Okay - I'm getting ready to put my passes away from our recent trip. I had seven day park hopper plus passes. We only went to the park, so I have four "options" left on each card to use at a water park next time.

DS is nine. He had a child's pass. He won't be able to use that on our next trip. Is this pass good for anything? Can you upgrade options only? Or should I just get him a park hopper plus next trip, and the rest of us get pak hopper only passes?

Thanks for any help. I know if I don't write it down now when I put them away - I'll never remember! And I also like to pick up the passes as soon as I can so I don't pay any price increases down the line!

He can still use the plus options. Just stop at guest relations with your son and they will void the childs pass and re-issue it as an adult pass with exactly the same number of options left. If there were any park days they would be added to the new pass as well.

I will stress that you can only do it at guest relations at the park and your son needs to be with you so the CM can check to make sure the dates make sense.

Depending on when you are going to WDW again, you may not have to worry about it. There will be no problem using the child's ticket as is when he's 10 or 11.

Remember, do this only as an even no-cost ticket exchange.

Do not apply the value of the old child ticket towards a new adult hopper pass with more days, otherwise there is a huge exchange rate penalty. Then only the miniscule yesteryear's remaining child ticket dollar value will be applied to today's adult ticket ticket price.

Thanks guys! I guess I'll hang on to it - don't know when we're going again (weep, weep) but I doubt I could pass DS as 9! He's huge now!!!!
