Yes, sadly. It does leak where our covered patio meets the roof at our back door though. I showed dh the Mickey head tie-dye shirts and he said they were nice :rolleyes2 code word for "do I have to wear that"? :lmao:

My dh has the same code word and meaning - frequently nice is preceded by mmmmm. :lmao:

Thank you all for your replies! I need to do some more research on CSR. DH doesn't want CBR, he said if we're going to sleep in double beds, we may as well just stay at Pop! :rotfl2:
Are the Cabanas buildings preferred? Is it worth it to pay for the preferred rooms there?
I guess I need to go find the CSR resort thread!

Slightly odd question, but is CSR the resort where you can't fill your mug on your own, they have to do it behind the counter?

I love CSR! Have stayed there twice. It is big, but so is CBR. Rooms are awesome, and the decore has a deluxe feel to them. Awesome pool with longest mod slide and biggest hottub on property. No issues with refilling mugs. Buses have always been great. I like this resort way more than POFQ.

Thank you! I think we've been convinced, I've heard lots of good things about the resort. Is it bigger than POR?
My DH will be thrilled to hear about the hot tub & my 11 year old looked thrilled with the pool & that slide, lol. :rotfl:

We have NEW Get to Know Ya's!!

This time we focus in on...

DisneyGuess

I think it is bigger. Just request any section than Rancheros if you want to be closer to the lobby area. But really, nothing is THAT far of a walk. The buses are awesome. And if really pooped, there is a CM who can drive people around on a golf cart. I have stayed in Cabanas 8B twice and loved it. I never paid extra for a preferred room.

And the conference peeps didn't bug me. They are all stuck inside workshops and keynote speaker hell, so I think that is why the buses are so awesome. So it almost never seems that crowded. Does that make sense? There are nice hammocks to relax in around the lake. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there a 3rd time.

I switched! I just need to make a new ticker, hehe. I'm excited! I requested Cabanas building 8, A or B, both look great to me. :flower3::faint::hyper:

Can my info on roll call be changed please! :flower3::blush:

WedgieSock & Nixie -- Thanks for sharing that. I find it really interesting to hear all these different experiences. I guess this is something we are lucky on and there are likely other areas in which our schools are more strict. Last year DS missed about 12 days of school for travel :crazy2: but as we get to higher grades I won't do quite as much of our travel during school time. For this trip, wiht the way our school holidays fall this year he'll only have to miss one school day in any case. Nixie -- those are some pretty tough guidelines!

All this talk about CSR is making me want to try it, but I just can't give up AOA, I'm so excited about our stay there -- maybe on our next trip we'll try a moderate :)

So does anyone know the answer to this.... I am staying at AKL the first night and moving to OKW the second on DVC reservations. They are not linked, however being an early riser I figured I could go out early and check in, get our UT paper tickets transferred to my KTTW card- while my family hangs out in the other room. Does anyone think this would be an issue?

Since the reservations aren't linked it shouldn't be an issue. You can check in even before your room is ready at OKW and they'll just txt you when your room is ready :)

Updated, and I changed your "feature" as well!

DH actually wanted to go to the outlets yesterday, so I got to get my Disney Parks fix and go to the Disney Character Warehouse again. Got a few fun things at some good prices. Posted it here on my PTR if interested.

Based on my normal sleep patterns I will be there at 6am ;) so hoping that I can get everything squared away and our room be available around 1pm for naptime!

I think CSR is a great choice Disneyguess! It looks beautiful! :)

I miss you Phatoomch! :sad::sad::sad:

It's really interesting to hear about all these different school districts approach to absences. In DS's folder on the first day of school (he's in Junior Kindergarten) I wrote out the days we'd be gone for Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and our "Family Vacation". I didn't even put where we were going so his teacher didn't ruin the surprise by saying something about going to Disney.

I really hope ours isn't as strict as others, because we typically have 4-5 days a year he'd need to take off because of Jewish holidays... Ugh.
