And that's the problem. The thing that makes them great for guests---no one goes---makes it very much not great for Disney---no one goes.
Disney needs to figure out a way to get more people into these things to keep them running. And, if more people go, is it still worth going to? The parade is better than the daytime parade. The Pirate half was really unique, but I thought the princess half felt a little familiar. The fireworks are amazing. Meeting Captain Jack was cool, too. Other than that, I thought the party entertainment and decorations were a little thin.
We went last year on the super-advance AP discount---with two adults and two kids, it worked out to about $30 per person. It was worth $30. This year, the prices are higher and one of my Disney-kids became a Disney-adult, making the per-person price about $45.
I don't think I'd go back for $45 a person. That's $10 more per person than I'm paying for regular admission on this trip with 8-day MYW+hopping.
