Parley....Will That Get Me On The Ship Any Faster part 2

I know it is still a week away, but I just looked at the forecast for St. Maarten & St. Thomas and it looks like rain is predicted? :sad2:

Who is packing the pixie dust?

Awww... that's too bad. What happens to the excursions if it rains?

 Happy Anniversary Robin & Mike!

Happy Anniversary!!!

Got our FE in the mail today! Woo hoo!:banana:

Guess that is our sign that it is time to get the luggage down from the attic.

Been making small piles of stuff as it comes out of the wash or off the ironing board. Packing for 2 young girls :cutie::cutie: (and 1 older one :bride: ) is exhausting!I am really concerned about how I"m gonna pack all the FE stuff. Could almost fill a small suitcase with that and the chocolate!
Good thing we're driving is all I can say.

We will be spending Friday night at the Comfort Inn suites, but will most likely be getting there too late to meet anyone for dinner. Was planning on leaving at crack of dawn, but mom wants to take the older DD for a pedi-mani that morning before we leave.

Just in case anyone hadn't been back here in a while, we did finally get our room assignment...
The Webmiester Party will be in room 7110.

Can't wait to meet everyone!

Isn't that the truth (except mine is packing for DH)? I think the girlies' clothes are taking up more room than ours. I am hoping to finish packing tonight, but DH has not started on his clothes yet. We are staying at CI&S too. Maybe we'll see you at breakfast.

We are located mid ship deck 6. We could use our door. I have a small white board that I can take.

We're deck 6 mid-ship too, so that works for us!

How about the rest of the Parleyers --- shall we establish Achray's room as message central?

St. Maarten, Tuesday October 25:

A few thunderstorms possible. Highs in the mid 80s and lows in the low 80s.

St. Thomas, Wednesday October 26

Chance of showers. Highs in the upper 80s and lows in the upper 70s.

I think this is the same forecast that I've seen every time I've been to these islands! There will probably be some rain but not everywhere and not all the time; generally just passing showers.

Sounds good to me :thumbsup2

That sounds like Orlando weather. :rolleyes1

Well I just closed our FE Suitcase, and it isn't exactly small. :)

I agree with the good thing we are driving as well. 46 hours until I can turn off the work BB. I am ready!

Just a quick post to let anyone who might be interested know that I did a not-so-short little write-up on the stargazing meet. It's just kind of a preview of some of the things I plan to share with the group that night. It's in the Blog section of my website, www.OneDarkSky.com. You can also go directly to the post by following this link.

Just a few more days! See you real soon!

One more get-up for work for me!

Unfortunately, piddly hotel chains are able to offer free internet access because WiFi access is cheap on land. In order to provide internet access at sea, they need to use a satellite system (or have really long cables :lmao:), which is very expensive and not as fast and dependable as the internet offered on land (of course, it probably isn't as expensive as they actually charge for it, but they have a captive audience) Some cruise lines offer free or reduced priced internet to frequent cruisers but I don't believe any cruise line currently offers free internet to regular cruisers.

And yet, they are able to provide satellite TV in every cabin at no additional charge! Me thinks it's a conspiracy!

Thanks Joanne! Wish we had known sooner - we are booked on the 5 day NYC cruise to Canada in Sept. with Annika & Christian, which we are really excited about.

Nergis is sailing with us on this cruise so we should have plenty of 'pie'!

Gimme an "F"... Gimme an "O"!

Nope. You have to get the 1st 2 posts.

Yeah, I know. I had originally posted something in that post, but after the fact realized I had completely messed up what I was talking about. I couldn't figure out how to delete the post. So I just changed it. When I saw that it was the first post on a new page, that's when I changed it to FO. So, I know it's technically not an FO, but that faux pas is less embarrassing than what the original post was supposed to be!
