P&P Party tickets

I hope they have it because I wanted to go May 1, but it sure doesn't sound like it will happen. Oh well, I'll just have to burn an admission off my non-expiring tickets.

Hey, I am only going by what you said above....Is that not what you said? You also said you were not an official source...correct? Please correct me if I misunderstood what you wrote above. I gathered that Moms panel sits on the Disney site...that it is not run by Disney and independent of it. If it was run by Disney how could information given there be incorrect at times? No rudeness intended but really am curious how Disney would have a site that uses public sources like the DIS and other sites to make announcements, wouldn't they want a site owned by them ot give out only correct info?

Apologies if my reaction was too abrupt before. I should recognize that the concept of the Moms Panel really is confusing (it took me a while to "get it" as well).

Anyway, it's part of a relatively new social media marketing concept/strategy that is becoming popular with many corporations. They definitely own the site, and we provide independent opinions about their "product." I'd like to think of us as being kind of like that Santa at Macys (Miracle on 34th Street) -- telling the kids to sometimes shop elsewhere, etc., if appropriate. That way people gain even more respect for the brand and the advice offered (be it Macy's or Disney). OK, perhaps it's a stretch!!

Apology accepted really no biggie...I am curious though about giving out information that is not official though. I would think Disney would be all over that. I do love the Santa reference and yes, I agree that would be a good thing for Disney to do.


That being said...Do not pop my bubble on the P&P parties. I want to hold on to hope as long as I can. I have never gone to one of these parties and was all excited that one happened to fall on one of three days that I will be in Orlando. I really hope Disney makes a decision soon because they have a lot of people who like to make plans in limbo. Either way I am gong to be in WDW and that is what counts. Thanks for the info....Maybe I will check out the panel seems like an intersting concept. How did they pick the people?

if you click on Registration, about halfway down the registration page, there's a section about "Purchase Commemorative Items" and lists the party tickets in there.

Could be their just doing a P & P for race participants only...or they just haven't gotten around to cancelling this one.

The fact that it's buried in there, they may have missed it. The calendar showing MK open until 8:00pm, with Wishes @ 8:00. One of them isn't correct.

Hi everyone, I've got good news and bad news. I was switched to 5 different apartments and finally ended up with Magic Kingdom entertainments. A CM named Jeffery told me that it is on their board that all parties are canceled for the beginning of 2009. The first party scheduled will be for April 1st.

This is why I said good news and bad news. Cause I was looking towards the April 1st one. He ran off the list real quickly so I couldn't get it all down. Really sorry. When I pressed him for when the tickets would go on sale he said it doesn't show. He then said call back the first of January cause the Christmas parties would be over then.

I then said, but I am going to be calling in and making my reservations for the dining on the first of Dec. I told him if there wasn't any parties then my plans for the parks would be changed. He then said well then you can ask then. At that point I got the impression he was just trying to say anything to get rid of me.

So this is latest news I have. Take it or leave. As usual it is wait and see. I will make my ADRs and ask then. Lets not all give up the dream you all. Anyone for April 1st on up has a good fighting chance.

I'd planned on making our plans for April 1st as if there would be a P&P party, so that we can swing into action just in case, so I'm good to go if Jeffery is correct. Here's hoping he is!

We were hoping for the 22nd of April but the park hours changed back to a lter closing for that day as of a few days ago....

My Daughter's Make a Wish trip is Scheduled for February so that we could do a P&P party, guess we will just have to miss out. I don't want her to wait until April for something I might get more fun out of then her.

I thought there was already a P&P party advertised as party of the 5K in March. Has this been canceled too?
