Hi, I'm new to Disney Cruise and did my online check-in. I got a PAT time of 10:30-10:45. Can someone explain how this works and why. Will I get on the ship shortly after that time? They had all times available when i did check-in, so I took the earliest as we are driving over from Disney World in our own car. Do earlier PAT's board earlier than later PAT's??

Yes, your boarding time is attached to your PAT. You will get a boarding number when you check in at the port. Boarding generally begins around 11:15- 11:30 with concierge going first.

So if we arrive at 10:30-10:45, how long can we expect to wait in terminal to board?

I believe it depends on your boarding group number. I would estimate anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. Remember that all aboard is usually around 4 with the safety drill shortly after that.

Last year we had a 10:30 PAT and were on the ship by 11:45. From the time we finished checking in, it was only about 15 or 20 minutes until they call our boarding number. Sorry, but I can't remember if we were group 2 or 3. I just remember it was really quick because I was annoyed that my wife and daughter were in the bathroom changing into their swim suits when they called our number. LOL

Like they've said above, you arrive at 10:30-10:45. By the time you get through the check in line, check in, take you and your family's key card pics, you really don't wait too long. Stand in line for your first photo op with Mickey or Minnie and they'll be calling your number before you know it. I had that same time in April, received boarding group number 3 and the wait was about 10-15 min. You can also check the kids in to the oceaneers club in the waiting area, so there's plenty to do to pass those few minutes. Unless there is some unforeseen issue, then nobody knows. Have fun!

What should we plan on doing first with the kids once boarded. Water slide , kids club, lunch? Are there tables near the pool?

I would say lunch at Cabanas and ride aquaduck from noon.

Directly next to the pools are sun beds but then to the sides where you walk there are tables in the shade a good place to go.

I assume the waterslide ride gets busy as people board?? Might be nice to grab a table nearby and let the kids have a go at it before there's a long line?? Is Cabanas on same deck as pool?
