Payments in WDW--a couple questions

We are going to WDW next week and I am trying to decide how many $50 Disney gift cards to get ahead of time from Target. We're staying off-site and already have the tickets from UT, so I don't anticipate spending a lot in the parks--will be in parks for 3 or 4 days. I got 2 cards already, and plan to pay for parking and a few souvenirs with them. Don't expect to buy many souvenirs since I think my DDs are planning to buy out the wand store at Harry Potter world instead.

Does the pick a pearl place in Japan take the Disney gift cards? I've bought stuff in Japan before but never knew about the pearls until recently, so don't know if it's the same checkout or a separate business, etc.

The other question--when you buy food in WDW, does it show up on credit card bills as a restaurant? My Chase card separates businesses by category like that. This month I am getting 5% back on restaurants and gas stations. If the food in WDW will ring up as restaurants, I might as well use that card since it would be the same discount as a gift card from Target (I don't have the pharmacy card, just the red card). Plus I wouldn't have the risk of having leftover gift card money. Is there a difference between the table service, quick service, carts, etc? Do any or all ring up as restaurants?

Thanks for any answers you may have!:thumbsup2

I can't answer your questions, but I wanted to say thank you -- I didn't realize I could pay for parking with Disney gift cards! :drive:

I used my debit card at resturant and it showed up as a resturant on the bill but NOT on my monthly statement it just said WDW entertainmets systems or something the oly resturants that showed as such were from DTD.

hope it helps!!
