Which week would be best Nov. 14-21 or Nov 28- Dec 5 2026? Taking our 4 grandchildren ages 10, 8, 5, and 4

Do you want Epcot Festival of the Holidays and all that entails? If so, you have to go 28-5 as their holiday stuff only launches around Thanksgiving. My girls (10 at the time) loved the holiday storytellers, Candlelight Processional, and holiday Voices of Liberty. If this is a Disney "Christmas" trip, you have to pick that week to really get all of Disney Christmas. That said, you'd be arriving Black Friday and starting the trip during Thanksgiving weekend, so at least the first few days of that trip are going to be very busy.

If the goal is just a family visit, not specifically a visit to see Disney at Christmas, then 11-14 to 21 will probably be cheaper flights and lower crowds, since it's further from the holiday.

I would do 11/28-12/5 so you get to experience all of the holiday stuff.

We have done the week before Thanksgiving week the last three years and it is great as the parks are all decorated for Christmas and it completely avoids any Thanksgiving weekend travel. The only real downside is that some of the resorts aren't decorated yet. Crowds in the parks aren't too bad either.

With all those kids, I would want to pick what best fits in their schedule.

I think Disney does a great job with the Christmas decorations, so I would want to go then, but there is no wrong answer here, as those are both good times to go.

What week is Jersey week next year? I thought it was conflicting for next year?

Jersey week is always the first FULL week of November. In 2026 it’s the week of November 2.

We go right after Thanksgiving every year. Weather is usually nice. Crowds are manageable. And holiday activities are in full swing.

What do the parents say? I would leave the call to them, doesn’t matter for a 4 year old but 10 is a different situation. The Dec trip could be a problem so close to the long Winter/Xmas break where they might come back from Disney and be dumped right into quarter end/semester end tests and projects.

I just booked our next trip for Saturday November 28th to Friday December 4th! We anticipate that the 29th might still be a bit busy but it's mostly a very busy check out day for the Thanksgiving crowd - so I've been told. Our other days will be much quieter. We have always gone to Disney is September for low crowds but my mom is coming with us this time and she could not handle September heat
