Park reservations until 2023?

I’ve seen that Disney opened up park reservations through 2023. Do we really think that will keep this system even after covid? And even through 2022? I know it’s all speculation on our parts.

I know they can take it away at any time and it’s best to have it there than to implement it last minute. But I was really hoping to be done with park reservations in 2022.

They only go about 2 weeks into 2023 as that's as long as a 2 week ticket purchased for a starting date of Dec 31, 2022 will take you.

That being said, it's entirely possible Park Pass Reservations are here to stay. Just depends on if Disney views them as beneficial post pandemic.

I mentioned this in a different thread but ask yourself what is the benefit for the guest versus Disney.? 2023... I can keep my money long term just in case or let Disney keep it cause I would have to purchase $park tickets$ plus probably start looking for resort reservations $deposit$ .
Is the new game for Disney needing my current money plus my future money in a Once Upon a Time Maybe World?

Disney has stated the parks reservations system is here to stay. So, no, i don’t think it will go away even when other covid measures are relaxed.

Oh wow. I didn’t know that. Well there goes that. I do believe it benefits Disney so I see why they’d keep it.

How does this affect park hopping? We were going to get hoppers for our December 2022 trip, as my kids are older and more flexible now to be able to hop to a different park after dinner. Having to make multiple park pass reservations every day seems like even MORE complicated Disney planning?

You won't need to make reservations for the parks you'll be hopping to. You will just need to make a reservation for your first park each day, and that's the only park you can go to before 2 PM. You'll be able to hop without reservations after that.

Yep, Josh said that back in August, so I wasn't surprised to see it extended. Doesn't really make a difference for me anyway as it really isn't much different than picking a park for FPs.

With hopping, is there a way to know that a park has reached capacity before you head over? I’m going mid March and just got my ticket this weekend. the day we have dinner at 50s prime time, the studio is not available. I chose Epcot instead. since I’m at Bwv, we thought we could touch at Epcot then head to the studios at 5:00pm. But holding an adr doesn’t guarantee park entrance. I’m struggling with should I just cancel now, or try. If I knew the studios was not at capacity before we head over, that would be good. Like many of us, this is new and my first trip back since the world changed.

Yes, they have a number you can call that will give you the info on if any parks are unavailable to hop to.

(407) 560-5000

Alternatively, if you are going from one park straight to another, I believe there are cast members at the bus stop that will let you know if anything is unavailable.
