Hahaha they had that episode on last night! :rotfl:

All caught up... now to do some replies. This thread is a part time job, :)

I think we might just go for the 9:00 show. Then we can stay at MK a bit later, and literally the last thing we'll do will be La Nouba - not a bad way to end the trip!

I keep going back and forth on it. Was thinking of moving La Nouba to Tuesday and then doing MVMCP on Friday night, but that feels like a LOT. It's only a 4 day trip. :P

Edit: OMG my ticker is under 2 months!!!

Ha ha! We're only there for 4 days too. I feel like we keep saying "well that's alot to do" and then add more anyway! We're doing Osborne Lights on our arrival day, MVMCP on day 2 (already have tix), and CP on day 3 (booked a package). It will be so much fun!!! :cheer2:

We will be arriving in Orlando on Dec 19th. We are headed to MVMCP on the 20th! So very excited to enjoy our first Christmas in Disney! We are staying off property in our 5th wheel this time and are looking forward to a magical vacation!

Welcome!

I'm new here. This is my first Disney trip since 1983. We're arriving on 12/10 and staying at BWI. :cheer2:

We only started planning this a week ago, so a lot of ADRs are already gone. So far I've gotten Le Cellier on 12/11 dinner, CP 12/12 Lunch, and I just landed a Tomorrowland dessert party for 12/14. I wasn't planning on doing MVMCP but I really want the dessert party for Wishes. BF loves fireworks and since he's paying for the trip I figured this would be my contribution.

Has anyone done the dessert party?

Trip is paid for but our 45 days is on my bday (which told me we HAD to go).

Welcome!! We are staying at the boardwalk villas the same week!!

Wow!! Most of us have been planning for months!!! Kudos to you for being a little more spontaneous. I am doing the dessert party this year for the first time. My BIL and family have done it three times and say they will do it every trip. I think they like not fighting the crowds for a spot for the fireworks.

He has vacation time that had to be used by the end of the year. This is our first real vacation together. I let him choose what we were going to do (I expected a cruise since I did get my passport last year). He chose Disney. I'm not complaining at all!

I'm so excited I'm bouncing off the wall already!!! I'm afraid I won't have enough time to do EVERYTHING. I'd love to get CRT for breakfast but I'm not holding my breath.

I ordered 1/2 price 2012 WDW shirts from DisneyStore yesterday. I figure I probably would have bought them anyway. I'm trying to save money where I can.

That IS fun!

Thanks!

Lucky you! I really don't know when my next trip will be. BF and I want to go back for Halloween, but he doesn't have a long enough fall break for that to happen. Looks like at least 2 more years before a Halloween trip. I'm trying to get my Mom to commit to a girls trip.

We are trying to squeeze in one more free trip for DD and we got AP for dec and may.

Yay for a May trip! I have to wait until march to book our next trip for October...

DVC member? We are!

May trip will be celebrating DD`s 3rd birthday. She will turn 3 during the trip. :goodvibes

Welcome to the zoo..........err........roll call!!!!!1 :cheer2:

Our trip starts on the 19th too, but we're doing MVMCP the night after you are!

My gosh I can't keep up!

Hi everyone. DH and I spent all weekend fixing up our house and possibly getting it ready to put on the market-there is a possibility of moving soon or not until spring. It is a sellers market right now and we may move closer into Sacramento and near my sons next school.

We also celebrated our 13 year anniversary.

Also Go SF Giants!

No Disney news other than deciding to cancel Coral Reef-Somehow eating fish while watching fish is turning me off. I think we may go for a drink.

44 days!

We put our old house on the market this time last year thinking it would take at least a year and we had a contract in January by the first people to look at it. Best of luck getting it to sell!
Also happy anniversary!

We celebrate our 13th anniversary tomorrow!

Happy Anniversary!

Welcome! I think you've scored some great ADR's for just recently starting to plan. Keep checking on CRT. Ohana was my big one in June when BF and I took our kids and I didn't get it until maybe 2 weeks before we left. People cancel ALL the time so just keep checking even 2x a day if you want it that badly.

I did the same thing with ordering us shirts for our up coming trip (just the two of us). I'm like you, if I can save money IN ADVANCE of our trip, especially on something I know I'd buy anyway, I'm gonna do it for sure!
:thumbsup2 Sadly, my shirts are going back - his just didn't fit him very well. So we've decided to go with matching football shirts :confused3... Texans (for him) one day, Saints (for me) on a different day and then maybe some Spurs stuff for our home team... who knows, at this point I just wanna be there already. :upsidedow

Thanks! He's never stayed at Boardwalk before and when I was there in '83, we stayed off site at a Holiday Inn in Kissimmee.

We haven't stayed there either but are looking forward to being able to walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios especially since we have a stroller.

:scared1:I have a small weakness for Disney Store sales. I may have bought a few shirts for this trip in the last couple weeks (like 5 or 6, and some pajama pants). And now I feel like I need a 2012 one!!! :faint:

Yea, I think you need one too... you should definitely buy one. I can sense that you're feeling a little incomplete right now... When I was pondering the DIS Boards over the weekend, I thought to myself, hmmmm Valerie seems like she needs a 2012 WDW shirt - just doesn't seem right that she doesn't have one... I think you should go buy it right now...:smokin:

There's a free shipping code if you order any Disney Parks merchandise today...

Me, enable more shopping, no, never :rotfl:

I'm so jealous of all the Boardwalk-staying folks. Maybe someday. I would love to be able to walk to DHS and Epcot. Whomp.

It's 57 days until we leave town and head to AoA. I really can't wait. We'll be paying off our trip sometime soon. Yay!

Not that I want to be an enabler BUT Disney Parks wants us to celebrate Disney's Days of Christmas by offering Free Shipping from Oct. 16-18th. Code is PARKFREE. To me free shipping means you can order extra stuff. :)

Had to google Welsh dresser. Not sure what we would call it. Maybe a hutch or armoire, but I think an armoire would be more for clothes not dishes. Clearly I dont have one. :lmao:

Not sure how you can lose something that big. Hmmm...

We had one for dishes when I was a kid - called it a hutch.

If you don't want it, I would offer it to other family members. Then if they don't want it - get rid of it. If anyone objects, offer it to them. I'm all about getting rid of things other people think I should be holding onto. ;)

Hello everyone, :wave2:

I am what I guess you could call a DIS creeper! I have been a member for a few years and have a few posts but mostly come on here to read what others have to say.

I was at the “World” last October and have recently gotten the urge to go back. Of course my two little girls (6 and 8) asking constantly when we are going again has something to do with it. So after doing some research on prices and airfare, I have booked a trip for THIS December. I am so beyond excited. I am usually a planner and have planned all my other trips a year or so in advance. So this is a very spontaneous, out of character thing for me to. I love Christmas time and all the decorations and lights so this is double the fun.

We will be heading to Disney on 12/12/12 (and just NOW realized that date) through Dec 18th. We are currently booked at the Beach Club (with free dining). And now I am second guessing whether that is the right choice for this trip. I have 2 days planned at the Magic Kingdom and plan to do the MVMCP on the 13th. Then one day each at Epcot, HS and AK. We will do the whole back to the resort at midday to play at the pool etc but now I am worrying about the weather and if it will be too cold to actually enjoy the pool and I’m wondering if I should switch to a monorail resort for this trip and try the beach club when it’s a warmer time of year. The prices at Contemporary are so high but Poly seems reasonable. Oh man. Well I have until Oct 28th to decide and get the final payment in. I guess I will hem and haw about it for a while, haha. DH is no help he says “just tell me where to be” lol and we have decided to surprise the girls with this trip so cant really get their input either. Though I know one would say BC the other would say Contemporary. LOL
Do you guys have any thoughts on this?

I have a bunch of ADRs made. Still holding out hope of getting Ohana’s since its DHs favorite but have some pretty good ones otherwise. I even scored a Crystal Palace for pre-park opening breakfast one day.

I look forward to chatting with you all.

I don't know the app answer but agree - not so "hidden mickeys" if they give the exact location!

It's helpful to know the exact location if you have young kids. That way you can point them in the right direction.

2x a day?! :rotfl2: More like 20-30x a day..

If the ADR site goes down, blame me..
