Parking Lot Trams

If they can pack rides and shows to the gills, there is no excuse for outdoor trams to not be running .... other than they aren't bringing back CMs and saving money.
Its a perfectly valid reason.

Saving money is valid, but that walk for many is a rough start to the day, especially at the MK where they seem to be filling the lot deep before all the spots closer are full. From back to Ferry is almost a mile. For folks who need to rent wheelchairs and strollers it's tough, and hot. The least they can do is reopen at MK.

I get going forward that the one change we will see with Disney is customer service will decline on anything that involves non-profit centers, but this borders on a safety issue.

I wonder how many people have never ridden a tram at WDW? I've been going since 1982 and in all that time have never ridden a tram from a parking lot to a park. I say from parking lot to park because I did ride the ones in MGM when they had the back lot tours. To be fair, I stay on property and use Disney transportation but I did stay off property once and I have driven to parks twice while staying on property.

We did. Especially at animal kingdom. I just got back from a trip that was thank God just my DD and I. I’m young and healthy and thought I was gonna pass out walking in the afternoon heat back out to the cars. There was no shade. Had my mother been with us at age 70 I seriously think I would’ve been calling an ambulance

Not at present
At first I heard once DCP started up
Than I heard late August
It’s September 4th and still nothing

When they do return you will probably have to buy a token at the toll plaza $5 per person per day for tram access (complementary with a DVC Blue Card and/or an incredi-pass)

this low price will also gain you access to use the express monorail or ferry if parking at TTC (or you can walk for free around bay lake paths)

the resort monorail, busses & skyliner will be complementary for guests going to/from the resort they are staying at (Magic band or Magic mobile will be scanned upon boarding)however if you are an off site guest or are going to another resort for an ADR or to look around you will be charged a price that is comparable to whatever the orlando area city busses are charging (I know pre covid where I’m from it was $3 for a day pass lasting 24 hours from time of purchase fwiw)

this is trolling I hope Bob and Josh don’t get ideas

Have you considered sending your resume and this idea to them? There could be an executive level position waiting for you.

I probably walked 75% off the time when trams were available. …as usually it was faster. (Sometimes it would be a race with family for who can get there first)

Wish they would bring them back.
Hopeful they will by December as we are staying off-site with our own car. But if not, I budgeted for preferred parking every day.

We almost never take them either, but we are lucky to not have anyone in our group with mobility issues. So many do, and this is a major problem. Occasionally my parents travel with us, and this situation would likely cause them to cancel.

Anytime I have travelled with people with mobility issues, they also had handicap tag so we parked in that lot. No trams there, and it can still be a bit of a walk at times. (Although they had scooters so no issue)

But, I do agree with the fact that people are paying $25/day so the trams should be available or they should have reduced the cost of parking.
