P&P Party tickets

I hope they continue to have the parties too! I was looking forward to my first Pirate and Princess party on April 1st.

I can't believe how many people from here want to go on the first of April. Well we will see tomorrow morning when I make another phone call. Lets all cross our fingers.

Not today, sorry. Monday 11-17. The CM I spoke to says she thinks it should be any day now. :confused3 I told her about the rumor of not having any parties in '09 and she sounded real surprised and said she didn't hear anything like that. So as usual I will call again tomorrow morning.

subbing, we've been the past 2 years and really really looking forward to going again this year... there better be one when we're down or we'll come down early just to attend one like we did last year! LOL

I just booked my hotel stay for April 25th to May2nd, so that I can see the May 1st MP&PP. I really hope that they iron things out soon so that I can buy my ticket. pirate: & princess: = :woohoo:

Thats the same night I want to go. Hopefully those tickets will be on sale soon.

still crossing my fingers that they have this!

I called earlier today I had to change my base ticket to park hopper & I asked about P&P party....nothing yet. Did say they plan on them but no actual dates yet...I'm hoping for late January....

Well, they need to decide soon. If they aren't going to have them, that will change my plans all together. I am still going for my birthday, but won't stay as long if no P&PP.

I've been lurking and checking back on this thread daily. Thanks Stitchfans for your daily updates. We are hoping for one on April 22. This will be our first trip to Disney as a family with DD11 and DS6..

While we're patiently waiting for news, can you tell me why you love the P & P? What makes it a must do? I'm just considering how much there is to see and do already... Is it really worth the $$$? Convince me!

I am hoping today is "the day"...been hoping that every day though :) Keeping my fingers crossed!

We went to our first P&PP party last year and it was worth every dime! First of all, my husband *freaked* out when he learned that I had spent money on more tickets when we had tickets in our package. Anyway, when we got there, there were DROVES of people heading out and very few coming in!! We were on and EMPTY boat on Pirates. He rode BTMRR twice without getting off and was on Splash Mountain with two other people!! No lines for ANY rides, and often CMs would just let you keep riding.

Also, the character meet and greets were awesome. This is the only place we had to wait the entire night. They also have dance parties where characters are dancing with the kids. My DD5 loved dancing with Chip and Dale, Flounder, Sebastian and more!!

The fireworks show was amazing and the lights that they used with the castle was astounding. We were literally the only ones on Tomorrowland Terrace. The parade was awesome too. Everything about this night was awesome.

When we started planning this year's trip, the first words out of my hubby's mouth was, "Are they having the Pirate and Princess party again?" For us, it was worth every dime to be able to enjoy the MK with no crowds and all the benefits of the party.

And that's the problem. The thing that makes them great for guests---no one goes---makes it very much not great for Disney---no one goes.

Disney needs to figure out a way to get more people into these things to keep them running. And, if more people go, is it still worth going to? The parade is better than the daytime parade. The Pirate half was really unique, but I thought the princess half felt a little familiar. The fireworks are amazing. Meeting Captain Jack was cool, too. Other than that, I thought the party entertainment and decorations were a little thin.

We went last year on the super-advance AP discount---with two adults and two kids, it worked out to about $30 per person. It was worth $30. This year, the prices are higher and one of my Disney-kids became a Disney-adult, making the per-person price about $45.

I don't think I'd go back for $45 a person. That's $10 more per person than I'm paying for regular admission on this trip with 8-day MYW+hopping.

This is a bit of a deal breaker for me too. I'm going on a cruise and when I saw there was a pirate: & princess: Party the day after we return, I extended our stay. Without the party, I suppose we're going to just go home on Thursday afternoon, instead of Saturday.

i booked my package last night and asked about the p & p party but they said they had the dates but were not sure when the tickets were going to be out. :confused3

Are the P and PP dates 2009 the ones that we have seen posted around? Has Disney actually published the dates anywhere yet?
