P & P party discount!

I just bought my tickets this morning and the discounted price for adults comes to $31.90 each.

The dates for january are the 21st, 26th and 29th.

The Annual Passholder's discount is as follows:

Discounted tickets are available for purchase 10/31–12/15 for event dates between January 1, 2008, and March 14, 2008. Passholders save 35% off advance purchase tickets

Hmmmm. I called MS today to add the night of Jan 26 (the night we get off of our DCL Eastern cruise) so that we could go to the P & P party. MS got me a studio that night at SSR, but flatly told me that tickets were not available yet and that they could not even confirm the dates! Did ya'll buy your tickets through MS?

Also, is there a DVC discount for the night of the 26th?

Yes there is a discount for the 26th. I ordered my tickets yesterday, just have to pick them up at will call on to show them my AP, but the DVC disc was the same so you would just have to show them your blue card I guess.

I ordered mine through CRO. I'll need photo ID and my DVC blue card.

I paid the price for Priority Seating and dessert buffet and DL for fantasmic, and although the food wasn't worth it the chair and uncrowded viewing was!

I haven't been before, but if they are limiting these parties to 25,000 the park won't be crowded at all. That is the reason I am going. Plus the parades, festivities, etc.

We went Sept 3rd and had a blast, we are planning on going to the Jan 29th one because we liked it so much! We are two adult without kids we were worried it would be too "kiddie", NOT AT ALL, we were upset after we did not get more into the dressing up part of it!!

Its fun going to all the "X's" on the map, The fireworks alone where worth it!!!

I have been reading up on the PPP and it looks interesting, altho my boys 10 and 12 say it looks kiddish...... Has anyone taken there boys in this age group and how did they like it? I was thinking of booking tickets just because the park will not be to busy and we are going at a busy time! I was also looking into the price and one site quoted $29.95 for an annual passholder rate!

I just ordered P & P tickets for the Jan. 21 one thru the AP hotline last Sat. (DVC MS had me on hold forever and the 2 discount rates were the same). They can be picked up at the Will Call window. Both the DVC rate and the AP rate come to $31.90 with the tax. NOTE that this discount is only good thru Dec. 15 tho - then the price goes up to like $45 or $46!

Our DS is 10. We went to a P & P party when we were there in August on a Sat. nite so I'm guessing it would've been even more crowded than it will be on MLK nite but I don't know. It wasn't so much about the pirate theme for us as it was to be there when it wasn't so crowded! Any time you have to PAY EXTRA to be there that automatically minimizes the crowd!

Anyway, they have a special parade and the fireworks were AWESOME - you can see them from all over the park!! REALLY good fireworks. We sat outside Pecos Bills and ate while they were going off. The Magic Kingdom closes at 7:00 that nite unless you have your P & P wristband - I think they sorta herded all of us into Tomorrowland while the rest of the park cleared out. But then everything was pretty much free game! They give you a treasure map & a loot bag then you work your way from spot to spot - when you find the "treasure spot" you get some candy and a bead necklace as your "loot". I think each spot was giving out a different color necklace so it was just fun to collect the diff. colors and wear them. Anyway, the no line thing is worth it if you only have a limited amount of time to spend - like when we go in January we are going for 4 n. and will only have 3 full days - so this will really help us be able to get thru everything we want to do in the MK!

We ordered out tickets for Feb 22 through member services today. Had to call them because we needed to add the Friday night to our trip. I told DH that if they still had a 1 bedroom available at VWL it would be a sign that we should go to the party again. Although it hurt to cough up 60 points for the extra night! Probably should have asked about moving to a studio but I hate to move if I don't have to. The party was awsome in August and DD is very excited about going again and taking a friend with her. The shows, parade and fireworks were the highlights for us. Although she did have fun finding every color bead. It was so hot the chocolate was melting so we didn't bother much with that. The lines for rides were pretty much non-existent. We cannot wait to go again even though we figure a Friday night during presidents week is going to be much more crowded than it was in August.
