like their Mama. :goodvibes

Can't wait to see what the surprise/game is!

I feel like a need to watch the History Channel now since I just realized that I don't know much about the Great Wall.

That's awesome that you got to do that....not many people get that chance.

Those pictures are absolutely amazing.

I couldn't have made it up those stairs! What a view!

My first thought about The Great Wall:
'I wish Jordan had brought a slinky to let walk down the stairs."

Just like the Ace Ventura movie, which I can't stand but DH thinks it is funny.

Can't wait to see what you have cooked up for us to keep us entertained next week!

Those Great Wall pictures are awesome! What a wonderful memory being able to visit it! I would most definitely have been crawling up those last few step!!! I can barely make it up the Teppan Edo stairs after a day at WS! :rotfl:

Jordan, here's my prediction (unfortunately). By the way, what's the meaning of the shirt you're wearing in the picture? A kid was wearing one in church today, minus the "NYC".

Me Jordan. Me climb big hill.
China2009475.jpg

I absolutely LOVE that the kids were able to experience this with you. ;) I laugh my butt off with your proud-Jordan picture and can completely see you with a slinky going back down. :lmao:

Awesome pictures of the wall, that hill is insane!

It was I walked up about every 10=15 stairs and had to stop and catch my breath.

Can't wait to see what the surprise/game is!

The big cities like Beijing and Shanghai and Hong Kong are not bad at all!

I get excited just thinking about the game.:thumbsup2

I feel like a need to watch the History Channel now since I just realized that I don't know much about the Great Wall.

That's awesome that you got to do that....not many people get that chance.

The basic facts: The Wall is about 3000 miles long and it was meant to keep intruders out, mainly to Mongolians.

how amazing!!!!!:goodvibes

It was. You could see the Wall go on as far as the eye could see.

Those pictures are absolutely amazing.

I couldn't have made it up those stairs! What a view!

We actually didn't make it all the way to the top of the hill because that portion is closed. Much of the portion we walked has been restored. Alot of the Wall is not safe for people to walk on or around.

I wish I had thought of that! Okay next person who goes to China...take a slinky!

Very nice comparison and very similar type stairs except the Wall has stuff to hold onto. If you're in the middle of those stairs at Teppan Edo......

I'm trying to figure out and easy way for the game to be done right now.....

Jordan, here's my prediction (unfortunately). By the way, what's the meaning of the shirt you're wearing in the picture? A kid was wearing one in church today, minus the "NYC".

Yeah, I'm hoping to find out at church in an hour..we'll see.

The symbol on the t-shirt is the logo for the Element brand of clothing.

I absolutely LOVE that the kids were able to experience this with you. ;) I laugh my butt off with your proud-Jordan picture and can completely see you with a slinky going back down. :lmao:

Wendy made the Flat Erin,Dylan and Ashlyn for me!

I may be visiting my friends again next May so I'll be sure to bring a slinky!

Hey Jordy, you may have missed my response on the bottom of page 62. Just didn't want you to think I neglected your last post.;) Anyway, how lucky are you to have gotten to experience standing on the Great Wall! Thanks for the pictures, really amazing stuff. I can't believe how steep those stairs are.:scared1:

I hope you hear back from the guys soon so you can get your planning on.

I really enjoy your pictures from China. Well, except for the stick food pictures. The scorpions I could handle, but SEAHORSES! They're my absolute favorite marine animal. Shedd aquarium in Chicago has an amazing display of seahorses/sea dragons that I could watch for hours. They do NOT belong on a skewer!

I'm glad you chose not to lie down in Tianammen Square. The Chinese military are not peeps you want to mess with.

Oops! Sorry!

I'm late for church where I hope to hear from the guys...who decided not to email me back...No worries. They're guys and they're young...

I was surprised to see Seahorses......I LOVE Shedd Aquarium! I LOVE Chicago. My favorite big city.

It was an amazing experience and feeling. If there had been a lot of people there, I may have felt different, but it was sooo quiet and peaceful. You were really able to take in the moment.

Crap, Jordan, that is totally awesome!!!! thanks for the virtual Chinese tour and lessons-my kids have enjoyed it too!

Now we have to go look up the Great Wall of China!! I love homeschooling! You ADDED to my kids schooling-THANK YOU!!!

It was completely awesome! I wish I had read up more before I got there. I probably would've appreciated it that much more. It is amazing.

Happy to help out!

Once we got to the top, I immediately am overcome with this feeling--hard to describe. I imagine it's what people feel when they see the Pyramids in Egypt or the Grand Canyon for the first time. It was simply awesome. I never thought in a million years I'd ever be standing where I was standing, yet there I was

How absolutely breathtaking!!

I completely understand your feeling of awe...

Wow-Jordan-WOW-those are some awesome pictures...

I have heard before that the Great Wall has a profound impact on even the most jaded travelers-I believe it is one of the 8 Wonders of the Modern World-Nat.l Geographic compiled a new list a couple of years back-...

I didn't picture such a steep climb though...wow-you need to train to get up there...

(I know I shouldn't have but I get picturing Shan Yu from Mulan-when that Guard lights the warning signal "Now all of China knows you are here..." and Shan Yu (in the really sinister voice says "Perfect."...)

Now those Great Pictures-Those you would see in the ABD travel brochures...:lmao:

Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong are exactly where I'd want to go...
(Now that you've been there you should consider doing the Jordan Tour of China-I'm sure you could undercut the $6k that ABD asks for? :confused3

_-love that you had Wendy's kids with you...:lmao:

Thank you so much for sharing your China trip with us, the pictures were amazing. I can't imagine how beautiful that was in person. I loved your "me Jordan" picture.

I have informed Bill that we are going to Disney when you are there for your birthday. It would be so great to meet you!

Call me a true addict, I read it all! I can't wait for more, you guys will have a great time! What a beautiful family you have! I had just as much fun looking at all of the pictures as reading the comments!! !:dance3:

Whoa... you ARE an addict! Congratulations!! :worship: :worship: :worship:

we were there for about 3 hours. Oh and I got cell reception and called a few friends. I think I called Wendy...

Yes, you did. It was surreal. You're all, "Hi, I'm standing on the Great Wall." Technology never ceases to amaze me. It's like you were in the next room. Astounding. Next thing it'll be, "Hi, I'm on the moon. Be right back - gotta cross a crater..."

My first thought about The Great Wall:
'I wish Jordan had brought a slinky to let walk down the stairs."

THAT is the BEST!!!! Definitely Jordo.... next time that'd be priceless!!! :thumbsup2
