I'm curious about what an impending war might do to overall attendance at the parks and resorts. :( It seems like WDW is already suffering with staff cutbacks and such.

I can see where in the long haul, there might be less people traveling for whatever reasons / hardships (either they're deployed; they're covering for their fellow Americans who have been deployed; economic crunch; cutbacks & slowdowns, etc., etc. -- you name it...).

I think some people are sadly getting "conditioned" to heightened alerts and threats, so while I am sure it will have some impact, I don't think it will have the same impact that immediately followed September 11.

I could, of course, be very wrong. It's happened before!

We will be at WDW in seven days, And we will have a good time. Have been planning this trip for one year...........

4 days and counting!!!

Yes, I think there will be an impact on international guests, and due to increased gas prices, those traveling long distances. Hopefully, the war will be shortlived, and not have the devasting impact that 9/11 did on tourism. Only time will tell.

We, however, will be going about our lives as usual! That is why our men and women, joined by those from Britain, Bulgaria, Spain, Austrailia, and Portugal are in the Middle East... to assure that we retain our freedoms, and those being oppressed come to enjoy some of the freedoms that we take for granted.
