Good morning everyone!!! Glad we have heard from a few of our east coasters. I am WAY far inland and we had major wind and rain all night and now snow this morning, so I can only imagine what they got hit with.


Another day with nothing to plan or change. I had a scheduled meeting with my boss today so I got a bunch of stuff done yesterday, and she cancelled the meeting. So I have a little free time today.

Disney Store has 25% off Parks stuff today, that might help you spend some time. DANG those emails!

So yesteray I booked the CP package with Trace Adkins (DD is a fan) and the fantasmic dinner package! So excited! In 20 trips this will be the first time we have done either! Heck this will be a trip of many firsts!

First time in Dec, first time seeing Osborne Lights, first time seeing new Fantasyland, first time first time seing new test track, first time staying POR in AB, first time eating at LTT..lol Im so exicted now if the crowds will just cooperate!

I saw that!!! They are killing me. I just checked my email and I had the Disney store sale email, an email thanking me for my order from yesterday and an email saying last week's order is on the way.

Hello roll-callers!! I'm happy to see some others have already checked in from Sandy's path. I'm doing well. I still have power and no major damage here, just lots of branches down. We had record rainfall at BWI overnight. Still rainy and windy here, but the intensity is slowly going down. The temperature has dropped significantly too.

Hope everyone else still being affected by Sandy stays safe today, and everyone else has a happy Tuesday.

Glad you made it through. I could do without the cold though. We might see snow flurries here.

On the plus side, it will make it easier to get into the Disney Christmas mindset.

Just realized - yesterday was my 5 week mark. I just need to get through this week (Halloween, school book fair, teacher conferences and DS's birthday party) then I can focus on Disney. It's so odd that we have to focus on real life this week after all that.

We have a Canon PowerShot and it works great! Packs a lot of features in a small camera. They are a bit more ($150), but we bought ours on sale for for $100, so hopefully you can find one or a similar camera in your budget. Here's one on Amazon:

One of my cameras is a basic Nikon coolpix- I've gotten great shots with it!

I just bought the Canon Powershot A2300 for my son for $98 on Amazon. I used it this weekend and its nice and super tiny and light. There's also one just above it (the A2400?) that has a few more features for not much more cost.

Thanks for the recommendations. With calls being slow today it will give me something to do.

My Disney Store order is arriving today. Last trip I used an overnight bag to store all of my Disney stuff. Well, that is full, so I'll be moving to a small suitcase! Really trying not to go to the Disney Store website today, but that 25% off is tempting! I've been eyeing a couple of board games.

I think I have decided to get the PhotoPass +. I need to order that. I ordered our customized maps yesterday. I also need to order some shirts and dresses off of etsy. Good thing today is payday!

I'd better get the kids ready for school. Two hour delay today, and since neither of the kids slept well last night, they really needed that extra sleep!

Oh, one more thing: This question got lost in the posts. Is there a new touring plan in place that includes the new Fantasyland?

Me too. Okay I lie, I did go look at the website. One of the shirts I bought yesterday at half off is now full price and then 25% off. So I got it for cheaper and with free shipping. I feel better. I am done with the shirts!! Although, I reserve the right to get a Christmas one, if I see something cute.

Can anyone recommend an affordable Good point and shoot camera? Something under $125?

bought a Nikon coolpics right before our last trip(DH dropped and broke the Kodak that we had and loved) I was in the same place, not knowing what was a good point and shoot....we did purchase the Nikon but also bought a bloggie-Sony and used both.....I love the touch screen and features, even more than the old camera we had(guess that the DH breaking it wasnt so bad!)...

On another note, it is 'chilly' here in S FL this morning. Chilly for us = in the 60s. I am wearing a sweater! DRY SEASON IS HERE.

So glad to see that our East Coast DIS'ers seemed to have fared Frankenstorm well. The pictures and video footage is crazy. I know there was some photoshopped pics making the rounds on Facebook yesterday, but the legitimate ones I have seen this morning are so sad.
