It's about time I got around to starting Mick's trip report to the World! And the reason I'm doing this right now is that I'm not wanting to do the real work I'm supposed to be doing. Yet I feel I need a break, so here goes!
I have already posted the outfits that I made for Mick before our trip. I wanted to make a few more, but I felt it was essential to finish my
MNSSHP costume, instead. Oh well. . .
Flashback with me to last October. It's finally time to go to the airport. We arrive bright and early, and I unveil Mick to the kids. They're thrilled to see him, but I haven't yet revealed that he actually
talks, mostly to spare the poor souls on this early flight to Orlando.
Here's Mick with Sweetie Girl's puppy, Lisa:
And here I am with them, feeling just as tired as I look:
It's finally time to board, so we get on and I strap Mick into his seat for a smooth and safe flight ...
... and before you know it, this is what we're seeing!
Once we arrive at our Resort, Port Orleans Riverside, I reveal Mick's hidden talent, and the looks on the kids faces is just priceless! This is going to be a great week!
First order of business - it's time to meet Mickey Mouse at Chef Mickey's. Mick is very thrilled about this, especially when he dons his own chef's costume. See how proud he is of it?
And a little while later, it's time to meet the Main Mouse himself! Chef Mickey is so thrilled to see his mini-me, that he jumps around all over the dining area with Mick. Actually, I'm not sure who was more excited, Mickey or the kids seeing how excited Mickey was.
And here's the whole family (we used this shot for our Christmas card):
The other characters had fun with Mick. Goofy didn't seem to know what do make of him...
Minnie just kept on hugging him:
... and Donald tried to beat him up! Shame on you, Donald!
After dinner we headed on over to the Magic Kingdom for a bit.
Then it was time to return to POR. Mick was tired out from his very busy day. He changed into this jammies and got ready for bed, snuggling with the bunny towel animal left by Mousekeeping. It was a very fun day.
