Hi Paula!!

Glad to hear you are in a better mood and are having a "new day!" That is awesome!

Have an even better tomorrow on me!
Mike :goodvibes

Well - I made it thru the day - with only 1 cookie eaten!! And did not have afternoon cofffee!! and did not butter my bread with dinner. And did not eat any of the desserts that the kids got at the bakery (didn't even look in the box). Eating a few crackers now - and diet pepsi.

Celebrating what you do right is a GREAT thing!!!!!

Keep on
Chris

Your mood definitely sounds lifted. I think posting the things that you do right is a great way to go. Thinking about all the wrong decisions can really make you think that you are not making progress when in fact you just might be.

Hope you get the college financing done. I know how stressful that is. Still waiting for some confirmations on loans myself.

Have a great day! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Well - here I am - been quite a while since I posted - had a few setbacks - been obsessed with the scale not moving - and 2 weeks ago - jsut as I was gettinh back in track with my Walk Away the Pounds video....I broke my tail bone!!! I also have some personal usies that I know are causing stress right now - so just trying to do the best I can....

Breakfast - 1/2 cinnamon raisin bagel - oj - coffee.

Here's to a good day!

Hi Paula,

Just wanted to check in and say hi! I hope that you are doing well with your injury and personal stress!! I am sending some goodvibes your way!!

Mike :goodvibes

Well - I feel like I'm creeping back with my "tail between my legs" - had a good taste of reality last week - went for my annual physical - all is well ectect that in the past year I have gained 8 pounds and in the past 7 yrs - 20 pounds - not good in my book.
So - I bought a new scale - dial type - will weigh in every Monday morning - again trying to just limit portions - if that does not work will move on to more "hard core".
Also got the OK to start exercising again - orthopedic dr says tail bone is healing fine - MD says walk 1 mile 3x week - I can do that - in fact I'll start this afternoon!!

So far today - 1 cup OJ - 2 cups coffee
**** have to buy vitamins and calcium supplements this week.

Lunch - tuna sandwich - no chips in the house so no temptations.
Dinner - unsure.......any suggetions??

*** also gave up afternoon coffee - switching to herbal tea - not sure what I have but I will buy new this week and make sure it's caffeine free - bought those new 100 calorie snack treats - that will be my afternoon snack.

Still need suggestions for 9pm munchies.....I work till 11pm so definitely need something at 9......

Not ready to sign up for any challenges yet - hopefully soon.

Hi Paula!

Welcome back and congrats on being able to exercise again! An injury like that has to be a big damper on your motivation!
As for the 9pm munchies, what about something like a string cheese? I know the fat/protein usually satiates my hunger with just that small serving. Plus it gets some dairy in to ya! :)

Have a great day, you can do this!!
Mike :goodvibes

Thanks for the encouraging words Mike - sending you a PM.

Hurray for me - had a tuna sandwich and carrot sticks for lunch - water to drink.

Also did 1 mile WAP!!!!!

Still unsure about dinner......leftover shepards pie in the fridge but don't even want a small portion of that......may have to run to the market later......

Having a good afternoon - 3pm snack was a cup of Republic of Tea - Pink Rose Greeen Tea and 100-calorie Oreo Crisps.

Still thinking about dinner - maybe stirfrying brocolli and carrots over pasta??

Too dreary - didn't feel like going out to get anything.

Dinner last night ended up being steamed brocolli and carrots - with chicken and pasta - didn't have any low salt terriaki sauce on hand so I made my own which came out very salty - took my portion before adding the sauce - just drizzled low fat honey dijon dressing on it.

Snack was a cup of decaf cinnamon spice tea and 2 hersheys nuggets at 7:30pm.

For today....

Coffee and juice - pretty hungry not many choices here so I'm going for 1 slice bread with peanut butter.

Lunch - undecided

Dinner - fish, stewed tomatoes - white rice.

More posting later...

Friday and yesterday were definitely "could have done better days"

Friday - out to breakfast with my dad - opted for scrambled eggs - toats - home fries - only ate 1/2 the home fries.

Later AM - dad wanted a snack - went to Dunkin Donuts - iced coffee (cream- no sugar) - could not resist - got a maple frosted donut.....only ate 1/2.

dinner was french bread cheese pizza - snack - 11pm.....at my desk working - decaf tea and granola bar

Yesterday.....breakfast - OJ - coffee - eng muffin with peanut butter

Lunch - large DD coffee and jelly stick....(not good - I was out and about shopping)

Dinner.....chex mix- didn't feel like cooking.....

Today so far - OJ - coffee - DD blueberry muffin......hungry now - going to make a cup of herbal tea........hoping to cook a "real" dinner tonite.....

Hey, Paula. Thanks for stopping by my journal today. :goodvibes

Are you trying to give up afternoon coffee, too? I find that when I have green tea--even though it has caffeine--I'm revved up, but in a much "softer" way, if that makes any sense. :p Still have to have the coffee in the a.m., though, even if it's only 1 mug.

Have a good day--
Erin

Glad the weekend and all of it's temptations are over......

Realized that I need to cook more on the weekend - if not I end up endlessly snacking.

I allowed myself dessert lat night - made pudding *chocolate - cooked - gotta have that "skin" with 2% milk and....the bad/good/bad part......home-made whipped cream. It was delicious.

Back on track today - coffee and juice for breakfast - lunch was salad - well actually just lettuce - boneless chicken breast - craisins - few croutons - lite honey dijon dressing - few tortilla ships (gotta have something crunchy) - diet coke to drink.

snack later will be herbal tea and 100-calorie orio crisps.

Dinner - a Rhode Island dish - dynamits - think sloppy joes - with red pepper but no chili powder - served in torpedo rolls - will try to avoid chips....

Eating habits not great this week but I still don't feel like I totally bombed - no more afternoon coffee - really limiting snacking doring the day and I hve found that I am eating smaller portions. Started taking a multi vitamin and calcium supplements.

Haven't done any walking yet this week - will try my best to get some in today.

Hi, Paula! Let's plan on another coffee-free afternoon, OK? We can do it! :goodvibes I don't know what your weather is like in RI, but here in PA it's :sunny: and bright. I hope you can catch a couple of rays to boost you through the day!

:flower: Erin

Not really wanting to post what I ate yesterday ....but I'll fell us - I guess a jelly donut and a cookie is not really considered good dinner food.

Having some worries - let junk food comfort me...didn't really work - today will be a batter day. Going to the mall to get some walking in and clear my head.
