Yeah, I think he might be a ghost. All I have to do is cut a circle and some holes for his ears that way. I found the mitts and socks at Target...I also found a dog costume for a skeleton that might work....

I was hoping for Mr. Potato Head - but I think I'm missing the obvious on this one. It just doesn't look very good and I hate to do something that isn't easily recognizable as what it's supposed to be, kwim?

So a ghost will be the back up...with a skeleton as the back up back up...he'll be the PAL with the most options I guess...

Did everyone get one of the Halloween sweaters from Michaels or AC Moore? I picked one up a few weeks ago for about $2 or so...it's cute.

Looks like it might be a warm week to go...I was hoping for a little bit cooler, but it will be better than August at least!

I'm at the Saratoga Springs with my sister...where is everyone else?

Nicky is planning to go as Tigger. He knows that is my favorite Disney character (he's over his initial disappointment that it wasn't him). We are going to the Oct. 18 MNSSHP.

I can't wait! I love Disney pictures but I have to say that pictures of Pal Mickey in all his different outfits are my favorites. Sounds like your Mick has some great costumes.

Everyone - If you have a hunter in the family, Target has a Hunter's hat that fits Pal nicely. Go to the pet section where the dog beds are sold. Look for the Woolrich items. The hat is soooooo adorable. It is a Woolrich red and black plaid cap lined with white sherpa wool. The ear flaps tie up onto the top just like the real ones do. It is only 4.99. Oh and the size xs is too small for Mick. Get the size small. This is going to look great for someone doing a Halloween Hunter costume. In our case he can wear it with one of his winter sweaters at Christmas.

My sister and I will be there 10/15-10/19! Anyone else going to MNSSHP on 10/16? What will your PAL be dressed as? I'm trying to make a Mr. Potato Head costume, but so far it looks...well, like a brown lump. Not exactly what I wanted...

Back to square one...

We'll be there!!! And since I've been spending sooooooooooooo much time trying to finish my costume, I'll have to purchase a Pirate Costume for Mick when we arrive. Or else I can dress him in his Chef Mickey's costume, but the Pirate one will go better with our costumes.

So, look for us - Captain Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth Swann (in the gold dress), Peter Pan and Pocahontas. I CAN'T WAIT!!! (And it better not rain, either!)

P.S. - we'll be staying at POR from the 13th -20th.

oh guys - there is a pin for Halloween that has Mickey dressed as a Candy Corn. I just bought it from eBay. That also might be a cute costume for somebody's Pal.

That will be so cool. I'll be heading to Target. Nov. 15 (opening rifle deer season) is a U.P. National Holiday! Most of the schools have off. They learned a long time ago that they wouldn't have enough students & teachers to have it be an official day anyway so they might as well schedule it as a holiday.

That hat is absolutely adorable. I couldn't resist. Here is Nicky modelling our new buy.

I also found the coolest addition to his wardrobe for Halloween at JoAnn's. It was 1/2 off (all Halloween stuff was). They had dog costumes as well as people costumes. He may still wear matching shirts with Chuck & I so that he can wear this. Chuck & I are going to be wearing our MNSSHP shirts with Pumpkin Mickey Ears.

He also got a new sweater from Michaels. It is the black sweater with a ghost on it. They had a black sweater with a pirate on it that I almost bought but he already has a pirate costume. Also, I'm not thrilled with black tees because I don't think they flatter him (against his black body).

Yes yes that's the cap!! Adorable on Pal.

For a different look, fold the flaps up behind his ears and put the cord up to hold the flaps up. Cord holds flaps up cutely since its adjustable. You won't need it under his chin because his big ol ears are gonna keep the cap on.


I also have flipped up the bill of the cap. LOL He looked then just like the real Mickey in one of his old black & white cartoons.

We'll be at the second parade and will most likely be sitting in Frontierland or Liberty Square. It all depends upon how the crowds are.

DD may change her mind and be Tinkerbell... we won't really know until that day.

If I have the chance to post my costume so you know what it looks like, I'll do that. Otherwise I'll be the one with a BBB hairstyle, wearing a gold Elizabeth Swann dress, wearing purple crocs!

And we'll all be carrying black treat bags with designs from the MNSSHP design thread.
