Parking for O'hana then MK

Another (not free) option is to get a cab to Poly in the morning, take the monorail/boat to the park and then ride the resort bus back home in the evening.

This is exactly what we are planning. Cab from AoA to Poly for a 7:30 Ohana, monorail or small boat to MK for the day, then bus back at the end of the day. Cab ride should be about the same cost as valet...with no worry about being towed or getting back to Poly and driving.

When I'm paying $500 for dinner at Ohana, or a show, the least worry should be a tow for self parking. At these rates, the resort's need a better solution for dinner guest parking.
At $50 tax & tip for Ohana, you have 10 people in your car? Or are you highly exaggerating your Ohana dinner expenditure?
As other posters stated, everyone in Ohana is paying the same price to dine at Ohana, and parking is quite limited, intended for resort guests and dinner guests, not theme park guests. Your 3 hour parking pass covers dining.

Happens at the Boardwalk Villas every single trip. Never seen a car towed. Not in 15 years. Wonder why they don't enforce it there? People walk or boat to two parks from there. And I've had no place to park many many times.
I would be annoyed to say the least!

You could Uber for about 2/3 the cost of a taxi!
