Passing the time while in ROFR

So we've been waiting on ROFR for almost TWO whole days now- I swear its torture! I would love to hear a few things you are all doing or recommend doing to make the time go by faster...

We are planning our trips-
1) Because the contract we got came with 174 points plus we get another 125 in Dec 2015 we are hoping to take two trips next year- MAY and DEC
2) We are planning on where we can stay for each trip and know that by the time we close we will be very close if not in the 7 month window for the May trip- so we have sat for hours planning out various scenarios

We are researching-
1) So this may sound silly but I didn't look into the whole booking using points thing till now- When to book, how to book, etc- all new to me
2) We are considering Annual Passes for the first time and learning more about them

We are dreaming-
1) two trips in one year? amazing
2) being able to use our own points for our vacations- so great
3) I love knowing that this is something we worked hard for and that the kids will enjoy for a very long time

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the wait is just as tedious on the other side. ..

We are considering Annual Passes for the first time and learning more about them

If you take trips in May 2015 and Dec 2015 you might want to plan your 2016 stay to end by the first day of your May 2015 travel dates so you get 3 trips out of your annual pass.
Maybe that is too early for you in 2016 but it is a consideration to stretch the annual pass.

Agree with splashboat. Maximize that AP. Even if you're out of DVC points, stay somewhere offsite for cheap, and get a third trip out of the pass.

Can't beat WDW park admission "for free," and the third and subsequent trips on a single AP are just that. We do the same; buying a pass and maximizing trips, then skipping a year and doing other things, which this coming year will mean a trip to the other coast for VGC...

The AP benefit is our favorite bonus with DVC. While it isn't a guaranteed perk, it certainly is a nice one while it lasts.

Correct.
You might not have to take 2017 off, just one year depending on points.
Since your going twice and maybe a third time, look into the Tables in Wonderland card. It would very much pay off for 2 trips uses.
The last thing to pass the time is just search all the forums here, dining, places to stay, tips, money savings. Lots to pass the time.

18 days so far for us....I just research and plan...and we are not even going till May lol

getting the most out of your AP really makes it worth it. We do our trip in May and then go 1 week earlier the next year...so 2 trips on one pass

We are 95% decided on the type of contract we are looking for so I am in the stalk listing stages. Can't wait till we can make an offer.

We are on day # 13 of being in ROFR!

You are right its a looooong wait! I have been researching threads on here. Studying DVC ownership. Most of all dreaming...

We are planning an Oct trip! we have been planning this trip since our last Oct trip we are renting points from 2 members on here! Both have been awesome to work with. We are looking forward to be owners!
