Just saw headlines that Disney bought Luca Films and plans to release a new Star Wars movie in 2015. Thoughts?

Ok, well it took me until 2011 to watch the 'new' prequels and they were made by Lucas because I am a die-hard old school fan and I wasn't happy about the choices they made for Anakin Skywalker & some other characters plus the angle they took in the first one .......

Sooooooooo, I'll just keep my opinion to myself about Disney planning to release a new one

I'm not going to have time to catch up from yesterday evening. But I just wanted to check in and let everyone know that we are ok. Thankfully no damage. We lost a few tree branches, but they were small and nothing huge. We also lost one section of the samll wooden fence we had, but that was so old anyway and falling apart. So I'm not surprised.

We lost power around 4:30 yesterday evening and just got it back on about 45 minutes ago. I don't know how long we will have it. Last year, it was on again, off again while the electric company was working at taking a tree off of the power lines that knocked us out. We may be going through the same thing again.

DS has been off of school yesterday, today and now tomorrow. He may be home the whole week if power doesn't come back to the school.

It is so good to hear from you....I know I can speak for everyone that we were worried! Whew!

We are about 15 min from the beach in Cape May and 15 min from Wildwood in the other direction. We most likely don't have flooding but there are a LOT of big trees around the camper so we'll see.

Fingers crossed! It seems like a very pretty area.

My thoughts exactly. Don't even get me started on midichlorians...

But I'm a sucker for all things Star Wars, so I guess hope springs eternal for a good sequel/prequel/parallel universe movie......

Well, at least some new rides. They're badly needed at DHS. I think it's safe to say that Star Wars is almost as iconic as Mickey Mouse, and I don't really see its popularity diminishing over time or it would have already. The original movies actually have held up well despite the very minimal CGI they had then, quite remarkable, I think.

My sister is at Disney and took her 4 year old in dinosaur n tower of terror ride. few friends of mine did the same, I'm not sure If my oldest kid my son he 5 would go, I'm kinda scared to take him lol
Does anyone take their kids on these rides?

Star Wars is a favorite here too when we finally got a HD TV this year first thing we got was Star Wars on Blu Ray....

I'm curious to see how Disney handles this new acquirement. I'm hoping between this an the talks of Carsland DHS will get a much needed overhaul

I'm curious to see the next movie, I grew up on the old star wars movies. I was ok with the prequels but I've never been into it like a diehard fan.

After a long couple days off after my grandmother died, I have returned to two pieces of good news.

1) 30 days left!!! And Mickey Mail came while we were gone....

2) The Disney/Star Wars news. Combining my two favorite things...AWESOME!

Hi Dis Buddies! I could really use everyone's prayers right now. Our back fence got broken into while mom and I were at a funeral in Joplin today and the dogs got out. The neighbors caught one, but our rescue Corgi ran off and we haven't been able to find him. The whole family is sick and worried to death over him, and we could use all the prayers we can get that he'll turn up safe and sound!
