Parking question - Downtown Dis

I was wondering about any free parking on property. Is parking available at Downtown Disney? Thnx

Yes, parking at DTD is free, but if you're looking to take Disney transportation to the parks from there forget it. Disney transportation only goes to the resorts from DTD.

Yes, parking is free at DTD. I would echo what wdwrich said, it wouldn't be worth it just to avoid the parking fee at a park. The parking lot at DTD is just a smidge smaller than Rhode Island and can be a major trek from one end of DTD to the other. No trams either.

Yep, parking is free at DTD for those shopping there, going to PI or Cirque or eating dinner at one of the many restaurants there.

Parking is free but very hard to find parking spaces - especially in the evenings. We drove around for 20+ minutes looking for a parking space.

I just wanted to say that we were there last December and the parking was horrible. We drove around for quite a while and saw people literally fighting over spaces. Two cars would try to get into the same spot, horns were blowing, people were swearing at eachother. There were many near accidents and many threats were made. I couldn't believe it. I think I'll take the bus from now on.

Does Downtown Disney have valet parking? Or is that just for Pleasure Island? I remember using that once when we went to PI a few years back after circling the lot for 20 minutes, we decided to cough up for the valet - priceless to relieve the stress of that parking lot!!
