Panama Canal Eastbound Sept. 14, 2013--it'll be WONDER-ful

I have always booked on board, but my daughter says she has seen the tastings all online, so, if they are available now, we will probably book ahead of time. She does NOT like Tequila so probably will not go with us to that one, but they have a lot of great ones to try.
Plus, just realized this is my 9th post! YAY! I feel like one of the group!:cool1:

Tracy :yay:

I have never seen tastings on pre boarding but this gives me somethig to look for. Just another opportunity to open the reservation :surfweb:

Hello everyone. I just wanted to check in. We have been busy. I am staying at my DD's right now and I am thrilled to say, Randy and I are proud grand parents of a baby boy. He was born early in the morning on July 21. He was 8.5 lbs and 21 and a half inches long. It going to be hard to leave him when it's time to go home.

Congrats that's great news :)

I just logged on to try and book and couldn't see any of them could you tell me where to look please?

We switched our flight to Southwest coming home. I am having trouble finding out Wheelchair transportation from the the port to Hobby.

On the brighter note my my daughter is getting married in August. I gave them this cruise. OTG rates are the best.

I've always booked on the ship - sure would be nice to do it in advance! I checked my reservation but couldn't find any drink tastings. As I was starting this reply I thought maybe your daughter signed up online as part of a group on the disboards since sometimes the meet groups pre-arrange drink tastings. As soon as we board, we usually have half of our group run to the area for Palo ressies and the other half go to Guest Services to sign up for drink tastings so doing it online would help!

On another note: 52 days!!!!!!

I got transportation figured out

Great and good news.
I have only had to travel 3 times with a wheelchair. The first time was on a NYE cruise with my mother. We managed and I learned a lot from that experience. The other two were with my DS to WDW. He has bad knees and it was a big help even though it is a hassle. I am glad you got it figured out.

I am sure your daughter will make a beautiful bride. You are a great dad. We gave our son and daughter in law a cruise for their 5th wedding anniversary. It got them hooked on Disney cruises also.

How exciting! Congratulations to all!

I haven't had the chance to talk to her in a couple days, but as soon as I do I will ask her where she saw it. You are right. It would be really helpful, but we have never had a problem getting in even when we just see it in the Navigator.
Question - Has anyone ever rented a car at LAX one way and is there a drop off at or within walking distance to Crowns Plaza?
My daughter and her boyfriend are coming in on a later flight and we were thinking of going back to pick them up if we had a car.

P.S. Congratulations to the person who's daughter is getting married! :lovestruc.
That is really fantastic!

I've been in a wheelchair 20 years after my military injury. This is our 17 time on a Disney ship :) (military rates are the best)

Late comer to the party, just decided today to celebrate ending 36 years of employment by rewarding myself to this cruise. Gonna take a lot of reading to catch up.

I thought I remembered reading that yours was a military injury.

Mom's wound up in the wheelchair in the last of her battle with colon cancer and my son's knees are going to pot due to being spina bifida. Unfortunately we feel he will ultimately wind up in a chair since there is no surgery they can do to help him.

:welcome: So glad you are joining us. Read away and ask us if you need anything answered you have not read and let us know if you want to join any of our activities.

There is an Enterprise car rental next to the Crowne Plaza but they close pretty early and have no after hours drop off. You can drop other companies at John Wayne/Orange Co airport and cab to Crowne Plaza as well.

 Hurray for you, retirement is a good thing :thumbsup2

Thanks for the welcome, I'm looking for help in figuring out how to get back to Houston Hobby from the port..... it's just me.

Got a cabin number assigned today. No upgrade, but we have a 9C, so we are happy.
