Hello fellow December DIS-ers. I'm finally back in the swing of things after my quick trip to CA. Here's a dress I bought out there (LOL, I buy everything online so it hardly matters where I was when I bought it). This is from Athleta, which I love because I like to wear dresses and their
dresses travel well (and come in my size):

I think I'll get a lot of use out of this, I can wear it in the parks and go straight to dinner.

I love this and I think we have one of their shops in the neighborhood. Maybe this weekend I can go look.

Disney Store has 25% off Parks stuff today, that might help you spend some time. :rotfl2: DANG those emails!

Thank you for posting this! Totally just saved me $22 on the Cinderella castle my DD4 wants for Christmas! Of course, now I can qualify for free shipping too if I spend $10 more, so it would be silly not to, right? So the big question is, Should I get the cute little Mickey and Minnie Christmas ornaments or should I get my daughter a 2012 zip-up hoodie.

Very cute and comfortable!

The hoodies are soft. I'd go for that, and look for an ornament while you're down there.

HELP: Jeff has decided to add a couple of ADR's. We are looking for Sunday and this is what is available.
Grand Floridian
Cape May
Kona
Boma

So out of the above selections what one would you choose (not worried about the kids they get to eat off the kids menu).

thanks

Is this for breakfast or dinner! I think Kona will be our favorite breakfast place and I'm sure dh would have wanted to eat there more than once but I booked GFCafe for another one. I've heard great things about Boma but I've never been myself.

Hello to all! I hope everyone made it through Sandy intact. Here in MI we are having some interesting wind gusts, but other than that and a little rain all is well. The fact that the storm was big enough to reach us at all terrifies me a bit.

Ok so it is just DH and I staying at POP. Do I need one of these(but in pink of course)? I do like the idea of getting stuff off the counter so mousekeeping doesn't touch it. I have seen lots of pictures of people using one. Thoughts??

I am not organized enough to use one of those, LOL! I wouldn't personally use it.

Nice! I love their clothes as well :-)
I have a similar dress that's a halter for the summer

My sis gave me an athleta halter dress that I love, as well. :) It's not a tall size so I use it for a swimsuit coverup mostly, though I will wear it as a dress if I feel brave and it's really hot! DH really likes it- of course!

Since it will be Dec. I figure I could wear a sweater, a T, or even tights with this if I need to because of the dark color.

I bought a cute black cardigan to go over my dress :) I do love that athleta has talls - very helpful!

I see you posted it was for dinner. I really liked the food at Cape May. And it's a good chance to see the decorations at BW and BC if you don't already have that on your plan.

We haven't been to Boma yet but it's high on our list.

I have the Grand Floridian on my Plan A but that's really just because that's where we'll be when we need to eat. And nothing else is open. It gets fine reviews but doesn't look particularly interesting to me.

So far it sounds like Cape May be the way we go we all love seafood. We have an adr at chef mickey for 11:00 then we are going to go to mk for a while then eat dinner then depending on moods of all go over to Epcot for a while.

Love that dress so classic and has a beautiful design that just sings Art Deco great choice :goodvibes

I would love to but it would take an awful lot of convincing to make it so. I don't think you can take a bounce back offer (room only) AND a free dining offer, but you could book the room and switch to free dining should it become available at a later date. I'd love to book a bounce back for a deluxe resort....like an Epcot resort during F&W? I don't know the answer but can you use the dining package on booths at F&W? Maybe I wouldn't even want free dining if not.

That's what we'll be doing. Booking either BWV or BCV for F&W. I'd like to try BC next time, but that would involve blocking out time for Storm-Along Bay and with only 3 full days at F&W, I'm not sure we want to spare the time.

You can use snack credits for the F&W booths. However, FD at a Deluxe would get you a lot more TS credits than you would want to use if you were doing F&W. When we go to F&W we don't eat anywhere else. Also, generally speaking, you save more with a RO on a Deluxe than with FD.

I have to admit I was a little nervous about a seafood buffet. But I was really surprised at how good it was. I mostly ate the crab legs and mussels. Everything was tasty and it was all fresh and not overcooked.

Well out of this list, I can highly recommend the two we have dined at: Cape May and Boma. YUM and YUM.

You can't go wrong with either choice! :thumbsup2

I'm not going to have time to catch up from yesterday evening. But I just wanted to check in and let everyone know that we are ok. Thankfully no damage. We lost a few tree branches, but they were small and nothing huge. We also lost one section of the samll wooden fence we had, but that was so old anyway and falling apart. So I'm not surprised.

We lost power around 4:30 yesterday evening and just got it back on about 45 minutes ago. I don't know how long we will have it. Last year, it was on again, off again while the electric company was working at taking a tree off of the power lines that knocked us out. We may be going through the same thing again.

DS has been off of school yesterday, today and now tomorrow. He may be home the whole week if power doesn't come back to the school.
