I was playing with the color selection mode on my camera and DD5 was dancing around in her new dress. Anyhow, I think it's kind of a cool picture!

Those dresses are so cute. Your MIL does some of the cutest stuff for your girls.

To the person who posted the Mickey Mouse skirts-I love those skirts that were posted. Your two daughters looked like they had a great time.

OMG! SSSSSLLLLLOOOOOWWWW Down! I took one day off from checking the boards and it went up another 15 pages!!! However, just wanted to say to everyone that I'm loving what I'm seeing!

Thank you! It's a JoAnn's exclusive fabric (according to the selvage edge). It was on an end display with some other summer-y quilting fabrics at my store. :)

Ooooh - thank you! :thumbsup2 There are a few Joann's in Buffalo!!! Gotta buy some of that fabric, my kids are obssesed with palm trees!

2cutekidz I LOVE the fabrics you used for the mickey outfit - adorable! Makes me want to make a grown-up sized one ;) I love the pics of your DS all chocolate covered - he sure found a great way to entertain himself!

Do you use a pattern for these?? I'd love to make some like this for DH and he "NEEDS" cargo pockets. . . so they would be perfect!

I finally uploaded my pictures from the Claire's 3rd birthday party on Saturday. Here are pictures of the storybook panel skirt I made for them to wear since it was a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme. I let my husband take some at the beginnning of the party and apparently he doesn't know to turn the camera and take some vertical too!

IMG_5709.jpg

Here they are running to go down the big slide. We had the party at an indoor bouncy place since I couldn't deal with being pregnant and having all of those people in my house!

Climbing up the slide!

Looks like a great party! Love the Playhouse Mickey skirts-I need to make one for my DD.

A few weeks ago I posted about my baby boy (also known as my dog) Oscar having seizures. I haven't posted any pictures of him in a while so I found these! Here is my little baby!

Oscar loving his auntie, my sister!

P7220063.jpg

I love this picture. It shows his true nature and why I love him so much! Here he is letting Grace use him as a pillow (taken about 2 1/2 years ago). Such a good boy!

P1220121.jpg

He hasn't had any more seizures so I am hopeful that maybe it will only occur very infrequently. He has acted fine since then so I am praying! The vet doesn't want to medicate him if the seizures aren't very frequent since the medicine will cause him to be sleepy - and he already sleeps 20 hours a day! Thanks to everyone who prayed for him for us, we really appreciate it!
What a sweet looking little puppy!!!

Sorry for hogging, but I'm in a picture posting kind of mood!

Somebody a couple of weeks ago showed a Minnie Dot dress made from a Simplicity pattern that was absolutely adorable. Here is a dress that I bought from Chasing Fireflies last year for my girls that is so similar, I think only the neckline is different!

These are about a year old but the dress is still available from Chasing Fireflies.

Thanks for letting me share!
So cute!!! The hand on the shoulder gets me! :) They look so adorable!

Sing it with me now....

Schooooooooool's out for summer!

Oh no! The summer has now begun! I can hear them downstairs now fighting over something...possilby who will be the first to push Mommy over the edge this year! No really...I am exctied about this summer! We have so much planned...But first we have to make it to Disney.

:offtopic: for just a minute and a slight rant. Now we take care of my FIL because let's face it the rest of the family....well...they are mean! I really have a hard time blaming them sometimes, because he IS difficult. Well, I think I discovered today that he is jealous we are going to WDW and putting him in respite care (that we are paying well over $1000! to do). So, he is trying to act all sad in front of the kids. Taking him is not an option because of his health. I am really mad at him! I NEED this vacation and will NOT feel guilty about this...I won't! Please tell me I won't! EEEEEEERRRRRRR!!! My DH deserves this time, we all deserve this time. My DH even pointed out to me today that he thinks that he is doing this to make us feel bad...but he said there is no way we can change the way things are. I mean there is a lot of family that could take care of him and NONE of them will take time out of their lives to do anything for him.

Okay...done now...have lots to do..

Oh wow, you have been busy taking care of people! My Mom takes care of my 90 year old Grandma, and I know that you DESERVE and NEED this vacation! ALONE with just your family! Do not even feel one drop of guilt over this. You guys are going to have a great vacation!

It is so hot today!!!! Everytime we turn on the AC it blows a fuse!!:furious:
so I really did not do a lot of sewing

worked on this outfit this morning

That is really cute!

oh no...don't get me wrong...I know what you say about the deserve thing and I LIVE on a budget and we have no debt because of that...we have just really had a bad couple of years. We have been the ones to care for both his mother and father (both lived with us) and helped with my grandparents. His mom passed away 3 years ago, my grandfather 2 years ago. His Dad moved in with us 3 months after his mom passed. We rarely get "family" time for just the 5 of us, and I guess that is what I think we deserve, not the vacation...just time. I worry sometimes my kids have been exposed to such pain that they need to be kids...ya know?

Yep, you all need a nice break!

Sorry, I've been at my Master's class all day and unable to respond!!! It's actually this fabric I'm looking for...

greenfabric2.jpg

I want it to coordinate with this fabric...

Thanks anyways though!!! You all are so sweet on here!!

Ahhh, you are trying to coordinate the two most elusive fabrics known to Disboutiquers!!!! People have spent their entire sewing career trying to find those two fabrics!!! :lmao:

I love the cargo pocket for their games!!! Great idea!!!

And, can I just say how jealous I am of you guys whos kids are already out of school! My kids get out on Thursday, then Corey has to go to school Saturday to make up for his extra vacation days. (He says it is worth it though!) I want my summer to be started already too!!!!!

Wowza! Lots of great stuff posted lately!!

Well, I took the plunge and listed this set on :wizard: this morning. What do you all think?

th_IMG_1082.jpg

Love this! Is that skirt more than 2x full? I love the fullness of it and the fabrics you used.

DS6 (7 next week) and DS5 wanted me to post these! :rotfl2: They were so excited that I made something for THEM (I'm such a good Mom, everything I make is for the girls....bad Mom....bad Mom....) and they LOVE seeing everyone's kids, so, the minute these were finished and they had them on, they grabbed the camera and took me outside! :lmao:
ANYWAY! These are for them!

awww, love those boys! I can't believe it's almost Blake's birthday! :scared1: I remember when he was born!

I noticed those shoes too.

My kids get out next Wednesday but some of my coworkers kids don't get out til the 23rd.

LOVE the fabric! So cute! Okay, I am askeered to try that pattern, how difficult is it? YIKES!!! :scared1:

OH MY GOSH! She will LOVE It! SOOOOO CUTE!!! Happy Birthday, Eliz!!! :lovestruc

The pattern wasnt too hard - but it was a tiny bit trickier cause to me the steps for the collar were a bit confusing at first - and then there are 4 buttons involved (although i think you could use snaps instead!! Give it a try!!! Elizabeth did like her outfit, it was a bit big, so I have to adjust it - she's inbetween sizes!!

How do you do these skirts - they are soooo cute!! How many pages of the book do you use??? I'd love to make these!!! Any tips??????? Your girls are ADORABLE!!!!!

I found the cutest shirt for Lily at Disneyland. I can't wait to make a skirt for it! I think it would also look cute under a jumper...hmmm, can't decide what to do! I bought an XS instead of an XXS but it seems kinda big (the XXS seemed kinda little :confused3 ) but this way it will fit longer.

IMG_0678-1.jpg

(those are Lily's hands, she was standing there saying "cheeeeese" as I took photos) :rotfl:
