Park Reservations - Any luck same day?

Long story short - ordered tickets from a 3rd party 6 weeks ago. I have not received them yet so we are just showing up tomorrow and buying tickets on site. I see that only Epcot has availability the rest of the week. We plan to take whatever is available and then hop in the afternoon. Our daughter is marching in the parade at MK on Friday but it's after 2 PM so I think we'll be OK that day.

My question - has anyone had any luck getting same day park reservations after a park was previously showing no availability? I thought I remembered a post where someone said they called WDW and got park reservations after being on hold for quite a while. If we have to start at Epcot every day it's not the end of the world but wondering if anyone has any tips or suggestions.

We've been able to get reservations midnight-before or morning-of for a park that was previously unavailable (DHS even!), so it may be possible. Good luck!

Yes, some have reported being able to do this. My recommendation is to get to Epcot as early as possible tomorrow. If any of the parks go 'gray' for any days this week you will not be able to purchase a multiple day ticket as Disney will not sell you a ticket for any day that is at full capacity.

Once you have your tickets, keep looking for availability (by trying to book if you can) as reservations do open up. The challenge will be that the only way to truly find availability is to have a vacant day on your ticket. You need to cancel your first park reservation to try and book a new park which is risky.

The Park Availability is not updated real time so information there isn't necessarily factual. When you first buy your tickets I would check for availability at the parks you wish to go to before booking Epcot for each day.
