That is such a spectacular idea! My kids used to do that on New Years Eve. A good family friend of ours was a director of a nursing home. He and his wife had six kids. They would invite all the kids' friends and their families to the early New Year's Eve party at the nursing home. We would all visit with and dance with the residents. It really helped the party vibe along. It was tons of fun!Not yet- School doesn't end until the last week of June so still have another month before that stuff happens! Jr Prom was last night and they had a blast there- they leave all the decorations up and today the honor society hosts a bunch of senior citizens for a spring party. The kids all had to bring a half tray of food and bottle of soda, they had a DJ and the kids all danced with, as they said, "the old people"- there was SO much grumbling going on today because they all had to get up and be there by 11 and they just got home from prom after parties after 2am but then we all started getting texts from the kids "this is great, I am dancing with these cute old people" - my friends daughter texted her "this is better than the Jr Prom" LOL- so young and old had a good time!
