Hi, Touring plans is reporting that the New Fantasyland was open for EMH last night. I am excited because there has been no confirmed reports that it will be open during MVMCP. If they are opening for EMH, I am hoping that part of the park will also be open during MVMCP.

CMs are reporting it will be open for the Halloween party, even in soft opening mode, so I would assume it will be open for Christmas too.

Ha ha! We're only there for 4 days too. I feel like we keep saying "well that's alot to do" and then add more anyway! We're doing Osborne Lights on our arrival day, MVMCP on day 2 (already have tix), and CP on day 3 (booked a package). It will be so much fun!!! :cheer2:

I am just trying to pace myself! I drove DH and myself into the ground last year (5 day trip) and I don't want to do that with my mom. I want to have fun, not be so exhausted that it is all a blur, LOL! I just feel like if I add MVMCP it will push it over the edge into insanity. :scared:

Arrival night: MK, MSEP, Fireworks!
Day 1: Chef Mickey's Breakfast, Head to MK or wherever.
Day 2: HS, lunch at SciFi, Fantasmic
Day 3: Epcot, dinner at Le Celier, Illuminations
Day 3: MK, La Nouba at 9:00!

Man, it is going to go by so fast.

Yea, I think you need one too... you should definitely buy one. I can sense that you're feeling a little incomplete right now... When I was pondering the DIS Boards over the weekend, I thought to myself, hmmmm Valerie seems like she needs a 2012 WDW shirt - just doesn't seem right that she doesn't have one... I think you should go buy it right now...:smokin:

There's a free shipping code if you order any Disney Parks merchandise today...

Me, enable more shopping, no, never :rotfl:

Not that I want to be an enabler BUT Disney Parks wants us to celebrate Disney's Days of Christmas by offering Free Shipping from Oct. 16-18th. Code is PARKFREE. To me free shipping means you can order extra stuff. :)

You guys are bad!!! Now I have to decide if I want a zip up hoodie (gray), sweatshirt (dark blue), long sleeve tee (gray), or short sleeve tee (several colors). I wish the sweatshirts came in red. Then I would be all over it. They are all sitting in my bag as I contemplate. :upsidedow

Hello everyone, :wave2:

I am what I guess you could call a DIS creeper! I have been a member for a few years and have a few posts but mostly come on here to read what others have to say.

I was at the “World” last October and have recently gotten the urge to go back. Of course my two little girls (6 and 8) asking constantly when we are going again has something to do with it. So after doing some research on prices and airfare, I have booked a trip for THIS December. I am so beyond excited. I am usually a planner and have planned all my other trips a year or so in advance. So this is a very spontaneous, out of character thing for me to. I love Christmas time and all the decorations and lights so this is double the fun.

We will be heading to Disney on 12/12/12 (and just NOW realized that date) through Dec 18th. We are currently booked at the Beach Club (with free dining). And now I am second guessing whether that is the right choice for this trip. I have 2 days planned at the Magic Kingdom and plan to do the MVMCP on the 13th. Then one day each at Epcot, HS and AK. We will do the whole back to the resort at midday to play at the pool etc but now I am worrying about the weather and if it will be too cold to actually enjoy the pool and I’m wondering if I should switch to a monorail resort for this trip and try the beach club when it’s a warmer time of year. The prices at Contemporary are so high but Poly seems reasonable. Oh man. Well I have until Oct 28th to decide and get the final payment in. I guess I will hem and haw about it for a while, haha. DH is no help he says “just tell me where to be” lol and we have decided to surprise the girls with this trip so cant really get their input either. Though I know one would say BC the other would say Contemporary. LOL
Do you guys have any thoughts on this?

I have a bunch of ADRs made. Still holding out hope of getting Ohana’s since its DHs favorite but have some pretty good ones otherwise. I even scored a Crystal Palace for pre-park opening breakfast one day.

I look forward to chatting with you all.
Kelly

Welcome! Did you price out just the tower for Contemporary or did you do the garden wing as well it really isnt that far and withso many days at MK being able to walk there would be worth it. The walk is like 8 minutes.

He has vacation time that had to be used by the end of the year. This is our first real vacation together. I let him choose what we were going to do (I expected a cruise since I did get my passport last year). He chose Disney. I'm not complaining at all!

I'm so excited I'm bouncing off the wall already!!! I'm afraid I won't have enough time to do EVERYTHING. I'd love to get CRT for breakfast but I'm not holding my breath.

I ordered 1/2 price 2012 WDW shirts from DisneyStore yesterday. I figure I probably would have bought them anyway. I'm trying to save money where I can.

You *won't* have enough time to do everything. So just relax and enjoy the ride. :)

And someone on here just scored CRT breakfast this week. So keep trying.

We're at 45 days from today!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I'm having such a hard time deciding where to eat and do we even want to do TS meals...

Here's what I have so far:

12/1 - Arrive at Hilton by noon
Go through DTD and get to MK by 2:00
ADR at LTT at 4:15
Late night snack - hoping to score dessert party for that evening...

12/2 - Hit Starbucks on our way to DHS
Grab "breakfast" at Starring Roles
Head to ESPN Zone for lunch/football
Back to DHS for Fantasmic, Osborne Lights (I'm hoping we can do both)
Dinner on our way out to Hilton via DTD

12/3 - Start at AK for EMH
Thinking about lunch at Plaza Restaurant or Kona or Pecos Bills?
Resort hop via monorail to see Christmas displays
Finish at MK for EMH

12/4 - Start at MK for EMH
Breakfast at Main Street Bakery or Sleepy Hollow for Nutella Waffle
Head to Epcot for Candlelight Processional pkg w/ Via Napoli at 3:30 and show at 6:45...

That's about it... I WANT ADR's but I also have so many QS meals I want to try too... Since we're not huge eaters anymore, I'm worried about too much food especially when my snack list is already really, really long! :crazy2:

Want to also fit in Earl of Sandwich and WPE... feel like I need to add another 2 days so I can eat more!! :rolleyes2

Welcome!!! We love surprise trips!! Do you know how you will tell your girls? We also love to give our opinions on resorts!!! A monorail would be nice for all that time in MK. But BC is beautiful and has such easy access to DHS and Epcot. I know that was about as helpful as your DH. :lmao:

They've got a really cute red holiday hoodie, but it's not a zip up one. I may have noticed it while I was adding Mickey Santa Ears, the Holiday Minnie Headband Ears and a 2012 Food & Wine Cookbook to my cart (and that unwrap the Holiday Magic Mickey Tshirt might accidently end up in my cart too) :rolleyes1

I feel your pain!!!! It's like the more places you add, the more you want. We loved the freedom of having no ADRs last year. Will be interesting to see how we like it this year with a TS everyday. And I have no idea when I am going to eat all the snacks I want!!!

Hey!! You have ventured outside of the sale. :rotfl2: I saw that hoodie when I did my last order, but it is just too much $$ for me. I need it to go 1/2 price. Dont see that happening until AFTER my trip. LOL

Welcome! You've definitely found the right place to chat and bounce ideas around :-)

My family prefers the monorail resorts, and the Poly is a unanimous favorite, so my biased opinion is to switch! We have stayed at YC and liked that too. DD(12) honestly didn't like the pool at YC/BC as much as other resorts where we've stayed. Her BFF though loves BC and storm along bay

Either choice is fantastic and you'll have a blast!

I love that hoodie and the Mickey xmas tee. But both are outside my budget until they go 1/2 price.

WOW, I'm only gone for an hour or so and there are 5 pages to read!!!

And just in case we didn't see you with your pink sneakers, bag & hair, these will help us to identify you in a crowd! Who needs a LGMH?!?

See! Don't say I don't ever try and make your lives easier.

Shhh...It's a Wig? (sorry, had to. Some of you that watch too much TV, like I do, will get the reference. :happytv:)

:lmao:

Now my Mum is saying she's refusing to go with me - she can take the sneakers, the bag, even the furry legwarmers but shes not putting up with my hair flying off as I'm running down Main Street crying "We're here! We're here!"

Shes such a spoil-sport :snooty:

Guess what .... I'm on the phone to Disney waiting to pay :cool1:

Thanks!

We are trying to squeeze in one more free trip for DD and we got AP for dec and may.

DVC member? We are!

May trip will be celebrating DD`s 3rd birthday. She will turn 3 during the trip. :goodvibes

Yep! We want to do a 3-4 night grown up trip. Our home resort is OKW but we want to stay at the Boardwalk as our first choice. I am also trying to figure out if where we want to stay for our family trip. I am thinking BLT or WL - being so close to MK would be great with a 2.5 yr old and 4 yr old. :D

It's helpful to know the exact location if you have young kids. That way you can point them in the right direction.

True, but it kills more time if you're all looking ;)

:woohoo:

Welcome to all our new roll-callers - today is a busy day!

You'll love this thread - its so much fun. Watch some of them though *whispers* they're kinda hyper .... I'm the quiet conservative one :littleangel:

Exactly!!

When we went in June with our kids there was NO WAY I was going without ADR's for a group of 6, not to mention I knew we'd want that little reprive from the sun and being on the go... Dining plan was a huge help too!

That's the other thing about wanting ADR's but also wanting to stay away from them. We're not on the dining plan this time around. I feel like we're not throwing something away but not taking advantage of all the credits.

The only two meals manfriend mentioned was LTT (which we're doing) and then he said to check into Hoop-De-Doo Review. Now, here's what's funny about that... manfriend doesn't eat meat off of bones and looking at the HDDR menu - it's a chow-down fest of bone-in meats so I'm kind :confused3
not to mention it's $45 per person for the cheap seats...

so I think the more I consider all our options, I'm getting more excited about not having but 2 ADR's... and if we want more, we can always ask for pixie dust... pixiedust:
