Payment Question? Has this happened to anyone else?

I made my final payment on our Poly reservation a few days ago. I used a different credit card then the one I originally booked with and put my deposit on.

But they charged my original card? Has this ever happened to anyone?

Before anyone suggests that I accidentally used my card, I am positive I did not. DH and I each have one card only. I used his, and read how his name was printed on his card to the CM because the reservation is in my name.

How did this happen? Fortunately, it isn't a big deal, but had I used my debit card from the checking account for my original deposit, it would have caused major problems!

My husband and I made reservations online and put our "room ONLY" deposit on a credit card and called yesterday to pay for the balance and they said that we could only pay when we get there. I just didn't want the hassle if for some reason something went wrong and I didn't want to carry along cash and a couple credit cards. So, your lucky they atomatically put it on your card. But, I do hope you get everything straightened out though.

I havent exactly had theat particular probelm, but many times they get confused at the front desk with different credit card numbers. We stay many times with extended family in 'home away form home' accomadations and it completely confuses them when one family wnats to pay $xx to their card and another family $yy dollars to another.

Good news is- once you explain it to them so they understand (might take 3 times..) they will gladly credit one card and charge another.
 
Well, I called this morning and the person I talked to said she could see that it was charged to my original card, but wasn't sure why! She said maybe a glitch!

Then she said she could credit my one account and charge the other account, but I said decided to just leave it because I am afraid that it may cause more problems (no account being credited and both being charged) in the short term.

Trissy - I would try and call back to see if you can make your payment. I also wanted to be fully paid before we left so it was one less thing to worry about!
