Panama Canal Eastbound Sept. 14, 2013--it'll be WONDER-ful

I haven't had the chance to talk to her in a couple days, but as soon as I do I will ask her where she saw it. You are right. It would be really helpful, but we have never had a problem getting in even when we just see it in the Navigator.
Question - Has anyone ever rented a car at LAX one way and is there a drop off at or within walking distance to Crowns Plaza?
My daughter and her boyfriend are coming in on a later flight and we were thinking of going back to pick them up if we had a car.

P.S. Congratulations to the person who's daughter is getting married! :lovestruc.
That is really fantastic!

Tracy

Not staying at the Crown Plaza or flying into LAX this time but there is a trick I have used several times for just such an occasion. If the Crown Plaza has airport transportation you can always request transportation to the airport before your daughter comes in and then all take it back.

I don't believe the Crowne Plaza has transpo from/to LAX.

Thanks for the welcome, I'm looking for help in figuring out how to get back to Houston Hobby from the port..... it's just me.

I looked up super shuttle. I am getting a 10 person Van that his wheelchair accessible. For the four of us. It's only $140.

Interested in picking up a hitchhiker to defray your costs a bit? :confused3

I'm waiting a reply from DCL as to whether they'll have ground transportation, seems kind of odd that they would not, but I can't find it on the website. If they do, I'm golden, if not, I've got to scramble. :rolleyes2

I just found out about this site. We are going on the PC cruise sept 14. We can't wait. Three of us, Dan, Kelly, Catherine is 11 - she is so excited!
We homeschool and are thrilled to hear there will be others on board.

I will have to ask my wife. :-)

Disney doesn't have transportation to Hobby

That is the reason all of us are finding other arrangements.

Welcome. DCL stopped transfers from the port to Hobby on June 1st and many of us have had to scramble.

I am not sure who mentioned Halloween on the ship but I read today that Halloween on the Wonder starts on Sept. 28th after we get off. Darn.

How do we sign up for fe?

I have put you on our FE list.

Now we just have to get your posting count up to 10 so that you and I can pm the information so you can receive the list.

:welcome: we are glad you are joining us.

For those involved in the FE. . . . I have added KellyKat's information.

Remember we only have 6 more days to join the FE.

FYI, I have heard that the Mexicali Menu from night 7 has been replaced with a Taste of the Caribbean menu. I have ALL of the menus if anyone is wanting to see them. Feel free to send me a PM if there are any you want. Also, planning our DCL trips is like crack to me....can't get enough and I like to be super organized about it. I have a mad-crazy chart that I made, showing each day's port, show, menu, dress code, and navigator highlights. If anyone else would benefit from that, I'd be happy to share.

I would love a copy of your chart! Would be very helpful in packing and deciding on clothes. Email me Thekoeppens@ aol. Com

Having just booked this cruise yesterday, I'm madly reading through the board, up to page 67 now, see that everyone was talking about Port to Hobby transportation starting about page 60.

If there are any other newcomers out there still in need of transportation to Hobby, I'm happy to form a group to take a 10 passenger SupperShuttle Safari to Hobby.

A 10 passenger van won't hold 10 adults with tons of cruise luggage, so perhaps 6 folks or so.

Please count me in on the recipe exchange.

The gifts are up to you. Most of us do a one time gift. It can be a gift for everyone in the cabin, a cabin gift with a little extra for children in the room, it is your choice and also whatever fits in your budget and luggage. Do not put yourself in a situation, just have fun with it. I have received calendars, magnets, candy, items that are relevant to the givers home area, note pads, keychains and lots of other stuff.
There are several threads that show what people make, buy and give. Do a search on FE and/or FE gifts. If you can't find them let me know, I have a list. I will try to find it and post it a little later to give you a help.
But rest assured you will not disappoint. It is a fun addition to the cruise and gives you a chance to explore other areas of the ship.
